I just had the VERY worst customer service experience EVER! I called mass mutual at (313)960-7881…read morebecause I have received 11, yes, eleven phone calls from that number in the last 24 hours! When I called I was told that "they" were trying to contact "Mr. Name" for a life insurance quote. I explained that I was not "Mr. Name", called anyone 11 times within 24 hours was ridiculous and that I wanted my number removed from their call list. The person then explained that I SHOULD HAVE ANSWERED THE PHONE TO TELL THEM THAT I WAS NOT "Mr. Name". I explained that it is ridiculous for a company to call anyone 11 times in one day and that I work ALLLLLLL day! I do not have time to answer random unsolicited calls! She became rude and told me that "all I had to do was answer the phone"! And she hung up! No apology! No confirmation that my name was removed! Nothing! She hung up! I certainly hope that it is not the policy of Mass Mutual to harass and disrespect potential clients. I called back and spoke with someone who promised to remove my name! I will share this story with everyone that I know and report my experience to the state of Michigan and FCC. It is illegal to harass and phish for potential clients! Shame on you Mass Mutual for allowing this type of behavior!

State farm, while accepting liability for the car that plowed into the car behind me, says they are not liable for that car then hitting another car that ended up hitting my car. Unfortunately, things weren't quite as good as they appeared initially. Here are the reasons for the 2 star review: - The quoted policy amount and the final policy amount were ~$50 different (~10% on my 6 month auto policy). I attempted to call Anthony's office to understand why, but no one answered. I left a voicemail and sent an email, but never got a response. - When getting quoted for homeowners insurance, I wasn't comfortable with the insured value of the house. Maybe I like to be conservative and would prefer to be over-insured, but I thought it was shady that they were saying I would be covered and not to worry if it wasn't enough. Verbal promises come up empty too often in times of need. - I emailed them to swap out a vehicle soon after initiating the policy. They never did it, so I had to call the corporate office to change it. If I didn't pay attention I might not have been covered. - I submitted another vehicle change (online this time) last month after purchasing a new vehicle. I just checked my account one month later and it was never processed. I called the corporate office, so I wouldn't risk not being insured and they had no idea why the Anthony's office didn't process the change. - the reason for the 2nd star - it's still State Farm which is a good company. The agents I talk with at the corporate office are very helpful and friendly. After the most recent issue, I requested to be moved to a new State Farm office. You don't need to do much as my insurance agent, but you need to be reliable on the occasion I might need you.
