While I have to say the staff is very nice, I would advise against buying anything of any real value from this jeweler. He does not stand behind it. My husband purchased a bracelet that broke 3 times and was repaired 3 times, all within a few days of wearing it. He reluctantly gave me a store credit and emailed me a few options of "equal value". While the new bracelet was clearly much sturdier and did not break, It became clear I was traded for junk. I have NEVER had a piece of "14k gold" rust. The piece of junk rusted and I paid over 3500.00 for it. Upon sending it back, we were told it was just the clasp and he would put another one on, but it will be the exact same type of clasp. I was told just "not to shower or anything" with it on. This is why I buy REAL gold, so I can get it wet without ruining it. I have several pieces of 14k jewelry that I have had much longer with similar clasps and I swim, bathe and even sweat with them on and they have NEVER rusted. He refuses to give us our money back, even though he could polish it up, put another crappy clasp on it and sell it to another trusting customer. I really like to but jewelry from local jewelers when I travel as it's a beautiful memory for me. But this is one I suggest you skip, unless your going to just purchase some Pandora. read more

Like most places in Stillwater, the staff at Leonard Jewelry is friendly and sociable. However, also like most places in Stillwater, the staff simply don't know how to do their jobs correctly. I took a nice watch of mine in there to have the band replaced. The guy helping me (who, again, was very friendly) took the watch in the back. Over half an hour later, he comes back, but the band is on upside-down. He says the band is "confusing" to him, and tries again. Finally, after over an hour in total waiting time, he gets it put on correctly. When I take my watch home, I find that there are many, many scratches on the back as the result of his incompetence (the strap had never been changed before, so I'm sure these came from his shoddy work). Bottom line: If you know what you want and how much it should cost, and Leonard Jewelry has that very item, I'm sure they'd be fine to deal with. However, if you need any of the care or attention to detail usually associated with jewelers, I'd go somewhere else. UPDATE: I recently changed the band of the same watch myself, using a $5 tool I got from Amazon. It was extremely easy, and I didn't scratch any part of the watch (and I did it in literally 1/10 the time the guy took). The fact that such an incompetent person is allowed to work for Leonard Jewelry really shows that they don't care about their customers, or their customers' possessions. read more

This is a great small town jewelry store. They have a good selection of nice jewelry, the staff is friendly, and their prices reasonable. If they don't have exactly what you want, they are willing to go the extra mile and order for you. They will engrave items for you, and do a nice job of it. read more
