Allstate the worst! Jewell Lucas the worst! They referred body shop for claim. My radio,…read moreheadlights, etc stolen! The shop committed fraud not installing authentic parts, 3-5 day job took 2-3 months. Twice (so far) went to another body shop to fix their errors while previous body shop paid repairs and courtesy car. Jewell Lucas told me I should "be happy they provided a courtesy car better than my own car..." Every 6 months there was $100 increase to policy. Had them for 2 years that's extra $400 more a year if you do the math! Allstate fabricated "the State" raised it every 6 months. Switched insurance company paying half w/ same coverage! Advised by new company that Allstate lied about state increase, never existed. They always call for life insurance. I always decline. Once a rep put Jewell Lucas on line. He said "Hello..." then hung up abruptly when heard it was me. Didn't even ask for him. Can picture him hiding under desk when I was on phone...lol. What a joke! I wouldn't choose their insurance company if they were free!

But after not being informed that they do not cover the rental insurance on the rental vehicle or provide insurance for the rental vehicle it simply is just not worth it. I informed the customer service lady that I talk to that I didn't really want to do a rental because I could borrow someone's car and it would be fine. But she assured me that GEICO would cover it and it turns out they lie. I was not informed that they do not cover insurance after calling three times before I picked up my rental car asking if there was anything that I needed to know or do.

I called American Collectors and spoke to a very friendly underwriter, David Barris. He was really helpful (though for some reason their system wasn't working and he could not see my driving history). I have Geico right now for my daily driver and kept calling (3 times) to have my driving history sent and they kept not sending it. I explained my failed efforts and he said he would try to give them a call himself. It must have worked because I am insured now. I needed insurance in a couple days and they were able to get it to me very quickly and without too much trouble. I was very happy with the representative I spoke to - he really stood out from the other collector car insurance representatives I spoke with (Hagerty, Grundy, and JC Taylor). So far, so good. I just wish the roadside assistance was better.

Third, after several back and forth emails with different reps, they still denied my vehicle after asking me for the same information I already entered into their system. I ended up going with a different company and it was hassle free compared to American Collectors.
