I was hit by my car by Gaico's insurance and it didn't cover my accident completely and they promised me that it would cover everything

I personally am not a GEICO policyholder, but was thinking about it because of the great experience I was having starting out with dealing with this insurance company after getting rear ended. But after not being informed that they do not cover the rental insurance on the rental vehicle or provide insurance for the rental vehicle it simply is just not worth it. I informed the customer service lady that I talk to that I didn't really want to do a rental because I could borrow someone's car and it would be fine. But she assured me that GEICO would cover it and it turns out they lie. I was not informed that they do not cover insurance after calling three times before I picked up my rental car asking if there was anything that I needed to know or do. read more

Was in an accident. Badly hurt. Not my fault. Both sides agreed not my fault. Totaled vehicle. Permanent damage and scars on leg. Insurance was good, never made a late payment...ever...they still did not pay out for $1200 in medical expenses. Wish I could give a negative star rating, they don't deserve the one star. I've been with Geico for 20 years in New Jersey raised up insurance to 240 bucks a month said because of collisions in New Jersey. I said I've never been in an accident never received tickets so I suffer for that. I left them went to State Farm they are much better. They know how to treat their customers. don't recommend Geico to anyone. They don't care about the customers and they're good for raising up the prices and charging you ridiculous prices. read more

On November 6, 2021 my husband and I were slammed from behind by a GEICO insured vehicle. There was no denying fault. We submitted the claim to GEICO rather than our own because its not our Insurance Companies fault HE HIT US. After 5 weeks of hearing nothing back and ALL their automated responses via phone and the red-tape to get through via electronic means, we ended up submitting to our insurance company to get repaired. I checked w/my insurance company last week and they STILL have not paid my carrier. RIDICULOUS! They need to spend a lot less money on their goofy ads that I once laughed at, but now get enraged! Beware of companies that tell you they are "cheaper" ... they provide you with limits that do not cover the cost of repairing a bicycle. Further, we have friends that had the same exact situation but their car was PARKED! How do you deny that??? BBB needs to make them pay! read more

I'm speaking for the company in general. This company has to be the worst and I would never recommend them to anyone. I had Geico for 12 years and they dropped me without warning due to some issues I was having with my bank at the time. As a result, I had a lapse in insurance and ended up paying a higher insurance premiums on top of a very expensive fine. After calling them about my concern to see if they would help me, they ended up sending the state "proof" that they sent me mail and an email that they were going to drop me if I didn't resolve the issue. I hadn't received anything from them. They sent the state a "receipt" that showed I opened my email on a weekday when in fact I never did since I was in work at the time and never opened my email while working. Total frauds and I have to believe the state of Nevada is in cahoots with each other to scam people out of money. Another time, my father was rear ended making a left turn into his development. He did nothing illegal but was stopped waiting to turn and was plowed into from behind at 45 miles per hour. The guy fled the scene but was later caught. After filing a police report and Geico assessed the damage, they deemed his vehicle as totaled and only wanted to give him $1,000 for a vehicle that had $3,000 worth of repairs. Geico only cares about themselves and to line their greedy pockets. They refuse to look out for the best interests of their customers. Geico will never again get my business and I continue to tell friends and family to avoid them at all costs! read more

Zero rating! Geico auto insurance should be ashamed of themselves. Not helping or guiding a 81 year old Women with her auto insurance selections and options and not advising her that she does not have collision coverage is not right. I know it's our responsibility to pick the options you want but sometimes people Don't understand their options. I would depend on the selling agent or company to guide you thru your selection options and tell you if you didn't select full coverage Or basic coverage or underinsured, etc. Geico is not a customer friendly company and is just Another conglomerate ready to take your money and not cover your claim. Before you consider buying the cute Gecko bull...., consider this: I had a MVA 4/3/19 in which the vehicle causing the accident was ticketed. I have 12 herniated discs and had a fractured sternum. GEICO cut me off from PT and is now refusing to cover steroid injections for severe pain, headaches and dizziness. Because of these medical issues I had a fall at home because I rose from sitting and got dizzy and fell. Two of my cervical discs press on my spine. GEICO is alleging my fall created the need for the injections and claiming I had a gap in care from 10/11-1/14/20- even though I paid privately for PT after they cut me off and never missed a physician's appointment. If you think they will cover your medical needs if you insure-think again. I have 250k PIP and though it hasn't been depleted they keep refusing to pay for care. Federal complaint pending. read more

You know, I've had other insurance companies, this one; the service sets them apart. The 800 #, can reach some one at any given time 24hours, I can tweak my account on-line, its great!! You can combine your insurance, with home, etc... All the times I've called service rep, I actually get some one from U.S.. What a great notion...Imagine that!!?? Geico and State Farm Insurance companies are the worst. We had a car accident on Aug. 10th and the person who hit us was high. We are out a lot of money because the guy who hit us doesn't have enough insurance to cover the bills. We have uninsured insurance coverage but it doesn't apply because this guy has insurance, just not enough. It is so unfair that we are being punished and we are the ones with the adequate coverage. Beware, THE COMPANY IS A FRAUD!! I got a ticket last year for a minor violation which should have been points on my license. I called Geico to see if that would affect my premium. I spoke to 2 different agents and asked if I paid extra and did traffic school to eliminate the points would help my premium to not go up. They both said it would not affect my premium. I did go ahead and pay 3x the amount of my ticket just in case to not get the points (NJ MVC removed the points). When my policy was up for renewal they increased my rate by $300 a year for the next 3 years. I called and they said even if I didn't get points on my license (which I have a completely clear driving record) they have THEIR OWN POINT SYSTEM. None of the agents ever mentioned that. The company is looking for any excuse to increase your rate. The owner of the company Warren Buffett goes on TV talking about how he wants to help the middle class but then his insurance company takes advantage of people. read more
