Waitress was nice, service was quick and the food was good. You get a good size portion for your money. They also make their own pies there.

In one word: delicious!…read more I can't say much about the service and ambiance, but I am sure since a good friend got them as a gift then they must be top tier. The donuts I received were fresh, colorful, creative, and oh so cute. My problem with sweets is that I can never get enough of them. Since these were about half the size of a regular donut, this became a non-issue. I was able to try all the flavors to my heart's (and stomach's) content. Every flavor was unique and special. If I had to pick though, it would be the raspberry jelly filled donut. A bold classic. Simply perfect. Thank you friend and DoughNats for making my weekend extra special!

I can see why people are saying these donuts are expensive for their size. There are display donuts on the counter but the ones you get are tucked in a drawer under the counter. I was greeted upon walking up to the counter and the clerk walked me through the options. You can only order donuts by the half dozen or dozen. You also cannot mix and match the regular, the vegan, or the triple threat (vegan, gluten-free, baked) options. I bought 6 vegan ones for my friend and tried the triple threat for myself. They release different donut flavor creations each season which is a nifty concept. There's a jar of plain donut holes for sampling at the cash. From what I tasted, it was soft, lightly fried and only slightly sweet. My friend thought the vegan donuts were tasty and super cute to look at. As for the triple threat donuts, they're actually more like cake. You can't tell that they're vegan and GF actually so that's good. They have tiny cookies available by the dozen, also available as regular or VGF. They can be purchased frozen and baked at home. 5 stars for taste, maybe minutes 1 star for such a tiny size lol.

We stopped in on a Saturday and it was definitely busy lots of people studying, chatting, and enjoying donuts, which honestly just adds to the vibe. We were picking up a box for a friend's event, and of course I couldn't resist grabbing a few for myself too. The space is still just as cozy and charming. I love the mismatched furniture it gives the café such an authentic, relaxed, slightly hipster feel, like you could sit there for hours. It was also decorated really sweetly for Christmas, which made it feel extra warm and inviting. As for the donuts... there's so much variety. We tried a mix of flavors including passion fruit, Boston cream, cheesecake, tiramisu, framboise, and a caramel butter one all fresh, soft, and generously filled. It's honestly hard to choose because everything looks good. Pricing is also great for sharing or events: * 6 donuts for $20 * 12 donuts for $36 Perfect for bringing to a gathering or treating yourself to a little variety. Still a great spot years later cozy atmosphere, fun flavors, and a place that feels just as welcoming whether you're grabbing a box to go or staying awhile.

And $4 CAD is what I would expect to pay for a specialty donut like this. There are plenty of places to sit inside and out. They also had coffee and food selections although we did not partake in them.

I had great expectations because of reviews and I hate to leave a negative review on popular places. The cashier/server was friendly, and the place has a classic small American café vibe, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the food really missed the mark for me. The "crispy cheese" just tasted burnt rather than crispy, and there were way too many greens--cilantro and parsley--which completely overpowered the sandwich. I also didn't care for the sauces at all. Overall, it wasn't a good sandwich. I didn't even finish it and ended up going somewhere else to eat. Between the long wait and the disappointing food, I don't think I'd come back.

The menu is a little chaotic and hard to read, but I did my research beforehand and knew I probably wanted the brakefast sandwich. Luckily Nate ordered the special number 8 and my friend got the basterd bing, so we all kind of shared. Everything is vegetarian! The employee taking our order was super friendly and kind, very much appreciated! We also got some coffee drinks and a donut to share. The donuts are made with biscuit dough, which was interesting and tasty. The texture is quite dense but not dry. Our food was ready quickly and the portions were large - you could definitely share something if you're not super hungry. I need to take a moment to talk about the number 8 sandwich. It BLEW MY MIND in the greatest way ever. I LOVE when I eat foods I've never had, even more so when those foods are delicious and mind-boggling. This is a breakfast sandwich on a tasty sesame bun and it features chicken fried egg. So imagine a pile of scrambled eggs that they somehow deep fry(???) and it turns into something that so closely resembles fried chicken it's wild. Seriously I'm still thinking about this sandwich. I know it sounds so weird but really you just have to try it. The brakefast sandwich was good, but VERY MESSY. Plan for lots of napkins. I will be back for the number 8.
