Leon's installed the countertops in our new home. After we accidentally chipped the surface, they repaired it for $195. At first the repair looked fine, but over time it deteriorated and now appears yellow against the white countertop. This summer we got another chip. My original thought was to go with Leon's again, so I contacted them. They provided a quote and asked if I wanted to move forward. I said yes, and then...nothing. They never followed up to schedule the work. I emailed them several times and was simply ignored. That level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. If they no longer want the job, they could at least let me know. Fortunately this turned out to be a blessing. I noticed the yellowing from their previous repair and found a far better company to fix my new chip. I will be using anyone other than Leon's going forward. I highly recommend avoiding Leon's at all costs, and suggest considering a company like CounterTech. read more

I was in dire need of getting my countertop repaired. The work was installed by Leon's Countertops but when the warranty was up, they would not come out to repair. I called on Friday morning, told them my situation and how urgent it was, only to be told that they do not work on weekends nor was I ever scheduled for a future date. I experienced a flood in my home, which damaged part of my countertop, so I contacted Leons since they are the original company that installed it. Their salesperson Nadia worked with me; everything was going well. I called, and they had my home on file and gave me a price, which I accepted and paid in full so they could come measure. When they came and measured, and it was supposed to go to fabrication, suddenly Nadia wanted 10% more after everything had been paid and was ready to go. Nadia is not a truthful person and doesn't even care that she does this to people because her response was, 'Well, then you can cancel, but it's going to cost you $250.00.' Basically, if you want an upfront honest quote, call Twin Cities Granite. They are honest with no hidden costs, unlike Nadia, who is taking advantage of people since they are already tied in. 9/9/21 I ordered a quartz countertop for My newly remodeled kitchen from Ikea. Leon's countertops is the only installer/contractor for Ikea Bloomington. If I could give them a more negative star I would. They came to my home 4 times to install countertops and backsplash, once was to inspect off center sink mounting And 3x to PRACTICE installing my countertops. I say this because they lacked the skills to install in one visit. Here begins my nightmare with LEON'S COUNTERTOPS. 10/11/21 installers arrived. Did not know how to install Ikea sink so I got 1/2 of my countertop. They broke my backsplash for the other wall behind sink. It took the office 5 days to order a new backsplash after trying to talk me into having 2 backsplash pieces glued together. When they told me it had been broken I said "reorder and call me when it's ready." Wasn't done. 10/13/21 2 other installers arrived to mount other countertop without the backsplash. They did not center sink in the cabinet. Ran countertop into 2 newly dry walled and painted walls. Cut the faucet hole in my kitchen. This created a cloud of toxic quartz dust that my dogs and I had to breathe. Dust covered my clean kitchen and living area. While cleaning up the mess I noticed the off center sink installation. 10/25/21 Manuel Leon arrives to inspect off center sink to see if it can be fixed. I show him the 3 walls where on each visit the installers had run countertop into walls scraping drywall and paint. He said that could be expected when they do an installation. No apology given. 10/29/21 Stopped at Ikea. Left voicemail and email and had a meeting with Eva Davis in Ikea countertops. She was sympathetic and emailed Darcy at Leon's Countertops. 11/2 3rd and final installation. 2 different installers. A total of 6 different installers have now entered my home for installation. Apparently using my kitchen as training. I asked the installers not to ruin my kitchen or the wall I had paid a contractor thousands of dollars to build. I said this twice. There as a FaceTime conversation with HUGO LEON. He assured me the sink could be centered. When my back is turned installers starts cutting into my newly installed wall that I asked him to not ruin. I became very angry so he gets his boss HUGO LEON on the phone again and he tells me I said they could cut into the wall. He refused to discuss that the sink not being centered was the last installers fault. I realized now that these installers spoke very little English. They covered the demolition up with the new backsplash. I did tell Mr. Leon that he would probably see me in court. I will post all photos below. **No apologies from the Leon's. They unapologetically used my kitchen as training for their untrained labor. **That was 7 weeks to get a countertop from IKEA/LEON'S COUNTERTOPS my entire total kitchen remodel took 5 weeks. I was without a sink for almost 3 months. Please to keep your sanity go to Menards or Anywhere else for your countertop. read more

8/8/2020 I recently purchased quartz countertops through IKEA mainly because they had the best price. I spent weeks researching companies and decided to give IKEA my business - huge mistake! Once I paid IKEA they put me in touch with Leon's Countertops and things went downhill. The representative that came out from Leons was very nervous and didn't understand what I was trying to do in my kitchen (I was asking for two countertops). Obviously the representative didn't have any details from IKEA so he had no idea what I was trying to do. I called Leon's Countertops and told them I was concerned that the measurement was done incorrectly and wasn't comfortable approving the design. They told me I could work with the installers to get everything corrected. Well long story short, the countertops and my sink were installed incorrectly. This was my first time working with Leons and attempting to have new countertops. I was not familiar with the whole process especially reading measurements and drawings. I felt that they were very unprofessional and they kept trying to blame me for the issues. They place the blame on the customer and don't take any responsibility for their errors. I had to call them several times to get updates because there was no communication from them - it's hard having your kitchen ripped apart and not getting any information. I did finish my kitchen renovation and I'm going to live with the issues but I would recommend staying away from Leon's if you want your kitchen countertop install done correctly. Leons Countertops is a good fabricator of counters. They did a great job cutting and installing a large difficult counter area and island. The installers were polite and pleasant and did a great job. Where they fell down hard is customer service and their sales rep. We had trouble from the get-go. We selected a slab from a place they recommended and purchased it. When we saw the photo of the layout it was not our slab. Still not sure where the mix up happened but the rep was combative about it telling us we were wrong. It was the same type of stone but a much substandard one. When we showed photos and proved it was the wrong slab there was no remorse about any of the problem. We had to totally start over and use a different vendor and a totally different stone company. The new counter was installed and we had to get them back to seal it. What a fiasco. The sealer didn't work and we were getting grease stains on our new exotic counter. The sales person said I should have gotten information with the purchase and I said she was the only person who did the purchase so it should have come from her. Nothing. We set up another appointemnt to have them come reseal and I took the day off and waited and waited. She forgot to tell anyone so it took me calling to find out they didn't have me on the schedule. They did arrive eventually 4 1/2 hours later. They applied several coats of sealer and we still had staining. They suggested a better sealer might work better and they would get back to me. When I inquired again they told me they gave me industry standards and blew me off. In desperation I found another stone company to come look at the counters. He told me how to get the stains out and started the procedure. I also learned that highly porous stone needs a non water based sealer to work. The sealer they used was a marginal water based sealer. The water molecules are too large to penetrate properly. I could have had 100 coats and it wouldn't have worked. I put my faith in Leon's to know what they were doing and do it properly, not to have some woman with a snarky attitude and a rude disposition to blow me off. Luckily I have a resolution. So we did get a good install but the rest of our experience with Leon's was pathetic. read more

We bought kitchen cabinets from Ikea , Bloomington Mn. and countertops as well. Leon's countertops was the contractor. They called at least 4 times to schedule the appt. to laser measure the counters. We bought the cabinets and countertops in Feb. as we were suppose to go on vacation the end of Mar. We picked Apr 3rd for the install of cabinets and Apr. 9th for the lazer measuring. I told everyone at Ikea and Leon's that I have a spinal disability and food allergies. We were told that as soon as the contract with Leon's was signed the order would be placed. I called on Mon. to see when the install would be and was told they hadn't placed the order because they were waiting for us to call Ikea and pay for the back splash that we added to the order. After several minutes of finger pointing as to who was wrong-we were told that she had sent an e-mail on how to contact Ikea which we never received, said it could have gone to spam but how were we to have known that without a phone call to make sure we were aware of it?- Mon May 4th she called Ikea when asked what she was going to do about this problem. I again told her about my back and food issues and that I couldn't continue to carry water for dish washing. I was told today by her that it will take another 2 to 3 weeks before our counters are ready. Saw my orthopedic Dr. this morning as the pain is terrible. Received a shot of cortisone on each side of my spine and I am on steroids for 5 days. Can't understand why she didn't call Ikea 3 weeks ago as she did yesterday for us. I was not the most polite person manly because she pointed the finger at us for being wrong. A simple phone call or e-mail to Ikea could have had our order on time. If they really wanted to work with us they could put a rush on our order. read more

This is the worst place ever. They have no idea what they are doing and when you question them about it they finger point and blame the customer. They installed ountertops for my friend and made one edge square and the other edge rounded. One counter top was supposed to be 66" x 15" and they made it 64"x 13.5"!! When my friend called the manager (Melissa) about the incompetent employee who came to measure and the fact that she paid for a larger counter top and ended up with a smaller one, Melissa's excuse was she was looking over his shoulder too much and made him nervous? Isn't it the home owners right to do this especially when the employee appears to be incompetent!! When they lost her countertops they told her she had to find them. My friend had to call Canada herself to find out where they were. When the under mount sink was supposed to be placed under the countertops, apparently this was confusing to them so they took it out and dropped it in after the counter top was installed. When she called about this issue Melissa the manager again pointed fingers at the customer. Melissa then stopped calling back all together. When my friend put in a complaint to Ikea, Melissa bad mouthed my friend telling Ikea she was bother some and called them 3 times a day..Yes she did because they did not return the phone calls. My friend is devastated. She had to get a second job to buy the countertops. Leon's treated her with disrespect and ignorance. Do not do business with this company. They don't care about home owners once the bill is paid. Their employees are incompetent and Melissa the manager needs to take classes in customer service. read more

Excellent! Hugo came on a Saturday (per my request) to install my countertop from a Home Depot kitchen project. He was right on time as expected, very polite and did the job as promised. My countertops look beautiful and it only took him less than 2 hours to complete. Thank you so much for doing a great job and coming on a Saturday to complete the job. read more
