This leaked behind our fridge and into our wood floors for weeks before the water level was high enough to puddle. We had a specific wood type that we were hoping to replicate. Thankfully Unique Wood Floors carried that same wood type. After my initial call, their project manager Jim contacted us to schedule a visit. We had our estimate less than a day after our visit. We stopped by their showroom in St. Paul and spoke with Michael who helped us view the flooring we were interested in. We placed our order for our flooring. Within a few weeks we were contacted for our installation. Our installer was named Al. More like super Al! Al tore out our old flooring which looked to be a very tough job. He then installed our new floor. As Al was wrapping up, first he swept the floor, then he was back down on his hand and knees with a towel wiping our floor clean. Wow. Talk about commitment. We were also impressed that Jim stopped out to check on the progress, then again after the install was completed to make sure everything looked good. Not only did it look good, we felt it looked great! I have to admit, I am very particular about how things look and our floor really looks great. I love how it looks and how it flows seamlessly from the Living Room/Dining Room space to the Kitchen and even in to the small bathroom. I have been walking on the floors barefoot since they were installed. The installer did a good job on the thresholds. Both the kind that lead to an outside door and the difference in the color of the plank into the bathroom space. The Owner Tina was great to work with. I will work with Seestedt's again when I update my stairs and upper level of my home. I see my hometown is listed as someplace in California. Not true, Saint Paul Minnesota suburb.

Until you are looking for a destination, you may not realize how close or where it is. Working in St Paul we have easily driven past Seestedt's a few hundred times going to work or Saints games. Anyhow we are considering remodeling our bathroom and based on my Yelpsearch, Seestedt's had some very solid reviews. Being that they are local and family owned are other key factors that we support. I had already done some research on their website to see what they had in stock. When we arrived we were greeted by Garrett and Clare. Garrett showed us to the area where they had their vinyl plank flooring. Seestedt's has carpet, vinyl plank and wood flooring and more. Garrett was very helpful answering our questions and explaining the benefits and different types of flooring we were looking for. We also learned that Seestedt's is in a historical building as we were shown the cut room where they used to cut the carpet decades ago. We were able to get a better idea of the colors we would like as this trip was more of information and check out the styles before we make our purchase. Seested's is also in the process of moving to a new location off of 94 and I believe White Bear Ave. They should be in their new location sometime between the end of this year or early 2019. AMAZING Service & Product!!!…read more We used CBL carpets to install carpet at a house that we were getting ready to sell. I was looking for inexpensive carpet to be installed quickly and had been to both Home Depot and Lowes. I was SO frustrated by the lack of knowledge of the store employees and stressed about having to make an appointment with a 3rd party, potentially get an asbestos test and not fully knowing WHEN everything would be completed. I mentioned my situation while at a luncheon and 2 separate neighbors suggested I call CBL. Boy am I glad I did!! Not only did CBL have a much better quality and color selection of quick install carpet but Frank, one of the owners, came out to measure and provided a quote. The quote was very similar in price to the big box stores. Carpets were installed by a super detail oriented team within 5 days of my original call. Everything was perfect! Then the rains and warmer weather came and the basement flooded 3 days after our carpet was installed. Frank and his team went way beyond anything I could have imagined and offered to come and pick up the carpet and bring it to their warehouse to dry out. The team is now ready to reinstall when we are sure basement is dry. I will forever be a CBL customer and will continue to share my awesome experience with anyone who will hear me. They are very professional and knowledgable about flooring. I made at least 5 trips into the store for color selection and sample check outs. They came out to my home to help me finalize my selections. They even offered help with wall colors too. I think the pricing is fair comparing CBL to the larger big box stores. The main difference is that this is a family owned business and it is clear that their customers come first. I would not hesitate to use them again. I am now in the process of looking at their selections of blinds from Hunter Douglas. I highly recommend this company.

Very poor support during hardwood refinishing process…read more Initial refinishing was done with us out of town with no prior consultation on stain color and not even a mention of what finish we wanted (oil was selected for us without asking). They were gracious enough to redo but second experience was just as bad. I expressed a lot of concerns with making sure we were confident on stain and finish before proceeding. Leading up to redo I was told I had white oak floors (which was incorrect and misled our decision making) and had a in person consultation appointment essentially deemed a waste of time by Phil and cancelled. When it came time to redo floors, I received a call from Phil the night of sanding that demanded I make a decision on stain/finish choice right away so they could move on to another job, despite not all stain/finish options having even been applied yet (they forgot to bring water based options). The next day more samples were put down but I had little time to decide, or see how they looked in different lighting conditions which was an explicit request I had prior to the rework being done. I was also mistakenly told that the floor look I was trying to achieve (my previous floors before all of this) was an oil based finish which I later found out was water based instead. Now after sanding my floors twice I'm stuck with a look that is even worse than before and not what I was trying to achieve. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a company and the lack of support during the entire refinishing process, especially by the owner Phil during the remedy process, is something I hope nobody else has to go through. I wish I would've went with another company, even if meant paying for the work twice, if it allowed for better support and more time to decide on stain and finish.

The LVP installation was done on 8/21/17, issues found afterwards and reported. Finally I got an appointment today (9/15) with THE contractor/representative (name left out for now) to meet and discuss, however he claimed that nothing was wrong. He foot-pressed on the pop-out-plunk and called it good. Here are a few pictures to show the condition after they "finished" the project. No transition pieces, gaps everywhere, carpet threads on trim, dirt and dust everywhere, popped-out plunks, etc...which left me in tears when I stepped in the first time after the project. Help
