Great selection, great service, great prices. Best neighborhood, liquor store I have ever found.

Over the last 10 years the Chicago craft brew scene has blown up. There are over 200 Chicagoland breweries now and it feels like Leo's carries them all! Ok maybe not all of them but a whole lot of them! Whatever your liquor needs are, Leo's has you covered. Not only is it great for craft beer but they carry all sorts of spirits and wine as well. All at a great price! Need a keg for a party? Leo's has them too. The store itself is very clean and well lit. But the staff, especially the owner, is really what sets this gem apart; very knowledgeable and friendly! Definitely worth the ride from the city. Will definitely be stopping by again. read more

Went there yesterday and old man cashier was very aggressive and condescending. Was willing to help at first with choosing from the wine selection, but later became very authoritative saying my wine choices were not good at all and I didn't have good taste. read more

This store has the biggest variety to choose from. They compare to the big boys. I would rather shop at a local family owned business. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. This is the only place to go for your needs in the area. read more

"Holy Expletive Expletive Expletive it's Cold Out There!" Those were (roughly) my last words before I decided that I'd rather pay nearly $50 for a bottle of St. Germain here than make another stop at Binny's and be forced to get out of my car for their cheaper $40 price tag. I'm wavering on my rating because the gentlemen at the front were nice as could be and practically jumped to service me with my booze request so I can totes see giving this place 4, hell- maybe even 5 stars for that, but then I think of that pricey St. Germ and want to settle it at a 3. Just a little too rich for my blood. I'd go back again for the service and to check out some of their prices on beer since that's usually my pick for poison but if you're looking for something semi-specialty at a decent price, keep looking. read more

Hello little liquor store with the awesome beer selection and prices comparable or better than Binny's! Where have you been all my life? We stopped in to pick up some adult beverages on a way to a friend's house, who had motioned to us a specific beer that they sold in kegs here (Small Town Brewery Not Your Father's Root Beer - boozy root beer, try it!). We strolled around the beer section and looked over their excellent selection of beers. Quite often these smaller stores have a good selection, but have prices that are several dollars more than the bigger stores. Leo's however is not one of those stores. They had the Abita pecan on sale for $4.99 for a sixer, $8.99 regularly. Other items that I compared prices on were comparable or in at least one case, cheaper. The owner is helpful and was sampling the "root beer" that day. This place is not terribly far from my office, and I like to support the smaller stores, so I think we'll be stopping by here on our way home now and then. read more

If you want a friendly local store with an inventory that could go toe to toe with Giants like Binnys, Leo's is your place. Great selection, kegs in stock, and phenomenal staff. The staff here really is the best. Friendly, knowledge, approachable, and best of all genuine. read more

Updating review but not changing my 5 star rating. We've lived down the road from Leo's for almost 6 years now and they've watched our daughters grow up to the point where they ask to go to "the beer store" so they can get lollipops and say hi to their "friend" Tarik (owner). Every single person who works there is friendly, helpful and treats you so well. Other small businesses should really be taking notes on how this establishment treats their customers because they have it mastered. This place is more than just your average beer/liquor store. I don't even drink but still like to pop in to say hi with the girls. :) read more

Great customer service! Leo knows his stuff. I went looking for something unique and left with a new favorite place for beer and scotch. With the large warehouse places you get quantity, but quality of service gets lost. Not here. Awesome store! I was in search of a seasonal beer as a gift. Came across this store online and gave them a call. Both Leo and Sam are a pleasure to speak with. Leo went above and beyond, promptly pulling the beer off the shelf and packaging each bottle of beer separately for secure shipping. During this busy season, he took the time to personally ship the package,keeping me informed every step of the way, These guys are great! It's hard to find this kind of customer service. Maybe it was an off-night for them. Our pool club ordered a keg and some box-o-wines for a summer party. They gave the person sent to pick up the order the wrong keg beer and none of the wine. Someone had to go back and get the wine. The keg was opened up before the discovery that it was wrong, so we kept that. Oh, and one of the taps they provided was inoperable. All these good reviews are surprising because it sure looked like amateur hour at Leo's. read more

Close to my house, great selection (especially the beer) and the guys there are very friendly and helpful. If they by chance don't have what you are looking for, they'll see if they can get it. I had been looking for some ale I had in Scotland and had checked everywhere but couldnt get it. Guys at Leo's contacted their distributor and turns out the mfg had stopped exporting this particular brand to the U.S. If Leo's guys hadn't checked, I'd still be looking for it. Avoid going here if you're under 25 and unless you enjoy having your id bent and triple scanned. Happens every time to me and all my friends as well and I don't even look close to underage. Average selection and overpriced as well. read more

This is my husband's new go-to place. We have a bar in our basement and he loves their selection on kegs for the kegerator. I also gave him 3 different options for a particular kind of beer I was looking for and they did have 1 of the 3. He no longer goes to Binny's, he goes here. He states the employees are knowledgeable and insist on helping you out to the car with large purchases. We were a little leery of this place initially just given it's location, but it's truly a hidden gem. read more

owner and staff are super friendly. within a few seconds of looking two gentlemen asked if i needed any help. one quirky and kind gentlemen helped me find exactly what i was looking for and wasn't pushy. as someone who gets anxious quickly, i appreciated him not being pushy. overall staff is extremely cheerful, for a liquor store it has a really uplifting atmosphere. read more
