Wow! If you are at least halfway serious about your beer, wine, and liquors you need to check this place out. I visited this family owned place on the recommendation of a friend. I was looking for an alternative to what has become the big box of beer/wine/liquor stores and I found one. Though low-key on the exterior, you walk into a richly, well and diversely stocked store several cuts above you ordinary local "liquor" store, with the range of stock of the big box but with a more personalized feel. The store is maybe a sixth the size of the big box but packs at least equal and maybe even better quality of selection including bar ware and other accessories. Sure, you may pay a few cents more, and in many instances I compared, a few cents difference is literally the case but the overall quality is worth it. I snagged a couple of very good deals--better than you would ever see at big box. They even have a cool little event area in back for different events. Check this place out. Oh, and check this out for a really "cool" and plugged-into-their-customers-amenity: A cold water bath to cool your stuff while you do more shopping (Should have gotten a pic). Very nice! read more

Delivery of the liquor was seamless, as was the pickup of unopened bottles. If you order too much, anything not opened gets refunded. I hate to post negative reviews, but this was too bad not to mention. I ordered beer and wine for my wedding in November from Prestige. My fiance and I had picked out certain wines that we wanted to serve to our guests. Prestige was very good at following up with us and attempting to order all the wines we requested and, if they were unable to order a certain bottle, they suggested a very reasonable substitute. When they were writing up the final order, I explicitly expressed my concern that the amount of wine they were ordering would not be enough for our guests. We were only serving wine and beer at the wedding, and our guests love wine. The wine expert I spoke with on the phone assured me that he had planned weddings for years and had never ran out of wines once. So, trusting his experience, I continued with his recommended numbers. Sure enough, HALFWAY INTO COCKTAIL HOUR, the head of catering informed me that we were running out of wine. Luckily my catering company was amazing and sent out a bartender to buy substitute wines, saving the day. Overall, I'm very upset that Prestige didn't increase the order when I made my doubts known, especially as it would have been more money in their pocket. No bride wants to hear that you will run out of wine when the reception has only been going for 40 minutes. read more

I had the opportunity to work with Gary and Dillon in purchasing all the alcohol for my recent wedding. Both were very methodical, taking time (Gary with liquor and beer, and Dillon with wine) to go through the aisles with us and provide suggestions to get the best bang for our buck. They are happy to work with whatever budget you have and won't try to oversell you on anything! Our wedding was in Chicago on a Friday evening, and even then the process was smooth as butter. They delivered everything on time and picked it up at the end of the night, worry free. We received a refund check in the mail 7 days later for all the unopened, unused items. Everything was handled very professionally. All they want is to make sure you and your guests have a good time!! I could not recommend them highly enough. read more

Heard some decent things so I decided it was time to check this place out to stock up for the weekend, unfortunately the store is not what people are out there saying. 1) Masks are required in public, yet they're letting customers in without them and the employee behind the register didn't have one on. 2) Dirty, dusty bottles, beer on shelves that are years old, including IPA's. 3) The beer guy there was more interested in selling me stuff that's clearly been sitting on the shelves for ages telling me if I try them it'll blow away beer from top breweries in IL, umm they're top breweries for a reason 4) An all stout tap list for to go draft options when it's spring? Very underwhelming experience, I'll stick with the local bottle shops that stock fresh beer, don't guide customers into something they don't want, and has respect for local breweries. read more

If you are a craft beer enthusiast, then this is your place to find that hard to find brew. Dillon who runs the store does an outstanding job of updating beer menus at least twice a week. If you are even remotely interested in a particular brew he will go out of his way to order it and make sure its on his shelf at a very competitive price. I personally rather shop local here than go to Binnys. I find their prices to be rather comparable to Binnys. Aside from price, the customer service here is outstanding by all workers and they always take care of me. They host beer and wine tastings regularly as well. To be quite transparent I have never had a negative experience here and will continue to make this my craft beer destination. Great job Prestige! I stopped at Prestige Liquors to pick up a bottle of wine before meeting a friend. I purchased a bottle of peach moscato for $11, which didn't look familiar to me. I was happy to find something different. Some of the brands that I am familiar with were $2-3 more than what you would pay at Binny's, but there were several more wines at decent prices. I was grateful for the quick stop. Despite the parking lot being a little crowded with folks clinging to their 40s in paper bags, the inside tells a different story. See past the cold, concrete exterior and inside you'll find nicely displayed spirits, beer, and wine in a clean environment. The cashier was friendly too. read more

I worked with Prestige for my wedding on 11/2/19 in Chicago, at Greenhouse Loft. They made everything so easy from the start - prices were affordable and they were great to work with. They were always super responsive to questions about pricing, as well as providing thoughtful recommendations for what alcohol we should provide after we described our family's preferences. They also responded quickly when we requested changes to the contract (quantity, liquor types). There were no issues with the delivery on the day of, or the pick up the day after - and we got a reimbursement check within a week of our wedding for everything that we had not used (that was not opened). Over the last 2 years or so Prestige has really stepped up their beer game! It is a great craft brew destination that is priced fair, has a great selection and supports local breweries. At any point they have around 20 pipeworks bombers and a good selection from Only Child, Hailstorm (I just picked up a Vlad), Urban Legend and 51st Ward. Their beer guy (Dillon) really trys to get to know his regulars and they normally have some hard to find stuff up at the front counter. Great place! read more

This was my go-to liquor store back when I lived in the Westmont area.... As others have said, it's a very unpretentious place and the service was always great in my experience. They are full service and can meet your needs --- anything from a few drinks at home to a full-blown bash can be accommodated. I routinely saw keg customers in the place being well taken care of. The owner (?) himself used to work the cash register and was always very friendly... a familiar face from 1999 until I moved out of the area in 2012. read more

I recently worked with Gary and Dillon for providing the liquor for my wedding, and the process was seamless! I got married at a venue in the city, so I was unsure they would deliver that far away, but I called to ask, and they had no issues with the distance. The venue I got married at, and the caterers I worked with did not provide the liquor, but the caterers only provided the liquor license and bartenders. I know a lot of my friends generally use Binny's for their liquor because they deliver, and allow for a full refund of whatever was not used. I heard about Prestige from my venue, so I called just to inquire. Prestige not only allows for a full refund of whatever is not used, they also drop off, and pick up, at the end of your event! They also hold everything for you at their store, until you go back to settle the refund. My initial phone call with Gary was great. We set up a time to meet up, and he gave me the larger details over the phone, so there were no surprises. When I got there, he walked me through the store, I told him what I wanted, he gave me suggestions, etc etc. A few days later, Dillon sends over a proposal of the costs of each item. I made a thousand changes, but Dillon had no issue with what I needed to change up. In the end, I made a payment over the phone, gave them the contact information of my venue, caterers, day of coordinator, and that was it. Everything was too easy! After the wedding, I went back to the store, and everything that was opened was sealed and put to the side. They wrote down exactly what was not used, and I was issued a refund immediately. On the other hand, they are running a scam where they make you buy 4 other bottles off a set list before they will sell you the Pappy at an inflated price. This place has horrible customer service! I had called this place about the Pappy Vanwinkle bourbon special release which they said that they had a few bottles left of the 10-year-old. After driving for 45 minutes to get there they told me I had to buy FOUR bottles of other whiskies to have the privilidge of buying that ONE bottle of Vanwinkle! Four bottles to buy one!!! That is absolutely price gouging at its worst. Of course, when I called and asked if they had it available they never mentioned that I had to buy four other bottles to get that one bottle. NOT ONLY THAT BUT THEY WERE SELLING THE VAN WINKLE 10-YEAR-OLD FOR $100! That's twice what it costs anywhere to begin with. When I complained about it the guy just shook his head and said that's just the way we do it here. Their name is obviously an oxymoron, since they have no prestige. read more
