From the moment we entered the room we were made to feel welcome. Every person made it their business to greet us warmly. Each time I've visited I've been impressed with the pastors and the congregation. Pastor Peter presents the gospel in a way that reaches out to people rather than closing them off. He teaches the fundamentals of living this Christian life and how to show love "in action". Pastor Maria, who has an infectious smile is right by his side, sometimes dedicating children, pumping up the congregation in preparation for an event and other times teaching a junior church class. Each Sunday we have the opportunity to meet someone new as we greet each other when the children are released to their classes. Pastor Peter's sermons are relevant and topical and each week I walk out feeling I've been gifted a nugget of truth that I can meditate on and share with my "neighbor. They also don't have a regular children's ministry because when I went the children's classes were suspended for a month or two my guess for spring/summer break. I would call ahead about the children's services if that's important to you. Otherwise this small church is truly charismatic and filled with God loving people.

The…read morecrowd seemed much older, almost elderly, and I didn't notice any children during my visit so I'm not even sure if they have a children's ministry. They have two services in the morning where I attended the earliest service which seemed non-existent. There was only one person playing a guitar and even though the church was very small there must of been maybe 30 people attending. I'm not sure what to make of the place as a church but I certainly wouldn't visit again. The atmosphere was somewhat boring.

I relocated out of state and had to leave New Harvest which had been my home church for about 6 years. I love this congregation of believers. I loved them under Pastor Ralph's leadership and I love them even more under Pastor John's leadership. They are as authentic as believers can be. They aren't perfect; they are a collection of battle scarred humans reaching out to God saying please make us more like Jesus and help us to do His will. If I had a regret, I would say it was not asking for help when I needed it and not taking advantage of the strength of the sisterhood there. Still God's timing is perfect. Before I could drown in my silence, He sent spiritually gifted and mature women to gently and kindly interrupt and invade my situation, until I could accept the help and healing I needed. If you go to this church, don't stay invisible. Don't stay silent. Get involved, definitely go to the bible study! I have never experienced the love in that church/body of believers, anywhere else, and I have been a church goer for a couple of decades and many relocations. I think that so much growth can happen there because of the love that connects the followers of Jesus. Hearts still break, bones still break, loved ones still die, but they hold each other up and walk through the difficulties of life together. If you go to criticize, you'll find many things to be critical about. If you go humbly and thirstily, you will find God there.

The beloved senior pastors that have been teaching, nurturing and parenting the congregation has left the church to relocate out of state. It's sad to lose senior pastors but eventually it just becomes their time to move on as the good Lord leads them. In my 20+ years as a church goer I've seen churches make a massive decline after a major change of leadership. I'm not sure how the new senior pastor will do in his role but this church is already small in size so I'm skeptic this lovely church will survive such a major transition but heck the legend is that God is a miracle worker right? Guess we'll see but it breaks my heart that pretty much ALL the old church leaders have moved on over recent years and the old senior pastor & wife moving on recently was the final nail in the coffin for this small church. This church is in my opinion working to re-establish itself with all brand new leadership. I don't even think the elders of the church have been around too long because all the elders of yesteryear have long gone. I miss so many of those wonderful people of God!
