Excellent spot for gear, rentals, and tune-ups. Totally psyched to have a closer rental shop for snowboarding gear since I used to go to REI (Rancho Cucamonga)/Phil's (Costa Mesa). Hunter was our rep helping my family tonight. We needed snowboard boots, bindings, and board. Super chill and easy to fit our kid into the right size board and boots. The gear was in excellent condition (new)! They also have clothing and helmets but we were good on those. We rented the evening prior to our trip and dropped off the next day. Super easy drop off. Just put the gear at the register and they hand you back the rental slip copy. Protip: I highly recommend adding on the $2 rental instance in case things go sideways on the mountain with the gear. read more

Was in Redlands and my husband and I walked into this shop as the display was interesting and I could see skateboards. We were not greeted and walked by several employees. Headed past the Vans and to the boards on the wall. An employee came out of a back room said hi and walked to a coworker and started a conversation. I went through the boards trying to narrow down what I wanted, with the plan to then check out the Vans. Looked around for acknowledgement and assistance from staff. Nothing. So we left. FYI. I carry cash and was planning to spend a bit on the Alien Workshop board and another and most likely a couple pairs of Vans. Kinda disappointed but will spend my money on an establishment that provides even minimal customer service. read more

I wanted to like this place as we love supporting family owned businesses and had been recommended the shop as I was looking for a gift for my husband. My son and I walked in and started looked around. There were three attendants all gathered at the register and not a single one said anything to us. We walked around and even walked right by the register and were directly facing them but unfortunately not a single person greeted us or offered to help us. They didn't even acknowledge us or look our way. They were pretty cold and unfriendly which made me not want to purchase the skateboard we had been intending to get. Never judge a book by its cover. Customer service is everything and it is unfortunate that we were treated this way. Im so disappointed. read more

Great products, terrible customer service. Walked in wasn't greeted. Looking for a new ski clothes spending at least $500. No one helped with sizing or asked if I was doing OK no one asked me if I wanted to start a fitting room. I've been in several times to rent snowboards for my granddaughter and son, he's at work and they leave the next morning before Leroy's opens. The staff is so helpful and really patient with all my requests. I stopped in and because I had parked on the next block, the polite young man offered to carry the snowboard to my vehicle. I will start this review by saying that we own a Family Owned and Operated business. My husband and I had just finished dinner and decided to walk around downtown Redlands. Definitely a beautiful place to have a nice walk. We both noticed that the store was still open and that they actually carried a couple brands of things that we often purchase. Well needless to say after about 20 to 25 minutes of walking around the entire store and actually having eye contact with one of the employees, not one of them said one word to us. It was definitely a huge disappointment. I understand the situation first hand of not being able to get "GOOD"employees, although I almost feel like the employees here have been working here awhile. As soon as they were done, he went over the pros and cons of every boot brand and what his boss and others were riding. I came here to purchase Vans for my 3 kids. I had my kids each pick out 2 pairs to try on. The store was not busy and there were 3 employees on the floor, all of whom walked by us at least twice and completely ignored us. We stood there for at least 15 minutes. Needless to say, we walked out and took our business elsewhere. I'm so glad I didn't put down the $200 at this store and chose to spend my money elsewhere. Bought a pair of shoes for my madre on her bday and this place wouldn't let me use their bathroom. They said I had to walk to CVS for the closest public restroom to take a piss. LOL ok, pretty bad customer service. I know it's not the employees choice, and falls back on management. This made me not even want to purchase the shoes here. Lucky for them I didn't have time to drive over to the mall and get them elsewhere. But I won't be keeping this place in mind for future purchases. Staff was neither outgoing, nor rude....just moot. Prices are about $3-$5 higher on Tshirts than Zumiez etc. And it scales higher on other items. Do yourself a favor and shop CCS online for the same clothing items at half the price and usually with free shipping. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! Purchased a two pack of cute Roxy socks for my daughter. Wore the first pair and that evening noticed the seam across the toes had opened up. Returned to store. Manager Mike told me nothing he could do!! Although clearly defective, store policy is that they WILL NOT take back anything worn. REALLY? Most defects are not discovered until they are worn. Thus, last time I will be shopping there! I want to spend my money where the store goes back to manufacturers with defective items and doesn't make the customer pay for defective merchandise. read more

I've shopped Leroy's for years in an effort to stay local, however I won't be patronizing the State St. location any longer. I tried to return a shirt that had shrunk so much it was unwearable and they refused to exchange it. That is the problem with shopping local, I guess. Customer service was horrible. They have a bad exchange policy. We bought my daughter Toms for Christmas and she lost the tags when opened on Christmas morning. I had the actual receipt though and the rude manager would still not exchange the shoes for another size even though they were brand new, had a receipt and were within the 30 day exchange window.
