Anytime I have needed a repair or adjustment they are the best at getting it done faster and better than any other bike store I've dealt with. Their repair team is one of the best. I had a flat tire on my E bike, which has the big fat tires on it. They're pricing is amazing. Their work is awesome. This is a GREAT local bike store. I've been in several times, buying all sorts of pieces and parts, and their staff have been super helpful - HEAR that Amazon (I've bought tons from Amazon too, but I sure like talking to someone that actually has done what I'm trying to do)! Today I was in their shop, eating an ice cream (see my Rite Aid Thrifty review) and killing time. While minding my own business marveling their extensive E-bike selection, when I was approached by a salesman. Not only was he the non-pressure type but he was an enthusiastic cyclist. This guy was great: good approach, good knowledge, subtle yet firm for a test ride (these E-bikes are a real kick to ride) and he was fun to share riding stories. Their store hours are convenient and they have easy parking. While I don't know how many full service bike shops there are, this one may be a bit off the beaten path (BTW, I'd take the Ford St. off ramp and backtrack to miss the downtown traffic). From one DON'S to another. The afternoon started in Rialto at what I though was a pretty epic bike shop, We met the owner Scott (Don's son) and he really took his time with us helping to find just the right bike. Being in search of an E bike that day choices and inventory are still limited everywhere, It has been strike out after strike out, that is until we found Don's. Even at the smaller shop (it's not small but smaller) the inventory was great but just the right bike was a miss. Scott sent us to the Redlands store and at first sight of this massive shop I was blown away! As we entered we were instantly greeted as if they were expecting us (we were expected) Scott had called ahead and gave the store a heads up and some info on what we were looking for. I must say this bike shop is very impressive! Inventory is better then any bike shop I have ever been in and They have a ton of beautiful Giant bikes on hand as well. It was the E Bike selection that we came for and I would say they had about 60 e bikes ready to go. Just the right bike was found, upgrades and modifications ordered, and ready in about 15 minutes, then a bike tec took the bike for a safety check run. confident in the purchase away we went with what we started the afternoon looking for... just the right bike. That was a well spent hour in that amazing shop with expert and patient service. Forget everything you have been experiencing with your local bike shop and take the drive or ride to Don's. This is a great local business to support. They really tuned up my bike (which had been sitting in a garage for a year) and made it look brand new. It took about a week, but they only did what was necessary to fix it up and the price was good. The bike works great and I'm excited to ride it. Went to these guys for repair of my carbon fiber rear strut. I had locked the bike with a U-lock. Someone tried to steal it. The lock held but in apparent frustration, they yanked super hard and cracked the frame. Was super bummed as this is my primary transport and a big source of entertainment. Found Don't bicycles. Drove in from Palm Springs and they gave an estimate and said they would get it done. After a week they texted that the damage was pretty severe and in 3 places. Yikes. But they kept the price to the original estimate. It took f4our weeks (they had set expectation of 2-6 weeks), and they kept me updated along the way. The frame now is fully repaired and looks new (including paint). They also noted a worn crank shaft and back brakes and repaired these. Bike rides flawlessly now. read more

This shop has been here for a very long time. I know that many of my friends who are into bikes use their services. Until now, I didn't really ride a bike on a regular basis but now that I have kids, I wanted to get them started on some bikes with training wheels since they refused to use the balance bike. The customer service was pretty great. The salesman took his time explaining various options and the location has a lot areas around it where you can try out all the bikes and they encourage you to take then out of the shop to give them a test ride. Our kids are pretty happy with their new bikes needless to say and my wife and I will be returning to get bikes of our own soon. read more

Have you ever walked into a Bike shop and been starred at without a greeting. and then not a single person helps you when you have been coming in here for years and spending well over market price for parts. Just to support the local guys knowing damn well you're paying over Internet pricing. Sad because we actually know some of the dudes that work in there. luckily Kirk wasn't working. I have been a long time customer of dons bikes for years starting out with just replacing my vintage bike flat tires- and they always manage to have my odd size tubes --when the local bike shop in Hemet wouldn't' finally this year of 2024 decided to try a new second bike to have a backup if my old bike was out of commish!!! and even tho couldn't quite find the right fit at dons the staff was so accommodating and patient with me ---I am sold on that shop even with having to drive 25/30 miles one way ; all the way from San Jacinto also very good sports about me having to get a bike online that fit my small 5 feet frame ... any upgrades or future bike purchases it would definitely be dons over &over again ..thanks again you guys !! read more

I want to extend my sincerest thanks and appreciation to the whole team at Don's Bicycles for helping me get the bike of my dreams. I've been on the hunt for a gravel bike for the last 2 months, so when I called Don's, I was surprised to find they had the model I wanted (in my size) at a price I couldn't pass up. The sales rep let me know that another buyer was interested, so I'd need to make a decision soon. Well, when I called back it just so happened that the other prospective buyer was in the store at that moment and was looking to buy this bike. I was understanding and asked that if for some reason the sale did not transpire, to please call me back and I would place a deposit. About 10 minutes later I got a call back saying the customer did not agree to the terms of the sale and left the store, so I placed my deposit as promised. About 10 minutes later, I received another call from Don's asking if I'd consider purchasing a similar model with a heavy discount, as the other buyer CAME BACK to the store and agreed to pay what I had already offered. I expressed my appreciation to the staff for calling me and asking prior to making any further arrangements without my consent. To me, this demonstrates tactful business etiquette and professionalism. I declined the purchase of a different bike and the staff were fully understanding. I arrived today to pick up my bike and I was impressed at how helpful the staff were. They did a thorough inspection on the bike and adjusted all the components to make sure it was ride-ready when I arrived home. They even went above and beyond by installing bottle cages and a frame pump at no additional cost to me. I've been a customer of Don's since 2012, and their shops and staff never disappoint. Their bike selection is awesome, they do quality work, and the employees are just genuinely good people who have a passion for helping folks achieve their goals through cycling. Went here to just look at e-bikes for my wife and left a few hours later with a nice new Emojo BobCat Pro for her to ride. Their customer service was totally professional, friendly & patient. This place has lots of ebike selections to chose from. I purchased an different brand of e-bike a few months ago from a different dealer(they were great there also) and sure wished I went here as it is much closer to home and looks to have a good service department. Never have I dealt with a business and employees who lack common practical and fair business sense and a complete lack of ethics. I will preface this review by stating that Don's Bikes and the manager on duty could have easily rectified this situation and made a deal with a paying customer in the store (despite my negotiating and walking out for 30 seconds only to return to the store to accept their offer) but since they did not, here we are. I called Don's bikes on a Sunday to inquire as to whether they had a bike in stock. They confirmed they did and advised it was "used but in excellent condition" they agreed to put a "hold" on the bike for Monday. Due to work I was unable to drive the hour+ to the store to see a bike and instead came at my first availability the next day, Tuesday. The bike was still there and in great condition albeit priced higher than blue book value and I had previously been advised it was on the floor for 2 months without a sale. A salesman (Nate?) said his friend was interested in the bike also. I test drove the bike for about 10 minutes and returned to the store to negotiate. I was ignored for maybe 10 minutes and finally asked who was in charge to negotiate a deal. Adrian negotiated with Paul (manager) assistance and I made an aggressive offer on the condition it was not accepted I would walk. They countered very slightly higher and I walked out the door for all of 30 seconds (probably less) to put my sunglasses in my truck. I walked back into the store and stood at the front counter waiting for Adrian and Paul who had disappeared. They were relatively busy but nothing their staff couldn't handle. I walked back over to the bike and Nate and Adrian came over and Nate put a "SOLD" sign on the bike. I told him great, you sold it to me right? His response was no, I sold it to my buddy. You walked out of the store and I took a deposit from him and it's his. At this point I was thinking it was a joke. I told him no, I'm here in the store, I left for 20 or 30 seconds, was standing at the front desk and you sold it out from underneath me? He tried calling his 'friend' who he sold the bike to and his friend would not relinquish the sale. I told him I'm ready to pay you right now for our negotiated price and they wouldn't budge. They tried to up sell me to a $5000 bike when I told them I didn't drive an hour to buy that bike, I wanted the one I came here for. At this point Adrian and Nate brought over Paul and Paul quickly sided with his sales staff on the position with the defense of "well you walked out" and "we told you someone else wanted to buy it." BS. Some colorful language was exchanged and I walked out. Never before have I experienced such underhanded, unethical, slimy business tactics. These guys give used car salesmen a GREAT name and reputation. Dons Bikes had a ready and willing buyer to buy the bike from the store right there at my negotiated price and they completely leveraged my offer against another buyer via phone, unbeknownst to me and all in the span of maybe 2 minutes. As I said, here we are. I find solace in the fact that Nate's friend supposedly was willing to pay $150 more for the bike than I was and at that price he paid an $800 premium over market value. Such a great "friend". Instead of Paul, Adrian, Nate and Don's Bikes willingness to make good and not perform such shady business deals, I will now go out of my way to tell everyone about my experience. Never do business with this half rate bike shop again. From now on I'll keep my business local and with respectable and reputable shops who treat their customers fairly and ethically. read more
