Walking through down town Boise with some friends on a Saturday and the "wine bar open" sign drew us in! The bar is cute and quaint on the inside. Very inviting and just felt like it was a nice place with chill vibes. The wine tasting was only $20 for 6 wines. Such a steal and great way to try some new wines out! Our server was very knowledgeable, shared some Halloween candy which we loved and even gave us some great restaurant recommendations for after. Tried this place spontaneously one evening while waiting for a band member to play across the street at mad Norse or something like that...it is a pleasant wine bar with some nice tables to sit at in the front of house as well as some larger bar height tables in the rear.no wine list---the wine steward thinks menus "are for nerds". You sre encouraged by a very enthusiastic pitch from a very high energy fella to essentially let him tailor a choice for you based on interaction and preferences that Mr. Brilliant will glean from the two words that you might get in edgewise. I was sitting with two very dear friends,and we to be honest just wanted him to shut up. We are grown adults who want to have a conversation amongst ourselves and would have gladly chosen a wine from a wine list. It would have made everyone's evening much easier...I'm not sure but maybe our host did a little BUMP before/during service after a long weekend of Jaijaldi(Basque Celebration)?! The wine choices he made for us were fine,but he was really trying to sell wine flights as near as I could discern? This is the BEST place in Boise to try new wines. For the adventurous, every week there is a completely new menu of wines. Offered as either by the glass or a full tasting journey. The venue is unstated to allow for some time with friends. Be aware this is a tasting bar, not a restaurant. The owner is absolutely dripping in vino knowledge and is an impeccable guide into wines normally not assessable in the valley. If you find a personal gem, full bottles are available for purchase. This is an easy five stars, on the way for the forbidden 6-star realm if they were able to get a chef in-house for nibbles/snacks. read more

This is a great little wine tasting /wine bar. The owner is fabulous! He knows his wines, and with just a few questions was able to suggest a couple of great ones for me to try. I met wonderful locals sitting at the bar. And I understand that now and then the owner even plays guitar and sings some. I strongly suggest you stop in for glass of wine and plan to stay a while when ever you are in the area! It made for a wonderful last night in Boise for me. Benjamin, Owner of Les Bois is extremely knowledgeable about the wines he sells, winemaking, varietals around the globe and seems to have a good pulse on what his customers enjoy. Very outgoing, pleasant, Benjamin has excellent Customer Service and most importantly offers outstanding wines from around the world. While the Bar is very basic, it has good vibes from the people who come here to adventure into the world of wines. If Les Bois was eventually able to find a near-by restaurant to team up with for Charcuterie/Cheese Plates, Fruit/Nut Trays it would be a great way to elevate the Les Bois wine-tasting experience. We dropped by Les Bois for the first time on a "spur-of-the-moment" whim. As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted by the owner, Benjamin, who immediately made us feel welcome. We sat down at a small table for 2 and, feeling adventurous, we each decided to try the wine flight du jour. It was fun to try new wines, and I can truthfully say that they were uniformly delicious. We ended up purchasing two bottles to take home with us, which meant that one of our flights was comped. Nice! We had a lovely experience and will be back.
