What a fantastic wine shop! I discovered Hyde Park Fine Wines while searching online for a few bottles of champagne, and I was immediately impressed by the incredible selection they had available. Their inventory is thoughtfully curated, making it easy to find both well-known favorites and unique bottles. When I stopped in to pick up my order, I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, who was welcoming and genuinely appreciative of my visit. The shop itself is beautiful, and during my visit they appeared to be hosting a tasting event that looked like a wonderful gathering. Unfortunately, I was short on time and couldn't stay to enjoy the experience, but it's definitely something I'd love to return for. I'm grateful to have found such an outstanding local wine shop. WOW what a gem! I have walked past this place 1000 times and have said I wanted to go and finally did it! I don't know why I waited so long.. this place is truly the best place to grab a drink and relax if you like wine. They have BOGO happy hour all day Sunday and Monday with a great variety of options. I started with the frosé and then got the Pinot Grigio, which is perfect because you can mix and match so my total was $14. The patio was very nice and quiet with attentive service. What a spectacular Wine Bar. First of all BOGO wine is always amazing! There is a separate menu for the BOGO wine so if you are there during BOGO hours make sure to order off that menu. The outside patio is dog friendly which is another huge plus! Staff was friendly and attentive! My wine glass was never left empty before I was asked if I wanted another! You can stop in for a glass or bottle of wine or pick up bottles to take with you. Their wine club is fabulous. Three bottles every month from different areas or countries. They have a great selection and outdoor seating options for the summer time and indoor seating options for the cooler seasons. I am a super-snob of food and wine and unapologetically hard to please. I have not have any truly A+ experience in Boise... until now. I just had the most orgasmic experience here. Scott, the owner, who seems far too young to be as knowledgeable and cultured as he actually is as a sommelier was not only attentive, but he read me well and chose the absolute perfect pairings for each and every moment during my three-hour "layover". (I usually hit the gym when I drop the kids at camp but I over-exerted myself in the last few days and could barely lift my arms or walk so I decided to find a place to chill instead and I am SO glad I did.) This will be my new spot to start when I have any outing: anniversary, birthday, or even when I just need to kill some time again. The wines were all so unbelievably tasty - the best I have ever had, no joke - so much that I nursed them to the final drop, while savoring every last morsel of the modest but shockingly flavorful charcuterie board. I have tried wine and charcuterie at every place that offers them, and even though I had burnt my tongue with my morning coffee, the flavors that came though burst fantastic and complimented each other and the wines so ideally. I don't even have the words except to say it was perfect. Absolutely perfect. That's not a term I use lightly. The wines on the menu were chosen with such precision and care that it was difficult to even have a favorite. If you enjoy wine, you simply must come here. The charcuterie was carefully designed to ensure each bite and drink worked in perfect harmony. Damn, I have not been this happy with any restaurant in quite some time and this little store does not try to do more than what it does so incredibly well, and I have mad respect for that. Great selection, if a bit overpriced. Oddly kept being very attentive to patrons sitting outside drinking by the glass and not really interested in helping us at the counter when buying bottles. No longer serving food. The website has been confusing for years. Shows food choices - in 2021 they are not serving food. I've brought this up several times when calling. Nice to sit outside have a glass of wine. Not sure what happens in winter during an ongoing pandemic, since there really isn't more than a couple of chairs and it's a tight space.
