When we arrived, we signed a waiver, were given a life jacket, a glow stick, paddle and huddled outside for a briefing. An overview of the evening was given and minimal instruction was presented although few raised their hands when asked if anybody hasn't been on a kayak before. Once we got onto our kayaks, we were told to follow the instructor who was leading on a paddle board. The pace was slow and I found it frustrating as I would have preferred if we were told destination or meeting points. After a brief circle near the dock off the Esplanade de Nord park on Nuns Island, we were tied up to watch the fireworks and avoid battling the currents. A radio allowed us to listen in on the fireworks show, and a glass of red wine was offered. The show was great but I believe we were way too far to fully enjoy the show. Once over, we were untied which took a while, and headed back to the dock where we hoisted ourselves out and were asked to pull our kayaks up to the office. Overall, the evening was just okay mostly cause it was nice to have the opportunity to kayak on the Fleuve St/Laurent but I found for the price you paid, you didn't get enough time to actually paddle and the fireworks were way too far to fully enjoy.

We went there at like 7pmish which I thought it was late, but watching the sunset was just amazing. It's really relaxing, and even if you do not know kayaking its really easy to learn! The KSF guy is very helpful, and he teaches you briefly how to kayak, and tells you where to go and not go. It's for sure an awesome experience, and I would suggest to everyone! Go try it out and enjoy your view!

While the rapids were pretty intense, there were enough breaks in-between for beginners. The activity was a work-out, but not overly rigorous. You had the chance to paddle together and work together as a team, were directed by experienced staff, and had several moments where you went right into the rapids. There was also some down time for relaxing and jumping into the water. The staff was fantastic! They were friendly, provided the background and history, gave great instructions, and all had a wonderful sense of humor. They were able to explain in both French and English and really made the experience memorable. We'd highly recommend as this was the highlight of our visit.

It isn't constant rafting rapids so you get "breaks" of calm waters so you aren't overwhelmed. Great for beginners like us! You hit 4 rapids and on the fourth one you have the option to jump out of the raft. Sounds insane (or we thought so) but we did it and it was so amazing!! Something we will never forget. You also have a chance to jump out and swim after you're done rafting for a few moments, as well. You're able to rent wetsuits and crocs on site. And the guides are willing to take your photo beforehand or afterwards. The one "concerning" thing is how they wash the wetsuits after you've worn them. They simply dunk them in a bucket of water... lol.

The scenery of the canal Lachine was serene. Plus, Excellent exercise for the arms. I know I don't have upper arms muscles yet, but I do feel slight strong... lol. Definitely recommended, hop on your adventure before the summer ends.

The season passes are an excellent value for anyone living in the area. They have a an easy to use online reservation system, and staff/ownership were super responsive and friendly both by email and in person. The equipment is in great shape and my boat is in the water waiting for me at my rental time. NOTES: they DO have lockers, but you need to bring a lock.

At the plank we were greeted by Alex who welcomed us abord. We chose a window seat & felt like we were in a green house lol since it was floor to ceiling glass & the sun was smiling at us in full force. Our server, Sofiane, had a great personality & totally made the experience! He got us our bloody Mary's toute de suite & we were ready to go. The menu is a QR code access only. You have a choice of entrees but they automatically bring you a complimentary Mimosa that is very sweet & you cannot really taste the champagne, a selection of mini pastries to start, a basket of bread with your entree, and a little dessert of mini cream puffs. We ordered the smoked salmon with beets appetizer and some bloody Mary's to go with it. The salmon was excellent & the BM's were decent. This was the best part of the meal! We both got the Terroir omelette which consisted of ham, cheese and asparagus. It was served with sausage, bacon & potatoes. The omelette was a bit overcooked & dry & the entire dish was so-so. We went to the upper deck to get some fresh air & take in the view. They had a girl on a mic sharing information as we went along but the tour itself was average & not very long. It was a beautiful day but for the price & experience, we wish chosen something else to do.

The ride itself is a good way to learn about Montreal, with the tour guide speaking from a microphone on the top deck, which is shaded but open. Loudspeakers are throughout the second deck, which is enclosed in windows and reasonably air conditioned. The tour guide did our ride in both English and French. Don't expect as much of a "ride" although you do move down the river a bit, passing by La Ronde and seeing just how big the Port of Montreal actually is. But you'll start right by where the boat is normally docked, sorta "treading water" for at least half an hour because all the interesting bits of Montreal are right there. The wait staff are attentive, and do well at service given the size of the boat and the number of people. However, the drinks are somewhat watered down, at least the ice melted so fast on this hot day (36C) that it seemed that way. But they have a basic beer and wine selection, and so I'd recommend enjoying a beverage while on the tour. What I do NOT recommend is getting any food. It is very overpriced and not at all worth it. You are better off eating before or after your excursion. We ordered the $21 charcuterie board, which sounded like a good sharable spread of meats and cheeses. You actually get a small portion of some salami, prosciutto, and a minced meat of some kind, and then a small amount of 3-4 cheeses, just a slice each. The two slices of baguette must have been sliced 5-6 days ago, as they were harder than the board the food came on. The redemption of this dish was only the onion confit. The rest you could assemble a better quality spread from a gas station convenience store.
