My hand dolly has an inflatable tire that I couldn't get pumped up. Even with my compressor to fill it, I just couldn't get it to seal. Went in to get 2 snow tires on my Toyota. We sat in the lobby for 1 hour before I went up to the counter to check on the progress. They said they would go check and let me know. Another 45 min went by and the guy came out and said that the tires we ordered a week prior hadn't come in yet. I asked why it took them 1.45 hours to tell me that? The employee said he forgot to tell anyone and went on his lunch break! I was so mad. Anyway, I said I would wait the extra 30 min for them to run to the warehouse to get my ordered tires. After 45 min the employee came out to me and said they picked up the wrong set. So I had to wait another 45 min for my correct set to be put on. 3 hours and 19 min for me to get 2 snow tires on my car. Service was horrible, they didn't value my time. Didn't give me a deal or a free tire for the wait. Ridiculous. I will never be going back. read more

These guys are my heroes. I spent a lot of years living in Oregon, and these guys were always my Dad's choice when it came to tires. In the snowy climes of Bend, Oregon, one must always changeover the tires, i.e., studded tires on before the first snowfall, studded tires off before April 1. The driving is so much easier and so much safer on studs, and the long lines at Schwab's were legendary, the day of the first snowfall. Dad always called me to remind me, "studs on, its going to snow soon! " He would go over there with me at 6am to get in line for the changeover. The guys at Schwab's always seemed to know us by name, too. The service has always been a bit of a phenom to me. They actually do RUN out to greet you and seem to really come off thoroughly authentic in their aim to please, and provide great service. How I found out how WELL they serve, happened the day I got a flat in Lincoln City, Oregon. I had driven over the mountain to my fave coastal town, for a break, and awakened to a flat tire. Panic. I'm 4 hours away from MY Les Schwab guys, and my family! I opened the phone book, and gleefully found a Les Schwab in Lincoln City, called and almost cried whent they offered to send a guy over to change my tire, and follow me back to their shop, where they fixed my tire for free, and sent me on my way. NO CHARGE. These guys are amazing. Flash forward 15 years. I'm in Utah now. I'm still driving Herschel, my cranky little 17 year old car, and he keeps getting flats - like clockwork, just before I go to work in the morning! Well, who rescues me???? My heroes at Les Schwab. These guys are AMAZING. A huge thank you to my heroes at Les Schwab. They never blinked in helping me out, came over to my apt, and changed the tire, and let me follow them back to the shop, where they fixed said tire, and sent me on my way. We finally figured out the problem, and they were great with that. You can BET that all my tires and batteries are purchased at Les Schwab. The guys at this particular shop are AMAZING, PATIENT, KINDLY men, that only winked at me and smiled when they saw me regularly putt-putting into their shop, limping along. The waiting rooms are spotless, with great magazines and free popcorn, natch. But the best thing, these guys are truly, honestly focused on giving the best service you can imagine. The BEST and EASIEST tire experience! My husbands car needed all 4 tires, and it was a breeze! Long story short - today (3 days after getting new tires) I ran over a screw on the freeway and got a flat after dropping my husband off at work. Because I was worried about hurting the rim & tire, I pulled over immediately. I call Les Schwab and they were able to send someone to help me change my tire and got the new one put on for free with their AMAZING insurance! I'm SO happy we chose to get our tires here!!!! Been at the place 1/2 dozen times. Clean, and professional. But cant recommend this place. Had very good experience at bountiful location for over 20 years. Unfortunately did not translate here. I can no longer trust, what they say. One time, told me, unable to add a tire pressure sensor on snow tires. But was able to at different place. Another time, told me, my brakes needed to be replaced. But another place said i was fine. And again about 1 year later, told i needed new brakes for all 4 tires and quoted me around $1100. But at another place (dealer), said only 2 front tire brakes needed to b replaced, and charged me $250. Im not a car expert. But getting it wrong 3 times, is not a good record. My car needed an alignment, they told me that I needed an inner and outer tie rod end and possibly replace the rack and Pinion. I told him I would take it and have my mechanic look at it. When I went to pick up the vehicle I told the lady behind the counter I didn't appreciate the fact that they were assuming that I needed to replace all those things, she started arguing with me telling me but they were correct and I was wrong. I wasn't looking for an argument but she was very argumentative. I got in my car and she had gone out to speak with the mechanic and he was looking at me I told them that their customer service is very poor and that as a customer they shouldn't be arguing with me and raising their voice as I drove away he flipped me off. read more

I had a flat tire and a flat spare so my roadside assistance called a tow truck. I called ahead and spoke with David about my flat tires and he helped me find the best solution. I was hoping to get it done that day but the tow truck took way too long. We got the car to Les Schwab with eight minutes before their closing time. Amazingly, David and Juan both changed my flat tires and moved my other tires around for the best drive. It was so kind of them to help when they could've easily said it's closing time we'll have it finished tomorrow. I can't begin to describe how grateful I am! Thank you so much! Always get your tires from them. They will rotate your tires for free. I woke up on the day of my licensing exam and had a flat. I drove it to them and they fixed it in under and hour which gave me time to get to the testing center the following hour. They were great to work with. read more

Got a flat in the late afternoon, and scrambled to find the nearest shop-- I actually arrived 15 minutes after the shop closed on a Saturday night, and sort of figured I was going to be out of luck for the rest of the weekend. To my surprise, the staff acted happy to see me and invited me inside. As if that wasn't enough, they fixed my tire without charging me a penny! SNEAKY and SHADY! And I used to be a loyal customer! We have an all wheel drive car and took in to get an alignment and everything was going great till the tire tech came out to us and went through a whole sales pitch about how we needed 4 new tires. We told him we had some future engagements that wouldn't allow us to get new tires till Novemberish...then when off on a Les Shwab credit card pitch which we were not interested in applying for. We sat there for 2hrs! They finally came out and told us we had a bad patch on one of our tires and they said they would fix it for free, which we thought was really awesome! Well we took off got home and parked the car in the garage. The following morning went out and...tun tun tuuuun! We had a flat tire! The next day we took it back to Les Schwab and they told us the side wall was puncture...WHAT! HOW? We drove it straight home which was an easy 2 min drive, Straight into our garage. The next day, we went back and ended up getting the "anything could of happen" talk....BS! Because right after that here came the "but we can get you new tires on a Les Shwab credit card pitch" complete utter shadiness. Loved ya till this crap happened. Remember bad news travels faster than good news! Thats why you always take care of your customers. Not everybody has $800 to fork out for tires and not everybody wants to sign up for a Credit Card. I found a screw in my tire and went straight to this Les Schwab in Holladay. I chose them because my workplace uses a Les Schwab in Midvale. After waiting 1 1/2hrs and seeing new people coming in and being looked at I went back up to the counter. They, apparently, lost my paperwork but were able to get to me soon. The technician and/or salesperson told me I needed a new tire; however, due to the thickness level of my other tires they could only replace all 4. Financially I couldn't do it right now and wanted another opinion because there wasn't any air loss at this point. I went to the Les Schwab in Midvale that my company uses that following week. They immediately asked me to drive my car in front of one of the bays, a guy came out with soapy water, rubbed the brush around the screw, took out the screw, rubbed with soapy water again, then stated "you're good to go! No hole!"! Les Schwab Holladay tried to scam me into purchasing 4 new tires when there was NEVER a hole and my tires have many, many more miles to go. If you have to visit this location make sure to get a 2nd opinion! read more

The manager Juan is THE reason to go here. If there is ever any issue that arises, Juan will quickly and efficiently get to the bottom of it. LS always always does my tires which I have been thoroughly pleased with. A small issue arose with something else which I was actually surprised with, seeing as this was new territory for me at LS. Juan was the one who immediately handled it and sincerely cleared the air. Such a pleasure working with him! If he moves locations, you can bet I'll be following him right along! read more

I told them they could keep the truck and finish it the next morning due to me showing up later in the evening. Their "Free alignment check" is not free, they will make you pay for it. Went in for free alignment check, next thing I new they were ringing me up at register. 3 different people said they would do "alignment check for free", then call me if they found something wrong before they fixed it, well they FORGOT to call me. This is my experience the other times I have been to other locations as well (they forget to communicate back with customer). Now I am out $$$$. Then they tried to offer me future help by offering a few dollars off my next future services (what a joke). If I return I will hold them to their offer of coupons for next 3 years. They didn't even care that they had made a mistake, which is a big red flag for any company. Don't recommend in the future others going to Les Schwab. read more

This place is a rip off. I call and get a price of $65 to have 4 winter tires mounted and balanced. It is the cheapest price around so I take my car in to have 4 brand new tires mounted and balanced. When I go in I'm again quoted the same price. I've never been a customer of this business and they add me in the computer. After they get my car in and on the track they come tell me"because your tires are brand new" the price doubled. $122 when I was quoted twice $65 for the same job. I don't get a logical reason except that when they are last year's tires we give you a discount. They knew I hadn't been here before, that I wasn't a repeat customer and after this experience isurely won't be a customer again. What a joke! read more

After some back and forth, we ended up leaving them on and getting a deep discount on the service. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Horrible customer service both at the front desk and the service department. Needed an oil change/tire rotation/brakes checked, expected to wait so I brought my laptop to work, no problem. I wanted to know if they were backed up and if my car would be seen at/around my appt. time (b/c it does happen every now and then, which is fine and totally understandable). Simple question asked b/c I was trying to coordinate plans with someone after the oil change. The girl (heavyset, bad acne) at the front desk gave me major attitude despite the fact that I made it clear that I was okay w/waiting, I just needed to know if they were running on schedule. Then when my car was seen, there was an issue w/the oil filler neck and I asked the guy to show me what he was talking about so I'd know what I'd be needing to replace. This was treated as a major inconvenience and this guy (kinda pudgy, dark haired mullet) gives me even more attitude. Rude staff, horrible service, never going back to LS again. Didn't catch their names but it really doesn't matter, this was my 3rd experience w/LS and had I not already bought my tires here, I wouldn't have returned (they do a free rotation, only reason I went back). Do yourself and avoid LS altogether, but especially this location. So many other better options in Salt Lake. And I included descriptions of these two employees not to be mean, but so that hopefully someone at LS reads this and knows who I'm talking about. read more

They allowed us to spend night in the parking lot, and were able to fix us up the next day and get us on the road to home. We were returning from father in laws funeral, and we were drained. Tonight I somehow punctured my tire, I arrived at Les Scwab two hours after closing time. Expecting to leave the car and retrieve it tomorrow, I was greeted by an employee, Victor, who requested I pull my car into an available bay to be fixed the next morning. After gathering my things, Victor to my surprise said, if you can stick around for a bit, I'll fix your tire now. I was beyond impressed at the service and kindness 2 hours after closing time. Very helpful staff. Very quick and efficient. The only reason that I didn't give them 5 stars is becuase luckily I called in the morning price comparing and they quoted me a reasonable rate on snow tires, when i called later in the day the woman quoted me about $150 more than the gentleman I spoke with earlier in the day. When I asked her about this she put me on hold for a minute and then came back on and said they could do it for the initial price I was qouted. So I would always call and price check with these guys and also price check at different locations to make sure you get the "morning" quote price and not the "afternoon" quote price. Would definitely use these guys again and would definitely recommend them based on great customer service. read more

I am still looking for a tire center that is competent and cares. That may be the same thing. This store is not it. They rush right out to greet your car but that is where the competent service ends. Took me five separate trips to the store to get a wheel fixed and the job is not quite yet done. Since they had to keep the car overnight a couple of times could they at least do an oil change?
