Called and got a quote for 2 tires to be replaced. $35 per tire not including tax and disposal. $35 is a very fair price so I agreed. I drove over and they brought by car into the bay. For some reason the tech thought it was a good idea to jack up my entire rear of my car from the engine only and hold it there for the duration of the tire change. There are clearly rear jacking points on the car. Mentioned it to the front desk and was told that's not normally what they do and they would inform the technician not to do that in the future. Still charged full price. Leaving this review for a paper trail in case there are leaks. TLDR: pricing for tire change was fair. Update: I have contacted Big O's Corporate office to file a complaint. My sister filed a witness statement with the police and we have contact information for the victim of the assault so so she can give a statement for him in court. She has photo evidence of the oil spewing out. The owners are Sean and Tony. Tony is the owner who assaulted the customer and my sister got caught in the crossfire. I will NOT let this go without Big O knowing who is representing their brand. Sean, I think people can make their own judgement based off your other horrible reviews. It seems many people (women specifically) have encountered your attitude and hot headed nature. The reviews show that you and your brother deny anything being fault of your store. If I could give zero stars I would. Buckle up friends, this is a WILD ride. This place is an absolute joke. My sister took her car in for a small oil leak. She was told it was going to take about 4 hours to fix, so my husband (her brother) went to pick her up. She brought my nephew out to the truck, so she could grab some things out of her car and give the shop her keys. As she went back in to the shop, The owner had a CUSTOMER pinned by his neck on the ground and kicked him in the stomach. (He also told the customer he had "F@ggy" shoes. Clearly a bigoted remark.) My sister was thrown back by the man slamming into the door so hard she fell onto a parked car in the front and bent her wrist back (she has bruises to show for it). The police came and she and my husband filled out witness statements. At this point they left. (This should have been when we took the car to go somewhere else) Now back to the car. She got a call claiming they had fixed the problem, we took her back to pick it up and they sent her on her way. She drove to my home and when she was leaving we realized my driveway was COVERED in oil. She called them first thing Monday and they told her to bring it back down the next day, so she did and no one was there to fix it. At this point she's having to put a quart in just to drive and for it to leak right back out. They had someone from the shop drive her home and she showed the man all of the oil that had leaked. The next morning she gets a call that the oil pan is cracked and it's going to cost even MORE to fix. Mind you they had already charged her for the first repair. They fixed the pan and I went with her to pick it up. At this point they are taking advantage of her because she is young and is a female. I get to the shop and the tell her it's an extra $200+ dollars and the technician SAYS we probably cracked it when we tightened the bolts from the original repair. Okay, how is this her problem? So I ask he call the owner (I should have specified to call the one who ASSAULTED HER indirectly AND the other customer) this guy was so rude. I was so upset for her at this point I said "we're not paying" and I grabbed the keys. So he called the police. After all of this, the officer recommended that we file a small claims suit and contact corporate (which I will be doing today) to let them know how these franchise owners are representing their brand. The moral of the story is, I have NEVER experienced such an unprofessional, poorly run, and unfair company. I wholeheartedly believe she was taken advantage of because of her age and gender. I usually buy my tires at Big-O. However, the last time I bought them here they mixed up the rf id sensors and one was bad but since they were mixed up they kept telling me to drive it awhile. Well, after 2 weeks and some research i discovered the problem. I went back for the 3rd time and instructed them to replace the bad rf id. It was fixed. When the guy got out of my Jeep he broke the obd2 plug with his foot. Now like 2 years later I decided to rotate my tires. When i looked in the glove box there was no lock socket for the lug nuts. Do you understand the problem with such a thing when ur off road in the fucking mountains 50 miles from anything on a holiday? I am done with Big-O. You guys are worthless. Amazing and excellent service - I just came in walking with my blown out tire on a busy and hectic Saturday morning to see if they could fix it. It was not repairable so I bought a tire and rolled the back to my car on the side of the road. The service was so extraordinary from Angel that I brought my car back to buy three matching tires. Almost got stranded out in Salt Lake due to three nails in my tire. Good service and nice people.

Incredibly frustrating experience. I came to the store five minutes after it opened to have a flat tire repaired. I was told it would be about 40 minutes, which was frustrating, but I just wanted to get it done. An hour and a half later, the guy waved me over and told me the nail was in the sidewall and couldn't be repaired. I asked why I had to wait 90 minutes for them to tell me that, and he mumbled a response about them getting it taken care of. I said "So, you can repair it?" Then he said that actually, no, they couldn't fix it, but I could buy a new tire and have them put it on in five minutes. About 10-15 minutes later, I was checked out without a word of apology for the wait or an ounce of friendliness, and almost $100 lighter. I get that they might have had jobs they were working on from the previous day which kept them busy this morning, but just let me know an honest time it will take to have it looked at (so I can decide if it is worth it to stay there). I get that my tire may have been irreparable, but come to me with solutions, or even show me the tire, rather than just saying you can't fix it, then that you can "get it taken care of", and then that you can't fix it again. And for a business rooted in customer loyalty, which is why I passed three or four other tire shops to get to this one, have some respect and courtesy for your customers. read more

They do their best and have always been honest with my on the time frame so that way I can just come back when it's more convenient for me. They brought my car back and found a nail in the tire. When they called me up; the gentleman told me to have a safe drive back to Denver and did not charge me for the fix. I loved going to the location off 3500 s in west valley, but I accidentally came to this one off 5400! I never would have come here due to the poor reviews! So as a rule of thumb, personal opinions of employees should be kept out of ear shot of potential and/or paying customers. As a moderately tattooed customer, the service person going on and on and on about tattoos (be them facial or not) and how they are offensive is in poor taste, as I sit here about you hand you $800. My daughters car had a low tire, so she went in to this location and called me crying. The guy at thecounter said he could not repair the tire she would have buy a newone.the tires were not covered because they're not big on brand. So I went to see what the issue was, they were not rude, but we're not willing to try to help support with the tire that only has approximately 3000 miles on it. I left the store mad and feeling totally cheated on a hundred dollar tire . I drove three doors down to discount tire they confirmed the tire was toast. But also gave me three options with in the five minutes I was there, and for 75.00 discount tire company was to replace the tire with a comprable tire with road hazard, free rotation,flat repair on all four tires . I will be the first to admit I know nothing about tires, but I had noticed that in the last five months I have had to go to Big O due to tire issues. Saturday I went in because my pressure light went on. I told two of the employees that the two times this has happened in the past I have had to change two of my tires on the side of the road. The tires were front driver and rear passenger. So could they please look at my tires because I didn't want to change another flat on the side of the road again. They politely told me they checked and filled my tires with air because they were under pressure and that was the cause of the light. NEXT DAY - CHANGING TIRE ON THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE. I usually always go to this Big O Tires because they do great work and are quick and efficient! HOWEVER the last time I took my vehicle in to get a flat repaired one of the mechanics accidentally scratched my car along the hood. This wasn't a little scratch, it was easily about 2 feet long. I don't believe it was done on purpose but I know it was not there because I was taking my vehicle in later that day to get worked on through a mechanic, so I had inspected the car that morning. When I called the owner he refused to accept that this scratch was from them and wasn't there prior to coming in. He continued to argue and I asked him to check the cameras which he said he would do along with "I still know it wasn't us" and then he would call me back. He never called me back. I always use this big O tires. They are honest and trustworthy. I have had the pleasure of being helped by the three main guys there multiple times over the past 10-12 years. Austin, Sean, and tony are very trustworthy. I have gone to the dealer 3 times before and they told me for example I needed new brakes. But I would check at big o before I did it to see if I really needed them and they said no when the dealer just told me I did. They are not worried about getting the sale. These 3 ALWAYS put the customer first. They are all outstanding individuals at this big O. read more

I was having a slow leak in my tire and had gone to a couple other tire shops to get it fixed, but the wait time was extensive so I kept looking. I stopped by Big O Tires early in the morning and got serviced immediately. Tony got some information from me and then sent my car right into the bay; within 10 minutes the tire was fixed! Apparently a nail was lodged within the tire and they patched it up. But as I was going to pay Tony said not to worry about it and to just come back for more business. I was kicked out of the store by the owner Tony C. I asked him to check my car because it shakes when driving. He had a hard time understanding me and got impatient and frustrated and told me that I don't know anything. When I asked for the manager and he yelled back that he is the owner. I was in disbelief because of the way he acted, so unprofessional and rude. He ended up yelling me to "get the hell out!" He showed no respect towards a poor English speaking customer like me. How many people has he kicked out so far and has not reported it? Has all customers been treated fairly even though they're minorities? Had he been a regular employee, he would not have treated me that way, but because he is the owner he thinks he can just treat people badly. I feel embarrassed because the altercation occurred in front of everyone. I have been to many Big O Tires and have never been treated so badly. Usually go to the Big O' off 78th south in West Jordan (which I spent over a grand on new rims and tires with last week), they closed at one for the holidays so when I got there at 1 they said to run over to the Taylorsville location to see if they could put my wheel spacers on... When I get to this location (the place was empty) and explain what happened and if they could hurry and throw them on, the manager Tony made a huge deal about it and told me "it's a waste of time for nothing." Excuse me? It take 2 mins to throw them on and you make salary so I don't know how this would effect you at all. Love big o. Long story-short- we got a nail in a tire, and soon found out it would not be repairable. Every tire shop we called said that where the nail was would require replacement of the tire, but because our car is AWD, would need 4 new tires. Our car was only about 7 months old, so to hear we suddenly would need to purchase a whole new set of tires was unexpected and disappointing, to say the least. It only got more frustrating when th e tire shops then proceeded to quote us for some of the most expensive tires each of them sold. Just when we thought we were going to have to pay upwards of $1200 because of a stupid nail, we called this location for a quote. I could tell instantly that this was a no-BS shop when they welcomed us in to check out the tire and insisted that it could probably be patched up. They were the first ones to not take this as an opportunity to squeeze a sell out of a desperate couple. We brought our car in to have them take a look at the tire, and within less than $15 and 20 minutes we were on our way with a fixed tire and huge smiles. Back in Febuary of 2014 I went to Big O Tires on 3600 West and 5400 South in Kearns, UT to get new tires. While I was happy at the time with there service they said I needed a new INNER Tie Rod. So, I figured that it was still from the accident I had out of Vegas where I hit a ladder on the freeway, I paid to have it fixed. About 2 weeks ago I went to have an oil change and make sure my car was working and I was told by Carlos that I needed an OUTER tie rod in the same tire. Well, I knew he was wrong because not even a year and a half ago I replaced that part and had to send the old one to the insurance company. I then drove about 850 miles to drop off my friends kids and my car started having massive issues. (It was pulling to both sides and the steering wheel was shaking and it wasn't gripping right) So I looked up Big O on line and saw that there were none within 50 miles of where I was. I then took it to Firestone because they were open on Sunday and they let me know that my OUTER tie rod was still perfect but my inner tie rod (the one they "replaced" in Febuary) was the one that was bad. So, I was then forced to choose to fix my car because there was not a Big O anywhere close to where I was and the next day was my kids first day of school and my husbands birthday. (Needless to say I missed them both.) Once I made it back down to Salt Lake I took in the part that was badley broken and the receipt and was told I was stupid for going to Firestone and when I tried to explain why I went there Carlos and another tech just got mad and yelled at me and called me a Fing liar. They then told me that there was nothing they "could or would do for me." I then came home and called there corporate office and once I started looking at the receipt from Febuary I found out that they charged me for 2 alignments when they "replaced" my tie rod. As to which they said "That sucks" when I brought it up to them. I will never go to another Big O or any of there sister companies even if they are the last mechanics on earth. I have spent upwards of $1,500 this year alone at this location and never will again. read more
