I took my Grand Design 5th Wheel in to get brakes and a bearing pack. They took my self adjusting brakes off and replaced them with manual adjusting brakes on one axle because they didn't want to replace the magnet on one. I told the guy working on it that it had self adjusting brakes, and he said that they all do. Ok then put self adjusting brakes on it when you replace the brakes. I went there because it was more convenient than taking it back to the dealer. Next time I will take it back to the dealer. Tim I did call them with my concerns. They told me they install whatever they had. I paid extra when I bought the trailer for the self adjusting brakes. They were an option on the Lippert axles. I'm 64 years old and really don't want to get under my trailer to work on it anymore. Thus the self adjusting brakes. read more

I go in once a month to get my tire pressure checked, they always get to me right away and I am so grateful. I just had my second flat tire in two months (there is construction going on near my home) And they confirmed that there was a nail in the tire but they had a problem with the machine that prepares the plug and it damaged my tire irreparably. They lie about what is wrong with your car. They charge you way too much for problems that dont exist. They'll tell you there is something very wrong with your car and charge you an expensive amount when it was actually a simple fix. And to add on top of that, the lady that answered the phone was extremely rude and not welcoming. read more

Similar to my love for Muchas Gracias, I still have yet to encounter anything like Les Schwab in any other part of the states (let alone the world) that I can find here with the friendliest guys in the tire business. Nearby Costco has its own tire center now, but even then they still don't compare to the quality work these guys put together. This used to be my most frequent stop for tire checks and air refills. Its a whole new world out there and I can easily say I've never had problems with this location. The only downside is that a result of their great service they tend to get really busy and sometimes being serviced can take a while. read more

Very new to town. Was having a slow leak in one of my tires. Stopped in at les Schwab after work to have it checked out. They took us back tight away got a nail out of my tire and patched it up. When it came time to pay. IT WAS FREE! They just said to remember them when I needed new tires....Sal was the first person we spoke with and he was the one who fixed my tire.great guy who would not even accept a tip. DANGER Beware of this location, they have several unethical sales practices. Their overall goal is to add up as much labor as possible regardless of your safety. I went into patch a tire and they weren't happy about doing free work they pushed and pushed to sip the tires which I finally agreed to but that wasn't enough for this greedy location. They messed with my rotor unlined it to try to make it wear the breaks faster thinking I wouldn't notice it all of sudden making a noise, just sad. We awoke Saturday morning with plans of a quick farmer's market visit and then heading out to go camping. As we get into my little around town car, we notice the left front tire on the pickup is FLAT. Oh no! What do we do? We go to the farmer's market, of course, and I mention that a woman at work has a husband who works at Les Schwab, and I've only heard GREAT things about them. There's one not but a few miles from our house, too. My husband goes there upon our return. He texts me that it's crazy busy, and using his wait-o-meter calibrated from the likes of Firestone and Sears, he anticipates it'll be a while. He returns not much later, in person, however, and shares with me a story that, frankly, I find hard to believe. He was checked in and waited and watched the staff. They were friendly. Smiling. One might even say happy. But here's the really suspicious part--he says they were REALLY WORKING HARD. The tire techs were jogging in to pick up an order, jogging out to the vehicle, and jogging back in to talk to the customer. They were doing things as quickly and as pleasantly as one could imagine. We had no idea what happened; no road hazard we were aware of, however he'd had an oil change at the dealership done just the day before. The tech posited they had yanked the air hose from the stem and it didn't totally reset, resulting in a slow leak. He looked over the entire tire, and just to be sure he pulled it from the rim and reset it, filled it and checked it all again. He found no cuts, nails, etc. We had never been to a Les Schwab before, and my husband said no, we hadn't bought the tires there. The guy did not charge us to do that, something which took him a good half hour to do. !! That tells me these guys are smart cookies. Because they KNOW that a great experience like this is going to lead to 1) me telling everyone who will listen about it and 2) us buying all of our tires, shocks, etc. there. And it just so happens we need new shocks soon... See you soon, Les Schwab! I'm happy to give my money to smart cookies that provide great service along with a good product. read more

I had just visited Jiffy Lube for an oil change and they recommended I get my tires balanced. I went down to this Les Schwab and asked what services they could perform for free. They said they would check the tires free of charge. And that's what they did, plus they re-balanced the front two tires! That's service!! Took my vehicle in to get brakes done. To be clear, I needed new brakes and rotors only. Nothing else. They quoted me $1200 PLUS said I needed a new master cylinder which would be an extra $500. They told me I needed new calipers at the low low price of $425. (Which I did not need) Needless to say I took my vehicle across the street and had the job completed for just under 600. Firstly I have always had good experiences with Les Schwab, like crazy good customer service. That's why my 18 yr old daughters experience at this Les Schwab stands out. She's a local college student and has an older Camry that I know from top to bottom. I told her it was time to rotate her tires and that she should go to this shop. Much to my surprise she reported that this shop said she needed ~$2k worth of repairs. This is the same car that a Portland Les Schwab (after having down an alignment) 2 months previous reported needed NOTHING. They said she needed 4 rebuilt brake calipers, 4 new rotors, a full brake job and 4 new tires. The tires (Michelin Defenders) are good for another 20k and while the brakes could stand to be done, there is no need for calipers/rotors. I told her to refuse the service and leave. A week later, I look at her car and both front CV boots are completely bisected into two pieces at the exact same place and the CV boot grease has covered both wheels. The CV joints were AOK before this shop got their hands on them. This place may be fine with a lot of people but are complete sharks with vulnerable customers, for shame Les Schwab. read more

Les Schwab generally does a great job with tires and other services, so she went for chains. They charged her $150 to install chains! Come on now... Unbelievable service in this day and age. I have been here many times and have had a great, quick experience each visit. I at one time owned a used Land Rover (baaad idea-don't do it!) and the battery died on it. Having purchased the vehicle used, I obviously did not go to Les Schwab myself to buy the battery. Nonetheless, because it was their brand, they replaced it for FREE! Another time, my husband had a nail imbedded in his new car's (stock) tire. I was hung up on after calling to see if someone could jump my car, which has one of there batteries that I've had for less than a year, and waited for close to an hour for the service truck. Poorest customer service I have ever received at a Schwabs. I simply needed 4 new tires installed, the manager told me they wouldn't do it, after the tire technician quoted me a price! Why? because they wanted to sell me their awful overpriced tires, and when I refused to buy them they basically kicked me out of the store. The manager was pompous and arrogant, I was embarrassed for the other employees as they saw what was going on, and held their heads down in shame, not wanting to make eye contact. I had just gotten my car fixed elsewhere and noticed a funny sound. I decided to stop in on a whim and they got me in right away, located the problem, fixed it, and sent me on my way free of charge within an hour. They were incredibly patient in explaining what the problem was and what else was "off" with my car, but not pushy to get it taken care of right away if it wasn't necessary. We were on our way back from a road trip and discovered that we had a flat tire. We drove to the Les Schwab Tire Center off of Lancaster St. and arrived at 5:05 pm. They had turned off the lights and were just locking the door. I ran up to the door and knocked and they opened up. I told them that we were driving back from a trip and had a flat. They opened back up for us and drove the car into the garage. They pulled out the nail and had it patched in less than 15 minutes. They did not charge us and were very friendly. We were so grateful that they stayed late just to help us out. We will definitely recommend them and get our next set of tires there! read more
