I have done the initial free fitness assessment and orientation to the equipment which was quite complete. Patrons are good at cleaning the equipment after use. In 6 months (about 50 visits) there have only been 2 times when all the indoor treadmills are in use and I have had to use one of the 5 outdoor treadmills. I have not used the other programs offered at this facility yet but do plan on starting a variety of fitness classes in the fall and will evaluate those in another review. I have always found the front desk staff to be polite and helpful.

There is an extensive playground with different types of swings, merry-go-round things, a large playhouse thing, and several slides on a little hill on the playground. In the area with the slides they have turf material and there is a recycling box with cardboard so that kids can use it and also sled down the hill. They have different types of courts like for basketball, pickleball, tennis, baseball. There is lots of space to walk on the gravel path, and there is sort of a pond area (which appears to be less maintained). There are many picnic areas that are shaded too. I really liked that the area the birthday party was located had a gate so that kids wouldn't run out and away. The playground also had a gate on it too, which is great for childrens' safety and parents' ease of minds! We noticed the bathrooms are somewhat high tech with lights to activate the automatic doors and lights to indicate that the bathroom is occupied. I didn't go in, so I can't comment on cleanliness/upkeep. Wish this kind of park was more common. I would highly recommend this park!

New magical bridge playground opens this weekend. It's not even open yet and it looks beautiful so far :) It has a dog park, a trail, a basketball court, a tennis court, and a baseball field. I almost forgot, the ducks! It has a lake with ducks! I like walking the trail because there are plenty of trees which creates shade, so it's not just sunny. The bathrooms are located in between the tennis courts and the baseball field. Also, parking is free! Anyone can come with children, strollers, solo individuals, people with dogs, anyone. Everyone is in their own world, living their life with nature.

This dog park definitely has a small town feel to it- it seems like most of the community members here know each other, and they are usually friendly and inclusive. Interesting note though- on a couple occasions, I've talked with dog owners who suddenly get into politics unprompted and I found that to be a bit awkward lol Most people are good about watching their dogs here and picking up after them, and it seems generally well-maintained.

Mathieu is flexible with scheduling, easy to work with, and knows how to push me without making workouts feel miserable. He definitely gets more out of me than I would on my own and keeps challenging me to work toward my full potential. I've also been really impressed with the improvements to the gym. The Vault is a great addition and gives us a lot more options for training and different exercises. Overall, really happy with the gym and especially with Mathieu. Be prepared for cuteness overload. I surprised my partner with this experience for Valentine's Day…read more I'm glad we didn't actually go on Valentine's Day because it's a group experience. Anyway, I was kind of intimidated by doing this for several reasons so let me just walk you through my anxiety (in case you're like me) and need your nerves calmed. First, the yoga. I'm not the biggest fan of yoga. Thankfully, this was a very basic yoga class. Also, there was a very relaxed feel because the focus is the goats. Expect side conversations and giggles every now and then and photographs being taken because, again, the goats. Next thing I was nervous about was the dress code. I ended up wearing sweatpants, sneakers, and a t-shirt which was the right decision in February. Still, there were some people that showed up in jeans and had no problem. Then, there was the drive, specifically the mention that I needed AWD. The check in actually happens at the entrance of the driveway which was not clear at first, but once there I saw the gathering of vehicles and it all clicked. AWD is definitely needed to make it past the entrance and even though I was given a number if I needed to contact someone, T-Mobile has no service so biggest thing here is do show up early if needing to be picked up. I left my water in my car but the owners (who are very nice by the way) provide water and tea and hot chocolate. Only thing you really need a heads up for is that the goats might bless you and that the bathroom is a compost one meaning sawdust instead of flush. The highlight of this whole thing goes without saying is the time with the goats (all 12 of them). They were all very friendly and cooperative when it came to taking pics for the gram. Highly recommend even if it's a drive away.

The manager Lucy has a sense of humor about this and says that if you receive a "blessing", you will be given a free chapstick. Similar to small children, there are some signs of the goats are about to take a bathroom break, so many situations can be avoided. One girl did need to trade out a mat during our class when a goat peed on it (I don't believe she got wet), and a friend just missed a single pellet when we were taking pictures with the goats balancing on us after class. Henry Coe has been in my "to hike" list for quite a while. It's the largest in the State Parks…read moresystem and while, technically, in the South Bay, requires a long, windy drive once you're off the 101. It can seem overwhelming to pick a day hike, given the vastness of the park, so I'd recommend coepark.net. That site lists several day hikes and shares route maps. It was a huge help to me, when deciding to hike the trail to Frog Lake. Henry Coe is popular for backpacking but moderate day hikes can be found and the loop to Frog Lake and back was a wonderland of green hills, tiny wildflowers and vast views of the Diablo Range. It's more about the journey than the destination and I enjoyed hiking through various eco systems that included marsh-like trails, rolling green hills, woodland and a small lake. Parking is self-paid or via the CA State Parks pass. There's a nice visitor center with rangers helping to acclimate you to the park, along with flush toilets and a small gift shop. You feel like you're in the foothills, while really, just a 30 minute drive from Morgan Hill. Now that I've acclimated a bit to the park and its hikes, I'm finally going to add Henry Coe to my State Parks rotation

FINALLY my schedule accommodates me to attend the Downtown Boot Camp sessions on Monday and Wednesday nights - and I am so loving it!! Admittedly, I was a little nervous about the exercises that I was anticipating them to throw at us, but frankly, I am loving the challenge that it's presenting me with as well as the burn of the muscles that I don't frequently use when I go running or when I practice yoga. The instructors are awesome and positive and friendly and motivating, and I couldn't be more thrilled that I'm an active participant - and that I can keep up!! Talk about a social and exciting way to work out!! I can't wait for the rest of the season and I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing how my body responds to the weekly challenges.
