I love dark rides! Pinocchio's Daring Journey is a ride that can't be found at Disney World (but can be found at Tokyo & Anaheim's parks aside from Paris). I've never gone on it before and loved it.
Found in Fantasyland, the queue to get on the ride is cute with some wooden figures around that look freshly carved by Geppetto. You board onto a little wooden car with three rows and take a journey along with Pinocchio. You see his ups (fun times with Geppetto and the Blue Fairy) and downs (the creepy Pleasure Island scenes with his friends turning into donkeys, ugh) and it's a fun ride overall.
I would think it could be a bit freaky for kids, but that's the case with pretty much all dark rides at Disney. Of course, it all ends well in the end with the sweet When You Wish Upon a Star song and Geppetto getting his wish of turning Pinocchio into a real boy!
Of course there is a themed gift shop to walk past on your way out if you wish. Plus an adorably themed Pinocchio quick service restaurant right next door. read more
