I hate writing this one because it was the single ride I was most excited for. I'm a haunted mansion girlie. It's my favorite ride. So I couldn't wait to experience this version and story. I love the queue. The sight lines are beautiful of thunder mountain, the molly brown (boat), even of a character meet & greet (we were here in October so we could see Sally & Jack meeting with guests) the queue is also really just pretty. Love the initial room, it's so interesting bit the volume isn't high enough to hear over crowded honestly which as disappointing. The stretching room is also unique with the paintings all special to this ride and far more "serious" than in the American parks. It was all very cool. The loading dock is also really incredible and overwhelming. However... The pace of the ride is way too fast for me. It felt like it was moving twice as fast as the American parks which makes seeing the details very difficult. We had to ride multiple times to try to see everything and still felt like we missed out a bit. I also felt like the story got really lost. I knew the background before coming but my husband had no idea, and when I asked home after if he picked up on the sorry line and he had no idea. So the story gets lost. I also really didn't under the context of the last section in the town of "Thunder Mesa" why are we going through a town of people lit in green?! Are they ghosts? What is going on? The graveyard scene is also way more spooky and goolish-the dead are all skeletons and not "grim grinning ghosts"...just more spooky. It might legitimately frightens young children (but I loved that aspect) And yes, we did have some stops. Every time we rode. At this point I think it's just part of the experiences ‍ Just one more random thing, the doom buggies, feel very short. Mu husband and I are both under 6'11" and our heads were at the top. When we were ripped backwards, our heads were on the top edge which was uncomfortable. They also do not lower themselves which is just an odd thing to leave out. Or does raise itself though. So that's odd. As a Haunted Mansion stan, I was sadly disappointed by this. Definitely ride or at least once but it could be better than it is. But definitely ride at night-much lower wait and the views from the queue are incredible!!!

Easily my favorite attraction in the park, Phantom Manor builds on the black widow storyline premise of the California original. Each time I went through I'd notice something new. It's the small details that I happen upon which make me feel like an imagineer added this quirky touch just for me. There's one window shutter on the second floor as you're almost ready to enter which just can't stop flapping in a breezeless afternoon. Despite my best efforts, I kept losing track of how many clouded mirrors line the walls, which purpose is to perhaps remind the bride that although each suitor meets an early demise, she's never truly alone with a phantom just over her shoulder. I wish they had more themed merchandise besides the generic Haunted Mansion imports from the California attraction.

Really an amazing ride and one of the best attractions at Disneyland Paris. In terms of the setup and ride mechanics, they didn't deviate from original Haunted Mansion much. You still get the large elevator with the stretching walls followed by a ride on tracked seats through the mansion and outside of it. However, they did change up the theme which really gave the ride a new feel and livened things up. The California and American versions of the Haunted Mansions feel spooky in a very lighthearted and fun way. In contrast, the Paris Phantom Manor really embraces a darker theme. A somber bride and a skeleton-like phantom character appear throughout the course of the ride. Replacing happy looking ghosts are decaying skeletons and angry looking demonic dogs. I really applaud the imagineers for their fresh take on this attraction.

Before going to Disneyland Paris, the attraction I was most excited for and absolutely could not miss on my trip was Phantom Manor. I had heard how much better it was then the Haunted Mansion at Disney World and was up for the challenge. Phantom Manor can be found in Frontierland and looks as if it's up on hill spookily looking down on the park. You walk through a forbidding gate and into the gardens of Phantom Manor. The outdoor queue walking up to Phantom Manor is so creepy and well detailed. You pass an eerie gazebo with a music box playing the Grinning Ghosts song and you wind through dead, overgrown grounds. You enter the foyer through the front door of the manor and then go into the stretching room. Following the fun presentation in there you move through the indoor queue to get onto the doombuggies. As you ride through the manor, each room seems to get more scary and there were a lot more skeletons than Haunted Mansion. It ends with the reflections of yourself in the mirror just before you exit. I wish I had rode Phantom Manor more than once as there are so many little details that you catch more and more each time. Don't miss it on your trip to Disneyland Paris!

A charming park! Not…read morea very big park, but a very beautiful park. There are much less rides to enjoy here, but much more pretty views and things to-do. The food is also not as good at this park, but there are some wonderful sit-down dining experiences. Pros and cons, but overall a park that's worth the visit at least once! Really enjoyed a few of the rides. For the thrilling rides, I LOVED Hyperspace Mountain. Coming from CA, it was not at all what I expected, but I had a great time. It was basically a full-on roller coaster and I screamed the entire time. Avengers Flight Force was also unexpectedly thrilling. Loved Crush's Coaster and of course Frozen Ever After and Ratatouille were fantastic. I really liked Phantom Manor which I found to be spookier than the original Haunted Mansion. Big Thunder was fun (and longer) and more thrilling than its CA counterpart. I had a great time!

While we absolutely adored Tokyo Disney, which is unique from it's merch to it's rides, Disneyland Paris feels like a logistically difficult echo to what's in the states. The TGV train from the airport wasn't great and getting picked up by Uber at the station was rife with scams. We felt generally that the park was not worth the hassle you go through to transit there (somewhat similar to my feelings on WDW actually). That being said the food was good and I enjoyed trying our Premier Access for rides (it made our visit a lot more smooth) but all in all I don't see us coming back as there's not much here that's unique outside of their fantastically large pins.

My friend and I were able to experience just about everything we wanted in around 4-5 hours on a Sunday. If you want to optimize time you can definitely pair with Disneyland Park and do a 1 day trip. If you've been to Walt Disney World in Florida, this park feels very similar to Hollywood Studios in both layout and attractions. It has a familiar vibe, especially with the Tower of Terror, which was a childhood favorite of mine. During my mid-June visit, the crowds were surprisingly manageable. The wait times were relatively short all day, and the only ride I used Premier Access for was Tower of Terror, which cost about $12 and was well worth it. One of my favorite areas was Avengers Campus. The atmosphere is fantastic, but I was disappointed to learn that the superhero photo experiences can only be booked through the Disneyland Paris app on the day of your visit. By the time I arrived, every reservation was already gone. I really wish they offered more traditional character meet-and-greet lines or standby photo opportunities for guests who miss out on reservations. Overall, this isn't the best Disney park in the world, but it's still a solid experience that's absolutely worth visiting, especially if you're already making the trip all the way to Paris. Just go in knowing it's a smaller park, and you'll likely have a great time.

This park is pretty small, but is about to become a lot larger with the Frozen land opening next year. For now, you'll find Toy Story Land, Avengers Campus, and some favorites like Tower of Terror and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. PLus, some unique rides, like Crush's Coaster (my fave in the park!!) I love the entrance, which is a large, inside area that makes you feel like you are under a starry night sky in Hollywood. This park is literally right next to the entrance of DLP, so it's easy to park hop. You'd probably get everything done in a day here easily, if not sooner. It's good for what it is, but nothing like its neighboring park. I can't wait to see it get even better next year, though!
