Dr. Beckley evaluated my asymptomatic tooth and xray, and suggested the "wait and see" approach as he prefers to "treat patients not X-rays" and recommended I wait this current crown out as long as possible before jumping to an implant, as an implant may not outlive me. I am so grateful I was able to get an honest opinion and a doctor who is not ripping me off, but putting the big picture in place! So for now I will put off this front tooth extraction and implant, which will be quite an ordeal one day, but will be back in his wonderfully professional and friendly office when I eventually need it!

At the urging of his pediatric dentist and Dr. Beckley, we scheduled it about a month after our consultation. I have to admit it was a bit nerve-racking to have it done during the COVID-19 pandemic but Dr. Beckley and his staff went above and beyond to reassure us. The office is taking extra precautions to minimize the spread of germs in these challenging times. In fact, their waiting room is locked and from what I understand, only one patient is allowed in at a time. We appreciate the additional safety measures put in place. As it turns out, my child did have some unpleasant side effects from the IV anesthesia and vomited a few times after the procedure. The staff was so attentive and understanding; they really tried to make my child as comfortable as possible. Luckily, he made a speedy recovery and was practically back to normal by the next day. In that time frame, I received 3 calls from their office checking in on him (one from Dr. Beckley himself). I'm grateful for the wonderful care from everyone at Pacific Oral & Facial Surgery. Highly recommend! (Tips: no photos since cell phone usage is not allowed. Bring a light jacket or sweater if you will be in office for an extended amount of time; it gets cold as they keep the AC blasting).

Extremely disappointing experience after years of doing business with this office…read more We have used this oral surgery office in the past for another child, so I was particularly disappointed by what happened today. We were running a few minutes behind and had attempted to call the office to let them know, but there was no answer. The receptionist, Kyleigh Wallace subsequently called me and immediately spoke to me in an unnecessarily rude and condescending manner about being late and the other appointments scheduled that day. I simply asked whether we would still be seen, and her response was snarky and vague which ultimately didn't offer any resolution. When we arrived, the interaction became even more uncomfortable. The office is now out-of-network with our insurance, which was not the case historically. I was trying to understand the payment process because my insurance had explained that they would cover 80% of the treatment, with only one service covered at 50%, and that the office needed to submit information to the insurance so I would know what my portion would be. Rather than helping me understand the process, Kyleigh became extremely defensive, hostile and condescending. She threatened to cancel the appointment while I was simply asking for clarification. She ultimately raised her voice and spoke to me in front of my two children unprofessionally. I explained that insurance billing is not my area of expertise and that I was simply asking her, as the office representative, to explain what I needed to do and whether the claim needed to go through the office or my insurance. I even suggested that we call the insurance company together so everyone could be on the same page. She refused and then spoke over the insurance representative when I called the insurance company myself to ensure there was alignment. What was especially disappointing was that no one else from the office, including the surgeon, Jerry Wang or other staff members, stepped in while this interaction was escalating. Ironically, Kyleigh ultimately completed the insurance-related step that I had been asking about from the beginning, the same process the insurance company had instructed me was necessary. The entire interaction was unnecessarily hostile, disrespectful and unprofessional. I was not asking for special treatment or refusing to pay. I was asking for basic clarification about a financial responsibility and trying to make sure the office and insurance company were aligned since both provided conflicting information. After having positive experiences with this office in the past, today's experience was extremely disappointing. Patients should be able to ask reasonable questions about their treatment and financial responsibility without being yelled at, talked down to, threatened with cancellation, or made to feel like they are doing something wrong.

Short Story: If you need to have any teeth extracted than Dr. Wang is the one to go to!…read more Long Story: I've taken my family here for extractions and Dr. Wang has always done a good job. He is quite knowledgeable and will help answer all your questions. In my experience the extractions took less than 20 minutes from start to finish. In addition, you also have a follow up appointment one week after to ensure everything is okay. To be fair though my family has experienced complications related to surgery but I wouldn't say that is Dr. Wang's fault. It was just bad luck. If you need any help after hours then voice messages do get routed to his cell phone. Verdict: I know who to go to for help!

Before surgery, we specifically confirmed that insurance approval had been obtained. We were told to prepay and that reimbursement would follow after insurance processing. Months later, after dozens of calls and even arranging a conference call between the office and our insurance company, we learned the claim had never actually been approved or received by insurance despite what we had been told. Since then, communication has been poor, follow-up has been minimal, and there has been no sense of urgency. At the end of August, the office manager told me to stop calling and wait for them to contact me once they figured out how to resolve the situation. Meanwhile, our family has been out more than $1,000 due to their mistake. With three children, including one who just started college, that is not insignificant. Mistakes happen. Lack of accountability, poor communication, and a dismissive attitude are what make this experience unacceptable. I would not recommend Livermore Smiles.

When you need a root canal, you really need it. And when you really need it, you want it to go well. A wrinkly shirt or a cold cup of coffee may be annoying but a bad root canal, well, go rent Marathon Man and get back to me. I had a badly cracked molar and my dentist ground it down, took a mold of it and sent it off to the lab and me away. While I waited for the second appointment, the tooth did not feel right. The dentist sent me to Dr. Vignaroli for a consult. He didn't rush. He spent an unbelievable amount of time talking to me about my tooth, options, etc. He didn't try to rush me into it in case there was another explanation for my discomfort. Once I decided with him that yes, I needed the procedure, he couldn't have been nicer or more professional. He's not a 'dental corporation' with 4 patients numbing up as he races from chair to chair. He's single-threaded. You have his undivided attention. Highly recommended.

My dentist called him and he made was able to see me the next day and his staff even called me 30 minutes later to ask if I would like an earlier appointment, which I really did. He was very thorough yet concise about explaining everything. At this point I didn't care what he was going to do as long as it would relieve some pain. He explained it in a way that I was easily able to understand and even made a point to tell me if he was talking too much just feel free to stop him, which I thought was funny because he knows much more than me. I don't know about other people but the longer I have waited to see the dentist my anxiety about it and fear has gotten pretty bad. After his incredibly clear explanation I already felt much morerelaxed. The thing that stuck out the most to me were his extreme precautions to make sure that I was properly medicated as to feel no pain. He seemed completely unconcerned with his own time as he waited to make sure I was properly numbed to be comfortable during the procedure. He worked incredibly well and fast, seemed incredibly perceptive of the slightest body language and made sure I was sitting in a comfortable position or any other thing and kept me informed through the procedure. I don't know how common this is but I think he took two x-rays during my relativdly short procedure just to make sure that he was 100% confident about the quality of the job he was performing. And kept me updated with accurate estimates about how much longer it should take. Last thing is about the temporary filling he placed while I wait to see my other dentist is done incredibly comfortable in my mouth and doesn't feel weird or effect my closed bite at all. Best dentist work I have ever had.
