Incredible dentist who stays on top of the latest technology. I've been coming to this practice since this husband and wife team bought the place 20 years ago because I was a patient of the previous dentist. My husband and I have continued with the Levines ever since. What keeps me coming here even though I now live 100 miles away is the fact that Dr. Levine is what I want in a dentist. He is precise in his work and is technically outstanding. He makes you feel comfortable, it's easy to ask questions, and he communicates well so that I can understand. He is respectful and has extensive training and knowledge. He continues to improve the practice by staying current on all dentistry practices. He now makes his own crowns in the office so no need for a temporary. He is able to make adjustments to this crown in-house if necessary to prevent an additional trip into the office. Dr. Levine showed me how the crown is customized and it is pretty amazing! And most importantly, Dr. Levine is gentle and will warn you in advance if you will be feeling anything. The hygienist I see is Darlene and she is accommodating and works hard to keep your pearly whites in excellent condition. I have gone through a few other hygienists here but she has worked out the best for me. She is warm, friendly and I always feel like my teeth are incredibly clean as I leave the office. I love getting my teeth cleaned by Darlene as I feel like I'm getting a reset and clean slate for the next six months. The front desk is responsive and kind too. Everyone here helps to ensure you receive compassionate care and you feel welcomed and at ease. I had some dental work done during this last appointment where I was given a heads up that I needed to be in the office for two hours. During this time I could hear the office staff speak in warm and friendly tones to each other so the atmosphere is calm and professional at all times. You can tell they respect each other and enjoy working together. The practice has also gone through some beautiful transformations since the Levines took over. I'm a patient of Dr. Levine. About 10 years ago, another dentist repaired one of my teeth, but within two years the tooth started developing a cavity that kept getting worse. During that time, I saw several other dentists. One dentist eventually decided to extract the tooth because it was causing pain. After the extraction, I looked at the tooth and saw that aside from a small brown cavity, the tooth -- especially the root -- still looked healthy. I deeply regretted having it removed because it probably could have been saved with a root canal and continued to last for many years. After three years of neglect (and thank you C*vid...) I finally made it back to the Dentist. I had found and switched to Dr. Levine's after not being happy with previous dental practices and losing my long-time dentist to retirement. In Nov of '22 I learned my teeth were in pretty bad shape after not going for + years and sucking on sugar-laden Ricola cough drops for years.... I ended up with 15 cavaties, a couple cracked teeth and in need of 3 crowns and a root canal.... Not pretty. Dr. Levine developed a plan and over the course of the next year and a half I'm back to healthy teeth! (It took so long mostly due to annual insurance deductables. BTW, Lucy the office manager was very helpful in working with all the billing, scheduling, etc. I must say that despite sitting in the dental chair as being universally despised... my experience with Dr. Levine and all the staff make the experience, well, so much less stressful. Lovely staff, and Dr. Jeffrey Levine is clearly a competent dentist. However, I found his approach unprofessional. He assumed I wouldn't understand his explanation about my teeth because I'm 20 and 'young.' Without confirming my consent, he called my mom into the room and repeated the exact same explanation to her. He later justified it by saying his own daughter would want a parent present. But I'm not his daughter--and I was his patient, not my mom. I would have appreciated being treated like the adult I am. This place is wonderful. The dentists, hygienists, receptionists are all so kind and capable. I've had my gums mangled by incompetent teeth cleaners before, but the lady who does mine here is great- it barely hurts at all afterwards. I also love that they don't try to force you to buy things like fluoride varnishes or oral cancer screenings. You get exactly what you ask for and I love that- to me, it creates a bond of trust and care. The lobby is wonderful. There are magazines and stacks of children's books, but they also have a Keurig coffee machine that the receptionist will help you use if you can't figure it out (replete with all the K-pods you could ask for), a little creamer/sugar station, AND they just added a refrigerator so if you aren't a coffee or tea person, you can have cold water (just in time for summer, too). I love Levine Family Dental so much that when I switched insurance providers, I immediately called them to figure out if my new provider was compatible with them. It was (and they even helped me figure out what would be covered under my new provider, as well as helping to set things up). I was so happy. It's so important to have a good dentist. I really couldn't ask for anyone better! The ONLY complaint I have is the parking lot, which I don't think they can do anything about. You can't make a left turn into it from East Avenue. You have to drive around the block (because there's no left turns on the next cross-street), come back around from the opposite direction, and then make a RIGHT TURN into the parking lot. It's confusing, but luckily you can park in the residential zones around the area or in the parking garage (and then walk). read more

Dr. Levine and Dr. Vasquez took the helm once Dr. Glenn Urban retired a few years back. The transition was seamless. If you're like me, once you find a dentist, you don't want to let them go! I have had 3 visits to this office. The whole team here is reliable, friendly, attentive, and professional. I really like that if I make my appointment for a certain time, I am seen right away. There is almost no waiting. And as soon as you get into your chair, someone immediately gets to work so you are in and out. I had an old filling fall out of a front tooth and it was pretty deep near the root. My regular dentist was doing some training out of state so they referred me to Dr. Levine. We went to see Dr Levine for the first time after getting some great reviews from friends. We were so impressed! It was my daughter first visit do an adult dentist, and he was so kind and patient, and made her feel so comfortable. He was also able to get her to talk about something minor that bothered her for a long time (her front teeth were a bit rough and uneven, something her orthodontist and pediatric dentist were quite dismissive off) and he was able to fix it in 2mintues. I had my first "dental emergency" in my life, in the form of a broken tooth, no pain but in my mind an issue none the less. Dr. Levin's office got me right in and accommodated my schedule, from the second I walked in the door my experience was amazing. They were efficient, pleasant and concerned. I started seeing Dr. Levine after becoming dissatisfied with another dentist in Livermore on the recommendation of a friend. I was immediately impressed by their office upon the first visit, and they continue to impress me. Dr. Levine has wonderful bedside manner, and he discovered (minor) problems my previous dentist failed to notice. Every hygienist who's cleaned my teeth has been great, and Lucy working the reception desk is just a gem of a human being. She was very understanding about some payment issues I had while trying to navigate new dental insurance. I've now gotten my mom to see Dr. Levine and she's just as happy with the practice as I am.
