I would highly recommend some of the reasons are: *Integrity *Quality of care *Honest Without naming the other dentist that I was seeing and went to about a situation these other dentist recommend work that I didn't need getting an implant in one case and the other a total mouth restoration as it turns out I just need some orthodontics and my broken tooth can be fixed with the root canal and a crown versus an implant which if I didn't get the orthodontic work done first I would just end up breaking again. It's hard to find an honest, caring dentist that's part of dental plans I will recommend that everyone come see come to Livermore dental The hygienist are great too plus the office staff and they're not trying to push and sell you what you don't want. read more

Let me just start by saying, "Wow!"[[HIGHLIGHT]]Dr Gibson and his staff are wonderful![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My 90 year old mother moved to the area a few years ago but had not established herself with any Dental office. I drove up from Nevada, where I live and when I got to town my mother informed me she was having tooth pain, but it was late, Thursday afternoon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called the office and amazingly, they got her right in, the same day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They determined that her wisdom tooth was infected and cracked. They referred her to a specialist for an extraction, gave her a prescription for antibiotics and gave her a gel to apply topically to the infected tooth. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They could not have been more helpful and delightful![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To top it off, we were scrambling through her insurance cards and I am not even sure if we gave them one that specifies that she has dental insurance. Let me just say, She and I both were so happy that we met Dr Gibson and his staff and she will now happily be using him as her dentist. read more

Livermore Dental failed to inform me of the cost of care after I asked them every single time I went in how much I would be expected to pay, and now they claim I owe them a bunch of money even though I already paid them $1000 out of pocket. I've been coming here for since I was a kid on my parents insurance, and assumed that they would be a good option once I was on my own. I had anthem Blue Cross insurance, and they claimed that my insurance would be accepted, but I still asked EVERY TIME how much I would pay out of pocket, and each time it was "don't worry about it!" or some similar dismissive answer. I came in 4-5 times over the course of a year and a half for regular cleaning and then a couple deep cleanings and then finally they called me and said "we can't do any more work until you pay down this $2000 bill on your account" I paid them around $1000 out of pocket, and they still wanted more. I called my insurance and they basically said they never worked with Livermore Dental at all. Failing to inform a healthy, ambulatory patient of the cost of care is unethical, and horrible business practice. I wish I could do more to expose this terrible business, so I'll be lodging a complaint to the board of ethics. read more

I like this place and appreciate the service. Always nice with big smiles. However, some stains on my teeth were neglected and could have easily been removed. This is long overdue. My sister did all my dentistry for years until she moved out of state and suddenly last year at 55 years old had to find a local dentist in Livermore. At the time I needed implants, 2 of them, and I was lucky enough to find Dr. Gibson and his office. Dr. Gibson has to be one of the nicest men I have ever met professionally or personally. He kindness and care to his patients is something you will not find in other dental practices (even my sisters...LOL!). He is the BEST! He helped me with the pricing in terms of a payment plan and worked with me around some financial struggles I was facing to have it just work and get my 2 front teeth completed. This weekend I broke a tooth, out of the blue, was eating a Tootsie Roll (I admit..) and the sucker just took a chuck of my back molar with it. I called Monday and initially the office said they couldn't help me in the time frame I was looking for. Because I couldn't miss work I was looking around for another office to help me as the tooth was pounding. Then a lady called from Dr Gibson's office and said that Dr Gibson would see me at the time I needed, he would stay a little later. I wasn't surprised to hear of Dr. Gibson's sacrifice, and man oh man, I was so relieved to know he would be looking at me. They got me in the next day and he literally saved my tooth from utter disrepair. He said if I had waited any longer I would have lost the tooth. He gave me a temporary crown on the spot and ordered me the permanent crown same day so I will have it a couple of weeks. I can't thank Dr. Gibson enough and his staff is very friendly. I seldom write reviews on Yelp, especially quite a lot of service providers are either not able to maintain their good services for long or could not applied to the whole company except Livermore Dental Care. I have changed or have had treatment done by at least 7 general dentists or specialists, only Livermore Dental Care is the one that I will keep going to. Dr. Gibson and his team are super nice with patience to answer all your questions, trying everything to make you feel comfortable. Cleaning is done by their hygienists and all of them are very gentle, and Dr. Gibson will come at the end to check the X-ray, and make sure the cleaning is done well, and always ask if I have any concerns or questions. Last but not the least, their admin staff are super nice too. My son also got his dental care there in the past 3 years and feel comfortable. I highly recommended especially for those who had bad experience with dentists in the past. read more

I have always been very nervous and scared to visit the dentist. My boyfriend recommended Livermore Dental Care. I had a sort of dental emergency and called early this morning, I was able to be seen this afternoon, the receptionist on the phone was so pleasant and helpful. My visit was amazing, Dr. Stephen was so considerate and explained everything he was doing. I was so nervous I didn't catch the name of my dental assistant. She was perfect. I am so sad that my dentist Dr Lim has been laid off because of Covid 19. The only dentist left, the owner of the business didn't even notice the hygienist didn't do a good job to clean my teeth. When I returned home I checked my teeth with the angle mirror there was still a lot of stain on my teeth. The owner dentist just briefly said that I had a lot of cavities to fill without much explanation and left the room. Just four mouths ago I saw Dr Lim and she didn't say anything of me having cavities. I don't trust him so I went to the other dentist to check it. I was relieved that I don't have cavities but only chips in some teeth. Of course I won't go back there anymore. read more

I have a terrible toothache and called Livermore Dental Care Thursday morning to see if I could in to see a dentist that day or Friday. I was told they had no appointments that day and were closed on Friday. I was also told someone would call me to discuss my situation. I got a voicemail at 5:30 that evening saying that they would refer me to a specialist. The caller did not give me a referral but said to call Monday to get it. It's Saturday and I am in terrible pain. I found a dentist to see me that I have to pay out of pocket because they can't verify my insurance on the weekend. I am so angry with Livermore Dental Care. After 6 and 14 years (my husband) of going to this dentist office and referring family and friends to them, we have moved our family to another office. In the past they have been really good about emergencies and customer service, but in the last few years it has been awful. I changed an appointment to have cavities filled, from January to May, and now to June, it has turned into a total of a 7 month wait to have this appointment. I was late by a few minutes to my May appointment and they called me while I was on my way to tell me they would no longer be able to see me. I was rescheduled out almost 7 weeks to the end of June, that's the soonest appointment. I was in tears because I have been having pain, so my husband called to see if they could see me as an emergency but all they offered was to put me on a wait list. My husband was so sure they would do some sort of service recovery since we have been going there for so long, but that was far from the truth, he was also done since he also had a hard time getting appointments to have fillings. I'm in healthcare and he's in law enforcement so our schedules are flexible, I can't imagine being restricted to afternoons or one day a week. We canceled our appointments, 4 of them, they didn't care, they just wanted to hang up as soon as possible every appointment we canceled. Their prices are higher than other offices, after insurance, so we are looking forward to saving our money for better quality services and nicer admin staff. read more

My 13 year old daughter has been terrified of the Dentist all her life, anesthesia didn't seem to work on her and most dental appointments consisted of screaming and multiple doctors holding her hands to keep her safe. We were at the point where only absolute necessary procedures would be considered and I was going to have to have put under complete anesthesia in order to get her teeth taken care of. We shared all this with the staff at Livermore Dental and they made her feel so comfortable and safe! They used a different anesthesia that worked wonderfully and they checked in with her throughout her fillings and extraction to make sure she was ok. No tears and no anxiety!! The first was Ryan behind the main desk. He was very patient and answered all my billing and scheduling questions which took a while. He helped me to resolve some complicated questions and was super helpful and friendly through the whole thing. He made sure I had everything I needed before I left. The other was Shawn who was my dental hygienist. Shawn was also super friendly, explained what he was doing and was by far one of the friendliest people I have ever met there (and that is saying something with the amazing staff there).
