Purchased a Hayward inground pool light. The light is defective as it does not comple show color red throughout the water as the other colors, blue purple gree. I contacted store and director of Hayward pool lights. Both would not refund or replace the defective pool light costing over$900.00.Do not recommend this service. I walked in. Nobody was in the store and the employee came out of the back. He seemed kind of annoyed. I had and example piece of spa PVC line I needed to replace and he responded with a bewildered expression and asked if it had anything to do with a spa. I said yes it was a piece of flexible PVC line from a hot tub. I asked if they told any hot tub piping or hoses and he said no as if it was a silly question. I was looking for a part for my pool,...was looking online but delivery was taking weeks due to the COVID 19, I went to this store, not that only have to wait so long outside because they were only allowing no more than 10 people which is understandable, but soon I realized there were like only 3 customers, and the employees 3 of them just sitting by counter talking, laughing, w/out caring people were waiting outside on the hot sun then when I was finally in, I asked the guy if he had a piece I was looking for and w/out even finishing my sentence he said we don't have it, and walk away, what a piece of...S. I purchased a safety cover for my in ground pool here several years ago. It was close to $3,000.00. I was given paperwork and told about the "amazing" warranty that it had. A 12 year manufacturers warranty! I was explained that should anything go wrong with the safety cover, I could bring it back to Leslie and they would take care of it. The cover started to fray and get holes in it. So, I called Leslies and spoke with Derrick. He said "YES! You are under warranty. Just bring it in and we will ship it out for you." BIGGEST NIGHTMARE EVER! They took my cover and would not update me on anything. I had to call them multiple times over a 4 month period. Only to be told things like...."We ordered the wrong box and its taking longer. We are working with the vender. We think it's in Ohio." Still, no help and no safety cover. Here it is the beginning of NOVEMBER and I am scrambling to find a way to cover my pool. Finally, I get a call from Erin, the "manager" of the store. She tells me my pool cover is NOT under warranty and its going to be $2,100.00 bucks to get another one! What a crappy way of doing business. Leslie pools should be ashamed of how they do business. I had to contact their district manager Mr. Michael Coleman who claimed he would help me. After MULTIPLE calls and texts with him he says the best he can do is $1800.00! This amount of money for a cover that is suppose to be under full warranty??? I even have all the original paperwork! I then contacted his boss Mr. Robert Plaza, who is sooooo programmed with managerial answers such as..."We are doing what we can.....I will look into it." I told them to send my original cover back to me. When I got the call that it was back at the store I went to pick it up. Kennedy, the "assistant manager" knew who I was and would not even speak to me. I told her I was there to pick my cover up and without saying a word went to the back. She brings the cover out on a dolly. Proceeds to go out the door and LITERALLY DUMPS it on the sidewalk in front of the parking lot! I can't believe that a company like this is still in business. HORRIBLE. I have filed a report with consumer protection. I have let many people know about how I was treated and I have heard similar horror stories from them as well. Three even said they bought chemicals there that were old, clumped together, and out of date. I WONT EVER BE USING LESLIE AGAIN! Amazon sells a very wide variety of pool supplies including safety covers, and chemicals much cheaper! read more

Today was my first visit ever to Leslie's pool store and I've found my new pool spot. My husband and I walked in today and it was super busy yet we were welcomed into the store and immediately helped. Derek took our water sample and told us everything we needed for our in ground pool. My husband asked some questions and he answered them right sssh. Brandy noticed that we were looking at the Polaris vacuum's and came over to us to tell us a little bit about them. We have a 9 1/2 in ground pool and I've been cleaning it with a pole vacuum. I have been looking at investing in a vacuum but honestly wasn't sure if I was ready to pull the trigger. As my husband and I talked to Brandy she was informing us about all these amazing things about the pool vacuum. I told her I'd let her know if we were interested and walked around the store some more but eventually came back to the vacuum again. Brandy came back and told us the deal that was for this weekend 20% off the vacuum we were looking at and also told me I could finance it as well. Brandy was informative, friendly and over all awesome. It was super busy in the store and she didn't seem rushed or irritated when I was asking her questions about the product. I pulled the trigger today and invested in the vacuum. If it wasn't for brandy and her knowledge I honestly probably wouldn't have purchased the Polaris vacuum today and just would have only had my water tested. I will be a returning customer. read more

I never right reviews but I wanted to right a review regarding the excellent customer service that I've received at Leslie's Pool in White Marsh, MD. I'm greeted with a friendly acknowledgement, and as a frequent customer, I am always greeted by name. During COVID, under unprecedented circumstances, I have watched the dedication of the staff to their customer's needs, even at the risk of their own health and safety. I want to thank the staff and will continue to shop at this location for all of my pool needs. I guess I shouldn't expect much service when you can't understand the kid at the counter 'mumble-asking' you "Salt or Chlorine?" to start off with. Of the ten people in the store at the same time as myself, eight left because the staff was pretty much useless. I heard one guy be told "We don't carry that part" even though the filter was purchased there last summer. One semi-helpful kid did the "analysis" on my water sample and they told me what I needed. Luckily, they were out of everything on my list, so I went up the street to ABC Pools - which is MUCH CHEAPER and have smaller . Bought what was recommended and put everything in per Leslie's directions. The next day, my pool water was worse than before. Taking another sample up they told me I put too much in. REALLY? Because I put the 5lbs of each chemical YOU told me to put i. $40 worth. And now I have to buy $50 more of different chemicals to fix this. Thanks! read more

I have dealt with Leslie's in Nottingham, MD for years and never had a problem, however, the today the woman that answered the phone was abrupt, nasty and just down right rude. She acted like i was bothering her asking if they had a specific item in stock and told me i had to have the item number or she couldn't look it up even after i told her the name of the product. She had an attitude from the time she answered the phone. i just hope this was not the manager because if it was Leslie's needs to find a new one. At the end of the conversation when i said thank you trying to be polite she just hung up never saying a word. read more

I am new to having a pool and between my pool guy and the staff at Leslie's, I have learned a lot. Jamie, who I believe is the store manager, is very helpful. If your going there and have a lot of questions, don't go on a weekend- it's sooo busy. The store isn't big at all but they have had everything I needed so far. read more

The experience I had with Leslie's Pool Service District Manager Dylan Kain was flawless! Because the service hours of the company aren't convenient for the average person who works from 9AM-5PM Monday - Friday and Saturday's are unavailable, Dylan took the time to contact me personally and schedule a time to meet with me. A time that was not only convenient for me, but also inconvenient for him (as it was on his own personal time). For a company to provide such extraordinary and personal customer service, I have nothing but praise to offer. Dylan educated on the pool, seasonal maintenance, as well as tips on how to best open/close the pool. Truly a genuine individual offering the help that no one else would. Many thanks! read more

I have been going to Leslie's for many years. Past managers were ok. Brittany or Bridget, believe her name was, was very knowledgeable and very nice. Once she left a young man took over and he was horrible. I only continued going there and not ABC was because of Jamie the assistant there for many years. The man left and they finally promoted Jamie!! She saved that store. She was very very knowledgeable honest nice understanding and all together the BEST manager I have ever dealt with in my 15+ years doing business with Leslie's. She left the company about a month ago, and let me tell you, it has turned into a nightmare disappointment horrible place to go to. The new manager Erin is a rude nasty and sloppy girl! She has bad mouthed not only Jamie but Nicky and customers in front of customers! I came in on a Saturday and her a another lady, who had glasses and reddish hair, were out back smoking with about 6 customers in the store waiting! Once a gentleman went a found then 10 minutes later they were both very very rude! Acted like we were bothering them. I overheard a customer ask if Jamie was there to report the issue and Erin's response was " she was going to get fire! In the new manager whatever you want goes through me. Get use to it!" The lady put all of her items down , just guessing I would say at least $350 worth, told both girls that she will no longer do business with any Leslie's and would rather deal with the overpriced ABC down the road. Erin told her " go right a head. We don't want your business with that attitude!" Now I am the first person to say when someone is out of line being in customer service myself, but that old lady wasn't not rude one bit! I will also say I could smell marihuana and Erin's eyes were blood shot. And she looked high. I myself will no longer shop at ANY Leslie's ever again. I have also let all of my family who deal with your business this, I believe you lost their business as well. After the incident I tried contacting the district manager, Chris Frising, he would not respond. It is a shame. As I use to enjoy my visits with Leslie's, even when there was 40 customers in the store and you had to wait long periods of time to get a water test, but with that unprofessional girl there I will never shop there again! read more
