I've used Clearwater for 3 years to open and close my above ground pool each year. It's been awesome! They are great to deal with. They do book up ahead on appointments, but you go into this knowing it. So I have an appt on my work calendar to call them in April to schedule the opening and in September to schedule the closing. So Again I'm leaving another review for CLEARWATER SPA & POOLS OF BEL AIR MD. whoever came to clean my pool today didn't vacuum it to waste like I told them to so now the pool looks worst. I know they didn't vacuum to waste because the water was hirer then it was when he first got there bc I had the hose in know it would lose water if he vacuumed to waste. You need to send someone who knows what they are doing not someone who thinks they know what they are doing because I know the person who came to clean my pool was new last year so he still needs more training to be cleaning pools on his own. This is ridiculous. I'm spending all this money for what to have my pool green coming up to a month bc it's gonna at least take another week to clear this up. I would not recommend this company for the following reasons g reasons: Poor quality workmanship ( I still have spots on the bottom of my pool from improper cleaning; unqualified technicians ( I had to replace my pool Heater for salt water twice without warranty because of improper installation; poor service /problem solving ( spend 2 months last summer trying g to find a leak that was cause by improper installation of the light that they installed for $500! I add my voice to the choir that this company is beyond irresponsible and inconsistent with customer service. My experience continues to be very troubling in that the company installed a pool heater which failed miserably after just shy of three months, and I called for a repair as the equipment was still under manufactures warranty. Cleartwater Pool and Spa (CPS)' technicians evaluated my pool heater's issues promptly; however, I called four times a week over the course of two months asking CPS to release its findings to the Warranty Company (American Home Shield). After more than 75 phone calls between myself, and American Home Shield, the company released the findings. The expense was $5,599 and this company never replaced the item; in fact, because of the company's failures, my pool room flooded, wood door rioted due to the salt water spilling on the deck from the pool heater's flange. There is a lot of collateral damage. I directly asked the manager Corey to assist and all of my calls had been ignored. In my opinion, this company is deserving of a "F"! Customer service is horrible, standing by installed products is horrible, craftsmanship/installation is horrible, product quality vs cost is horrible, up charging is excessive and likely abusive. I caution any hardworking consumer to do your homework before employing this company. I have major regrets and would never employee this company again. read more

Today I had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I own a home in the neighborhood with a pool so I come here every season. I brought items from this location and was a few days past 30 days. This white guy was in front of me returned an item past the 30 day mark so I'm curious as to why the associate refuse to return my items!! I feel racially profiled and I am very frustrated by this! I called Ryan Moore to complain about the situation. He was very short with me and seemed angry. He stated "you can return the items, I said thank you he said yup", and hung up on me!! I expected management to treat their customers with respect but that did not happen. I should not have been racially profiled!! I will be talking to someone higher than Ryan. This was the worse opening of my pool I have had in 35 years. They said they don't clean and vacuum, which was understood after explanation. However, they did not skim debris off the top of the pool. They lost my skimmer baskets from the last opening. I don't think I will ever use or recommend them in life! If I had any questions forget about it. They didn't put the railings back on either. They got out of there so fast it seemed like they were barely there in the first place. So disappointed with this company. Now I have to call someone else to do the job. read more

I scheduled pool cleaning and they told me they would be out between 9am-5pm. After I took off work to be there and at 5:15 no one showed up I made a phone call to store and they told me that they were on the way. After 630 still no one showed up I called again and they stated that they pool cleaners just quit on them. Then they called and saying they were at my house that day which was not true do to ring camera and neighbor and me being home. They stated that someone would be there a next day. They showed up and added chemicals to my pool which when I scheduled a pool cleaning they didn't specify that they would add chemicals. My pool remained cloudy for over 2 weeks which I had to have another pool company come out and asked why there was so much white residue at the bottom of my pool. I couldn't explain to them why. I always used ABC pools with no issues. The clearwater location on Bel Air Rd has terrible customer service and knowledgeable staff.

Called their Bel Aire Rd. location. Asked if they caried 1/2" flexible pvc pipe. Guy checked and came back and said yes, by the foot and they had it. Came in later that day. He and another lady was there. I asked for it. After a lot of looking she said they had 3/4 but not 1/2" flexible PVC. She put a few feet on the counter and asked if it would work. I said no and she said she'd go back and look more. In the meantime I noticed the hose on the counter she put there was vinyl, not flex pvc. When she came back and said they didn't have 1/2", I said FYI this wouldn't work anybody because it was vinyl tube, not flex pvc. She said I could use it instead and I said no it won't cement to pvc couplings. She said I could use some barb attachments. I asked if they sold those and she said no. I can't believe so many layers of incompetence, to misinform when I called, and argue me when I point out they weren't even using the right name for the material they tried to sell me. WORST customer service EVER. If I could give zero stars I would. I order a product, provided all the information needed for the correct product. Almost 1 month later I am told it was the wrong product ordered and the new one would be almost 100 dollars more. I found somewhere else to purchase the Liner and had to fight to get my money back for a product I didn't have yet. Then when speaking with the "owner" was yelled at, told it would take 30 days to get my money back plus other charges. So when i raised my voice back due because i was spoken to that way, he would then stated all of these other fees and longer time frame. This is after speaking with the store that it would be 7-10 days for my return and no mention of other charges. Would never go back and don't recommend to anyone else. read more

Looked at their reviews and called then first. After initial call "a salesman" called back two days later to say that " they only do vinyl pools and they are booked up until August....as in 2021." Excuse us for bothering you, if we knew that we would not have called. We are very glad they are successful. But their arrogance is not enough to earn our business. We suggest you check them out because they offer far more options than Clear Water, they are far more easier to deal with, and they are a company who works hard to earn business. First time buying from them and they had a good customer service at the store however they told me my pool installation was going to be the third week of June. When I called yesterday to try to find out the actual date they told me I had to call the contractor. So I called today and they told me they are in the first week of August. Not only that but when they send me the prices it was $600 cheaper but when I paid I got charge $600 more and they wouldn't refund me because the price I paid was accurate. We were also thinking about getting a hot tub which they said it will be ready for the next day pick up but when we called yesterday to find out some more information they told us 45 weeks. Overall, I'm very disappointed and the guy that keeps answering the phone which seems like the boss isnt even giving any solution or anything. All he told me was I can give you your money back! Not sure if they have a new manager or owner however I received the worst customer service. They did not come to my home on the days of appointments set up. When I questioned the company, a young male called me back claiming to be the owner. He was condescending and arrogant throughout the conversation. He was actually laughing at my concerns. When I asked to speak with the owner, his response was "I am the owner". I truly cannot believe that disrespect that I received over the phone today due to the company missing my appointment.
