So Steve comes out again, drops a reasonable price again, does the job when/how expected again...except there's a minor error, so Steve comes out the next day to tweak it and make sure things are up to standard. I can't believe Steve is still advertising and cheating people out of their money. He does horrible work. Fence posts were just dug into the ground, because he says "the dirt will compact around it" ... well guess what?? It didn't!! Within a month, wind toppled a section of the newly installed fence. When I called him to ask about fixing it, he said it was because of the wind, and didn't take any responsibility for his shoddy work. I found a panel that wasn't even attached to the post, so I called him. He arrived with a woman in the car, did a quick nail-gun fix, and went on his way. It was a horrible job by steven. Save your $$$ and get a true professional. When I brought up the fact I was no happy he said I was a wolf in sheep's clothing. I asked for 1/3 back so I could have the job done correctly. This is when he freaked out on me. I'm so glad I have my texts! He will come up with every excuse in the book to justify his job. He had a young kid with him that he nipped at the entire time. Not only did I see this, but my neighbors watched it on their camera. Totally disgusting!! From what my neighbors saw the kid did the work! He leaned his wood pieces up against my neighbors house and on their air conditioner!! He went through my neighbors yard with debris and NEVER asked permission. He had the NERVE TO RETURN a picket fence that I ordered because he said, " it will look stupid." WTF NOW, if he can do this to a guy in a wheelchair that just shows his true character. Stay clear of this JERK. Lesson learned the hard way. Never again will I use an independent fence guy. Had he just returned 1/3 of my money, this could have been avoided. You need to do better, steven! read more

We had a tree go down on our fence that crushed the top bar and 30 feet of the chain link. Steve reviewed pictures of the damage and quoted quickly over email. I hired him for the job and he came that weekend. His completed work was something I could only describe as the equivalent of a lazy kid put something together. The final product was very loose fitting. Upper bar was short so my posts lean off plumb. Excess chain link was not removed at the end of the fence line. He stitched it up with ties as to conceal. The lower tension wire was cut off on a section and not replaced. What was left of the tension wire was wrapped around one of my posts. The lower part of the fence flopped around so much that I called him back to fix it and to pick up his tools he left behind. He did come. He tried to BS me about why he left it this way. He hastily put 2-3 ties on the fence, picked up his tools and left without final review. I reviewed the work after the fact and nothing we discussed was completed. I emailed him back and he said he was complete with the task. His work was below amateur for my simple repair i paid $840 for. I won't hire him again or pass on his business to my neighbors. All the work he did I had to redo. read more

In the fall I purchased several puppies and was waiting for Spring to get a big play area for my now 8 month old dogs. I did some searching for local fence installers, looked at reviews and pricing. This project was nothing but 5 stars. I reached out to Steve about my potential job, he was fast to respond, gave me a very reasonable quote. A late season snow storm delayed the job. And out of the blue, Steve was able to do the job a few days earlier than the second scheduled installation date. I was not home at the time of the installation, but when I came home and saw the work that had been done I was very happy along with my dogs. Steve backs his work with a 1 year warranty. He reschedule numerous times-We allowed this and chose to still use him because he was significantly less than anyone else we had received a quote from. Today, we received a new quote to fix the gates as within a month one was hanging and the other was nearly impossible to open and close the minute the job was done. The entire fence is uneven and looks awful. Gate city fencing came to look at gates and refused to believe it was done by a professional. He asked if we actually paid for this. He said it's the worse fencing job he has ever seen and it's only a matter of time before they all fall down. Steve's website says contact me before any bad reviews but we'd rather pay someone else to fix this than deal with him or his inability to do the job. Steve came out to our house to repair two fences yesterday. I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed we are in the job Steve did. We are embarrassed that our fence looks like this. He should be embarrassed of the work he did. But, he is not. Steve took our cash payment (big mistake) of $1540 and went his merry way. The quality of Steve's is child like. The fences sway back-and-forth so easily. One fence panel was left in our yard because he was installing it in the wrong location. Instead of installing it in the correct location he just left it there. And of course charged us for the panel and his labor for installation. I have asked him to come back to install it and he has refused. He offered me a full refund plus $500 for my trouble. I told him I would like the refund of what we paid. $500 more is not necessary. He then said, no I'm not giving you any money back. So weird! Absolutely, not a trustworthy person save yourself the trouble and hire a real fence repairman not an imposter. read more

I had 6 sections of fence that needed to replaced. I called and left a message, Steve promptly called back and came by and gave me an estimate. He emailed the estimate followed up with a phone call explaining the quote. He said he'd be out on a Thursday. The forecast was for rain, so he called and ask if he could come by the Tuesday before! Steve said he'd be there at 9:00, he arrived at 8:30. He quickly replaced the old fence. In addition, I asked if he could put a gate in another fence I had and he took care of that at the same time. I recommend Steve for fence repair! Our cedar board fence is quite long and had 14 rotted posts. I kept shoring it up as best I could, but it was a losing battle and I thought I would have to replace the fence which would cost around $12k. Instead, Steve installed steel tubular pin post driven into the ground and bracketed to the existing post. The fence is standing straight and strong and should last another 5-10 years.
