One such piece, The Wishing Tree is a public art piece created in 2019 by San Francisco Symmetry Labs, an American, art & design collective founded 2014. By day the installation looks like a 26 foot tall Banyan tree in the middle of Rosemary Square. By night, the tree is illuminated by a computer made light show. The tree is covered in 100,000 individually programmable, full-color-spectrum LEDs that create the light embedded in 10,000 leaves. The way the lights are programmed was inspired by the fast changing South Florida weather system. Symmetry Labs has said about The Wishing Tree "We hope, despite the technological complexity, that the piece invokes a simple and beautiful feeling: the wonder of nature and humans working in harmony, the possibilities we can achieve together when we share knowledge and wisdom, and the awe of life itself." I love this show stopping piece. Art, technology, and nature intertwine to great a piece that makes you stop and whip out your camera. After taking all of your pictures don't forget to make a wish. "I Lost My Shoe When I Met You" is a large installation by Croatian artist Lonac. The details of the butterflies flying out of the boy's hat and his bare foot (as he lost his shoe) are so cute. The image of the two schoolchildren sitting on a bench with their backpacks and school books is so endearing and quite unexpected for such a large piece.

This garden area is free which is hard to come by these days, and offers a bunch of different…read moretables or secluded spaces to read a book or have lunch during a workday. It looks like they sometimes host events here based on the people I see and the scupltures are very cool. Community groups like this who all maintain a nice area for the public are becoming increasingly important, and the balance here was just right. It wasn't overloaded with things yet there were pleasant surprises around each corner. Will definitely be back!

Parking is listed as free if you use the amenities of the four arts, museums, gardens, library etc. According to my visit today it's "private" or only available for an hour. I've been here two days previously to read in the sculpture garden and stayed far longer than an hour without any issues. Yesterday I also had to uncomfortably witness their security staff yelling while on a person call in the gardens. I guess if you're rich and tip the parking attendant (it's self park so this shouldn't be necessary) you can park without an issue. Very off putting experience.

This installation in district 5 in front of Phipps Park is part of the "Hello Sunshine" art project…read morewhich was chosen by the West Palm Beach Art In Public Places through a competition. There are five pieces in total installed at different intersections that serve as gateways to the city. The cost of the project was $256,000 and the program is funded by private developers. All of the art pieces feature rays of sun that are yellow with a white interior and they all are made of aluminum panels, reinforced with steel and a concrete base. Each one is a bit different making it unique to it's location. The artist behind the idea is Paulina Bouyer-Magana. She is part of an art collective out of Los Angeles called Aphidoidea. This is how they describe the project. "Hello Sunshine is the geometrical representation of the sunrise that is sectioned into five clusters of sunrays. Each cluster is unique and together they form the whole sunrise, but just like the notion of union, one cannot see the whole picture at once. You have to experience each part individually, in order to appreciate the whole thing. We want to give people the opportunity to go out and experience all five districts and see the whole picture that makes up West Palm Beach." I like the art work and I think it was designed to get people to seek them out and in doing so explore more of West Palm Beach. When I found this one I had never been to this part of the city before and ended up having a great dinner at Howley's across the street and exploring the Goodwill a few doors down. Other residents of West Palm Beach are not so fond of the pieces and feel the money could have been better spent helping the community in other ways.

I came here for a free open mic comedy night on a Monday. It was like an express comedy show. There…read morewere comedians going up giving their bits and then finishing quite quickly. Some of them I found to be very funny. Others were just working on some jokes and testing it on an audience in a judge free space. The room is like a small garage, and it's very intimate. It's almost like a little hidden gem. It appeared that most of the audience were comedians practicing their bit. I came here to meet up with some friends. The peach has a Mexican restaurant as well as a lot of local art studios. But at the time I was there (late in the evening on a weeknight) the studios were closed. Parking is a little bit odd. There are very limited spaces in the lot. But there is lots of street parking. The night I was there though, I had to park a little far away. The event was free, and so was the parking which was great. I would love to come back and explore more art experiences. The show was chaotic, but well run.

Food, drink, and art conveniently gathered in one neat little place and manned by fun people to boot. I definitely need to come back on a regular day but everyone I met was super welcoming. He came to the house, removed, fixed and installed the art piece. The costs are reasonable for high end framing, which is expensive. Not cheap, but excellent service and work.
