Further Update: After being blocked from harassing and abusing me on Yelp, the Owner has begun a Social Media campaign of lies against me and had her relatives begin harassing me on Instagram. Located off Rt 3 in the same plaza as Lash Moi and Namaste Indian restaurant. Booking an appointment was pretty straightforward, and I felt fortunate to find availability this week. What was good? Plenty of parking and a cute storefront (jewelry, hand masks, bags, etc. Gave a sort of co-op feeling as there is also a hairdresser on site. Areas for improvement: Talk to the client, explain what will be involved in the facial, and advise them at every step. For example, when I put on a mask, you might feel some tingling. Probably the worst thing was this was a "dry facial". I inquired about this at the end, and she said she "wet her fingers and used a warm towel because she was concerned about my lashes." This was substandard service at best. There was mask residue on my neck and in my hairline. No lip balm at the conclusion of the service. Did not mention after-care instructions, whether sunscreen was applied, no lip balm or hand massage. Not sure if it is because she is untrained, unfamiliar with other skin types, or didn't care. I will not be returning.

I called and asked if instead of buying the Groupon they would honor the price listed on Groupon. Picture should be included ($109 with an additional discount bringing it to $87). They agreed. I go to pay and they're saying it's $109. I explained to them the price difference and asked should I just get the Groupon since it's ringing up as $87 and they're charging me $109. To which the owner's daughter says "JUST CHARGE HER THE $89 and TELL HER TO GET THE FUCK OUT." To which I stated that was rude and handed the phone back to their front desk girl. With my friends wedding coming up quick and my regular hairstylist working the wedding party, I was…read morein a bind to find a qualified professional to do an updo fitting for my formal gown. I browsed yelp for an hour, read reviews, checked pictures and narrowed down on my top 3 salons closest to her venue. Studio Nails & Hair in Oceanside was my first call, and only call! Requesting to speak to Dee, (not realizing she was the owner), I immediately informed her of a picture I saw on yelp of an updo done by her. Complimented her on her quality and proceeded to discuss my predicament. She quickly confirmed the fast approaching date and time needed (2-3 days after call), without hesitation. Once the big day arrived, I was running about 2 hours behind schedule. I called and notified Dee of my unexpected updated ETA and asked if she could still accommodate me for a later appointment. She again said without hesitation, not a problem, I will see you then. Once in route from Lake Arrowhead (my secondary residence), I missed my exit and ended up having to driving an extra 30 mins around to catch the next freeway. I quickly called to inform and beg her to still be seen as it was crunch time. Dee fully understood and assured me that I'd be seen, but may have to wait as she started on her next scheduled client. I said not a problem and I couldn't thank her enough for still fitting me in. Once Dee finished with my hair, (which was STUNNING BY THE WAY! Please see pictures below), she assisted with getting me into my gown. Fully ready and about to head on my way, I had a fashion emergency, I split my zipper in my T-back gown. Dee, her assistant and her CLIENT, saw the fear and panic in my face and eagerly tried to help me! We tried for 20 mins but the zipper wouldn't budge. With a gaping hole in my back from mid to lower, I was panicked! But my hair looked perfect!!!! I quickly remembered I had a plethora of safety pins in my purse (don't recall why, lol), Dee said let's give it a try! The 3 women pinned me up without question and got me on my way. I also had a shall I used as a wrap to hide the back. If it wasn't for Dee, her assistant and her client, I wouldn't have made it to my friends wedding! If it wasn't for Dee working so hard to accommodate my extremely busy and hectic schedule and specific needs I wouldn't have had picture perfect hair for her wedding!
