Tried Leticia's as a recommendation from several Weimar Locals. Chips and salsa were great. Chips were very crispy very "pita like". Salsa was a little spicy but I still enjoyed it. Restaurant was 2/3 full on a Friday but the food was really slow. Took 40 minutes for a table for 1. Chicken and beef fajita meat was tough and a little burned. Got tired of waiting for my check so I went up the counter to pay before I got it delivered. Mens restroom had an AC catch pan line draining into the sink. Very strange. Giving it two stars only for the chips/salsa and cheap margaritas. Might give them once more shot on a less busy night. read more

When I visited this establishment I was the only party to sit and eat, I noticed a lot of people got food to go, the ambiance is of a simple taqueria, but the food is mighty good. I got chicken quesadilla, made to order with a homemade tortilla and came with rice and beans which is rare for a quesadilla plate. The waitress was very informative on the food and actually suggested the food I ordered. She was very sweet and kept my half/half tea filled to the rim. Will be returning and next time I'll have photos of this fabulous meal and definitely be trying one of their discounted margaritas. read more

Not much to look at in downtown Weimar, but I can't see there being a better place than this in the area. Chips and salsa I would rate as average. Chips are good, salsa is hot, which I like. But not much flavor. Just heat, heat, and more heat. Strong 5-star recommendation on the mixed fajitas. And I absolutely love the fact that the only bean option is refried. Or, as my daughter says, "retired"! Iced tea even gets an A+, with a wonderful amount of "sweet". If you're ever in the area and you need to eat, you won't do better than this place! read more

We moved to the area 6 months ago. This was like coming home the enchilada gravy has that toasted chili flavor. The wait staff were awesome and helped us find our meals. Used to be good. We used to come here all the time. Now they went up on their prices, and down on their portion sizes. Ordered queso and didn't get chips. Went back to get them and told there was an additional 3.25 charge after I already paid $6.00 for the queso! A while back I ordered nachos and asked for jalapeños. They charged an additional.75 for them, which was crazy. They seem to charge for every little thing. Quality has gone down as well. read more

We miss eating here every Saturday morning. Breakfast is great and love the barbacoa taco. We still get chicken fajitas tacos and chips & salsa to go, miss being able to sit inside. I was raised in San Antonio, Tx. I know Mexican food. I judge Mex food by it rice and beans first. This is really, really good. I give Leticias Mexican Restaurant 5 stars, because for this small town, including the small towns that surround it, you can't beat this restaurant. This is a small town restaurant, and you will see the owner working herself, so the service is just like you would get at home. It might be a little slow at times, but you will get your food hot and delicious. If you are driving past on INTERSTATE 10, and need a place to have some good home cooked Mex Food, Go here. My whole family agrees. Now this is not Jalisico style Mex food, which I am not a fan. This is more TEXMEX. What a great place to enjoy in small town Weimar right in heart of the downtown. read more

Visited this place during high school baseball season and only needed one visit to know I shouldn't visit it again through the season. The food was terrible, but had nothing on how bad the drinks were. I ordered a margarita and asked for an extra shot of tequila, but they didn't have any tequila in the restaurant. Wait, what?! Sadly this is the only Mexican Restaurant available in town and locals dont have the choice. It used to be a decent little eatery but, lately they resort to stinginess. Their breakfast tacos taste good but, when you order eggs, sausage, and potatoes, you don't want to see more potatoes and eggs and left out the sausage, otherwise, what's the point. read more

Stopped at Leticia's with my wife as we were driving from Houston to San Antonio. We were hesitant to try it but we're too hungry to look elsewhere. It was in a town that can definitely make your imagination run wild; where did all the businesses go that once made this a thriving downtown? And when it's next to a place called Variedad with no translation you know the little Mexican place beside it is probably authentic and it was. I have eaten at Leticia's several times...only for breakfast though. It is located in Weimar, TX, a small town located right off of I-10 located about 1 1/2 hours west of Houston and 1 hr & 45 mins S/SE of Austin. Because the restaurant is located in small town, TX...the pace is a bit slower and more relaxed than other places. The breakfast is consistently hot and delicious. My favorites are the Huevos Rancheros and the Chilaquiles (similar to Migas) with jalapenos, cheese and fried tortilla pieces. All breakfast entrees come with refried beans and potatoes which are both wonderful and filling. Also, the salsa is homemade and wonderful as well. Breakfast is served until 10:30 am on Saturdays, which is the only time I have been there. My parents reported that the dinner was just as good, but I can't speak from experience. My advice would be to stop and check this out if you are in the area, or headed to San Antonio from Houston or vice versa. It is worth a stop for breakfast! read more

In a small town business district (downtown) The salsa has a nice kick to it. We ordered the combo dinner ($7) which consisted of two enchiladas, chalupa, crispy taco, beans & rice. Was very good. Also serve two hot homemade flour tortillas with your meal! Yummy to "sop" up the retried beans with. Love the small town atmosphere.. Went on weekday lunch time, many locals in there, which made for an interesting mix of people. Service was awesome! Definitely a must stop from now on... Hours- Mon-Sat 7a-8:30p. We decided to stop in Weimar to get something to eat opposed to eating the usual road trip fast food. It's in a really old building but it's kept pretty clean. The chips are made in house as well as the salsa. The salsa is a little runny but has a nice kick to it, but not one that prevents you from enjoying it. The menu isn't very extensive which is great so it helps you make a decision. It's just your traditional no thrills Tex-Mex, and the prices are on point. I have tasted beef and chicken entrees and they are both really good. Recommend the 3 crispy beef tacos or the 3 beef, bean, and cheese chalupas. Good size portions. Unlimited chips and salsa. Closing time is variable so get there by 8 to be safe. read more

I have been several time and have always enjoyed the experience. This in my opinion is some of the best home made food I have ever had.

Heading home on I10 W and stopped here for lunch. Place filled up quickly. We had carne guisada which was excellent. Chips were the nice thickness and salsa tasty. Service was great and choices good. read more
