Banana Oreo crep with Nutella and Bavarian cream!

I love the different dessert options! It's rare to have a place that duchess in dessert in the 5 cities area (especially crepes). The menu has interesting options and toppings. The wraps are pretty tasty as well. The place has inviting anime decor. The owner works there herself and works her schedule around her son. She offers many specials and interesting events (like build-your-own-cake)!

[Scene: Wednesday morning shopping & Crepe adventure in South Arroyo Grande, CA.] Craving a Crepe and near Arroyo Grande? This local lady, who runs a successful Crepe-oriented Food Trunk, has opened this evolving new shop in AG's Smart & Final Strip Mall. It is a nice breakfast, brunch, desert, snack, post-101 Freeway, or post-Weds. AM Farmer's Market stop. The location is ideal, since it is not far from the main road that connects the 101 and Grande Ave. It is also near all the shopping along Grande Ave. including Aldi, Vons, Smart & Final, and much more. It is also worth a diversion from AG Village, Walmart, & TJ's, etc... As a local who gets tire of long trips and driving on the 101, or even the 1, it makes a nice pit stop for a treat. What is a Crepe? It is basically a very thin pancake cooked on a special Crepe pan or device. The magic happens with good fillings, toppings, and skill. How do I know this? Well I have experience in the past making and selling all kinds of great deserts on the East Coast Carvel. I helped make one location the highest volume store in the entire state, by working all weekend without any sleep. I would sometimes pass out and take a nap early Monday mornings after working from Friday night all the way to Monday morning. One time my insane co-worker reopened the store after a few hours break and did not wake me up. Did a sleeping person hinder anyone from opening up the freezer that I was sleeping on top of? Not at all. I was rudely awakened by a customer opening up the freezer. Many years later, I also volunteered at some Thai Buddhist Temple events to make deserts, mainly Crepes, to raise money for the Temple. In short, it is hard work to create a great product. It can be labor intensive as well. The owner of this Crepe place seems to know that well, since she had to cover a no-show employee on the Wednesday that I happened to curiously appear, fresh from shopping at the great weekly Weds. AM Farmers Market, right out front, in their parking lot. In any case, almost at 10:58AM sharp, I looked thru the shops window, at the menu & hours of operation, checked to see anyone was around, and then check my i-watch. Just moments later, a kind lady changed the sign from Closed to Open [Yaaaayyyy!], opened the door, and welcomed me in. The kind lady & shop owner was very pleasant and I was treated to personal service, since I was the first one in the shop. The interior is a cool Manga Themed space and is suited to all, but especially kids. There is plenty of seating, tables, space, and even a bunch of games, such as Checkers, Jenga, Uno, and more. For those who are inclined, there is even a confortable couch to sit on. There are also some Tee-shirts and other things for sale as well. The owner went into how she gets repeat customers from her Food Truck out in the community, and also sells plenty of Crepes in dog, horse shows, & all sort of special events. I was curious about the difference between the Bavarian cream filling and the Cheesecake filling. The owner explained that the Bavarian, her fav., was more Vanilla forward, and less sweet. I went with her recommendation, and pick fresh Blueberries as my fruit topping, also farm fresh, since she also uses the Farmers Market and local farms for ingredients. I then watched her skillfully craft my tasty Brunch on the Crepe making surface, and eagerly awaited tasting it. The final product was a nice big fresh Crepe filled with housemade Bavarian creme [she was hand mixing another new batch of cream, while we chatted], decorated with fresh Blueberries, and topped with puffy Whipped cream. While they do not yet have coffee to pair with the Crepe's as of yet, it will be available soon [as we chatted about various Coffee's including those exotic ones such as Panama Geisha, or Kopi luwak, also known as civet coffee]. Since I was hungry, I could hardly contain myself [so no pic of the Crepe creation...sorry], and I wolfed the tasty treat down. It was excellent and the handmade Bavarian creme was reminiscent of the great Cremes that fill the best Chocolate Eclairs that are really hard to find [but they can be had at the local Mule Bakery in little AG Village]. Since it really hit the spot, I just took a few pics for this review, thanked the owner for the great Crepe and then continued my shopping along the mall. The energy gained from the Crepe provided ample Ergs to fuel visiting several stores along the way. I did not take too long, since I had several bags of wonderful Farm fresh food that I had bought from the great vendors at the Farm's Market..including Pearl Strawberries, Hanford, CA Cherries/ Apricots, AG Avocados, Los Osos Female Squash Flowers, and more, so I did not want to let anything spoil in the sun-heated car.

Decided to go back and have a crepe and Taro Blended drink. And it didn't disappoint! Decided to have the Berry Bavarian crepe and it was Delish! Taro with no Boba this visit.... They often have specials, so check in on their FB or IG pages.

When it's ok to have breakfast for dinner!! Great food and so fresh! Third time ordering and we'll do it again!

Even though we just had dinner, we couldn't resist ordering a hot dog. You can opt to have this bacon wrapped or not, and its just as good as any late night dirty dog cart you hit up after the club. IYKYK haha They have a ton of ice creams to choose from and they do give a couple samples as well. But if you don't want a cup or cone, they also have hella paletas to choose from! Paletas are so nostalgic for me.. they just remind me of my childhood with the paleta man ringing his cart. Ice cream scoops are generous, a single is still a really good serving but you only get one flavor! The workers may have limited English but it still shouldn't be too hard to communicate. They're nice and helpful, and the store is clean with a good amount of seating. They take CC and Apple Pay so that's always a plus! Open late enough for a little snack or treat to end the night!

The staff are fairly average, they greet customers and provide service relatively quickly. The prices are on the higher side, and I can see how a visit for desserts with the whole family could become quite expensive. Another drawback is the limited sizing options. For example, their drinks are only available in a large size, which may not appeal to everyone. I'm also not a fan of dining inside. There's something about the color scheme and overall atmosphere that makes the space feel less inviting and not particularly appealing for eating in.

Wow, what an excellent local brewery! Looking for some…read moreevening bite after a late lunch and this place was nearby where we were staying, so gave it a walk to try it. Seemed to close early, 8pm, for a brewery, but I guess it's a quieter area. Arrived past 7, hoping we can still get food and we were still good for food and beer! Ms. Kristie was so efficient and friendly and awesome, hustling back and forth from reception to seating and dropping by to check on all the patrons. Like a one woman show! I went for the Peanut butter falcon since I like a good brown beer. The peanut butter was initially nice, but it kinda became tiring as the sips went along, since peanut butter seemed a bit much over the beer. Got wife the German Pilsner and that was excellent! Smooth with a hint of malty sweetness too! I am thinking maybe the Lawn Order blonde ale is probably going to be great as well, but too full from late lunch to consume more than one. For food, went with the birria melt and the salmon salad. Birria melt had some awesome authentic flavors to it! Kid devoured it with the consomme. I enjoyed a quarter of it, but too full, so worked out perfect since kid didn't want to share more either, lol. Salmon salad was perfect! Pan seared on both side for that wonderful crust yet tender goodness. Salad dressing with cherry and almond slices made this salad so enjoyable while staying lighter. Was not expecting such salmon from a brewery, excellent food here! Locals seem to love this place too until closing time I guess, since a group that seemed to be bar hopping arrived exceited when we got there too:)
