I will be 60yr in July and I remember going to the Leucadian 30-:35yrs ago it was a hoppin' poppin' rockin' social gathering of FUN every weekend. I was even on the Leucadian Bar softball team for a season well I decided to stop by today to play couple games of pool I found out you can shoot pool for FREE on TUESDAYS also the pool players that go there are serious fun players. 2 badass players Cindy K &Bracc(I hope I got their names correct?) impressed the hell out of me with their pool playing&I also enjoyed the conversations. I WILL go back for more of that fun real soon. I have to SHOUT OUT to the bartender Clair as well she had the bar looking clean she was kind and accommodating. I didn't notice the back of the bar until I was driving off but looked like a bbq maybe possibly bands can play but I bet it's fun back there when it's hop'n I will find out next time I go read more

It was a typical low light, pool table, music playing dive bar. The outdoor patio is nice with TVs and fire pits and spaces out seating. Didn't order food. Had canned drinks so no idea how cocktails are. Bartender was nice but took a while to serve me when she was chatting with who seemed like regulars. read more

I used to really dislike this bar, but in recent years, they got a new owner, fixed it up, and added a nice patio with a permanent food truck. I haven't had the chance to eat there yet because it's very popular food wise and only they were sold out of a lot of what I would have ordered. Next time. The coal fires brick and morter locations. Awesome hot wings. Cute patio with some shade. Still the two good pool tables and nice dark bar ambiance , even with the new windows added in recent years. Boy, has this place changed! We went here for a private event on the back patio, but it was soon invaded by some fun loving interlopers. The food truck had excellent BBQ! I came to this bar for the first time after a company Christmas party. I walked outside and my husband followed me, however he has a beer in his hand. The doorman reminded him he had a drink and couldn't not walk outside with it. He apologized for this and threw the drink away. We went to go back inside and the doorman said we were banned. There was zero negative exchange or anything that would necessitate being kicked out and banned. I was completely in shock and confused. We are locals to SD and came here for a staycation and our daily stop was the Leucadian. We came here for 5 days straight and all of the bartenders and staff were great (mon-Thur) with the exception of Friday night. Bleach blonde "Barbie" bartender was super rude and condescending (hence 4 out of 5 stars). Otherwise, great atmosphere, drinks and food! It's not high end. It's not fancy. It's not really a dive though. It's just a cool place to come and hang out. Big patio with a food truck. Pool tables. Lots of TVs. It's a big place so bring the whole group. Full bar. Lots of good local beers on tap and very friendly servers and bouncers. I have been a few times now and this is becoming a go to spot for me. I've been to this place five times. Every time I get poor service. I live two blocks away so it seems like a fun local place to go. EVERY time I go I get terrible service. If I sit at the bar for ten minutes and watch other people show up after me and get served first?? Poor recognition of customers. Two thumbs down. Last time I will go there. read more

The bar manager was absolutely the worst customer service we have ever had anywhere in the world. She served a warm cocktail and was politely asked if she could shake it again. Her response was to rudely push a glass of ice and speak rudely and and in belligerent tone. We own hotels where hospitality and politeness is all you have in the service industry Liz clearly understands none of that sadly I was informed by the great and polite bouncer that she is the bar manager. I have been to this bar for ten years and had great service. This person gives hospitality and service and the Leucadian a bad name. Hope management reads this as clearly not the way you want to treat polite and nice customers. read more

I'd only been to this bar once before it was remodeled and it was definitely a DIVE bar. Dark, dank, and not a place I would go to hang out. It's still got the funky vibe Leucadia is known for, but now it's so much fun! My friends and I always have a good time here. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the drinks are strong.
