Regal Seagull is overall just a great classic bar in Leucadia. Great beer (and wine and and some kombucha and seltzers) selection with great bites. We especially love the wings and the Philly cheesesteak. It's also super fun that they sometimes open early for sports events, like the Champions League game they recently opened at 8:30am for.

Food, drinks, vibe, service.. everything here was great. We came on a busy Sunday, and despite it being pretty busy, we received great service and our food was tasty. I'll definitely be back in the future to try some more food items.

We came up for a staycation and decided to go to the Regal Seagull after seeing positive reviews and a variety of options on the menu. We went around 9:30pm and ordered hard cider, a chicken sandwich, two-sausage sampler (since they are known for those) and buffalo wings. Everything was fabulous. My son said the grilled chicken sandwich was the best he's ever had. My husband enjoyed the buffalo wings, and we all thought the Portuguese pineapple sausage and jalapeño cheddar sausages were fabulous. The Padres game was on the TVs inside which was perfect. Service was good and the place is decorated in sports decor. They have a mustard bar and they give you a name (someone else's, like a tv character) rather than a number for your order. The place had a lot of character. We enjoyed it a lot and will definitely come back. We sat inside but the patio was also lovely and inviting.

Stumbled into The Regal Seagull on a random weeknight and hit the jackpot--it was trivia night. No plans, just vibes, and somehow ended up in a full-blown competition over 90s sitcom facts. The crowd was fired up, the questions were just the right mix of clever and absurd, and the whole energy of the place was contagious. When you order food, they don't call out your name--they hand you a hilarious alias. I was Batman, and my friend was Archie Bunker. Every time someone's name got called, the whole bar chuckled. It's a small touch, but it makes the whole place feel fun and lighthearted. Now let's talk food: the portions are huge, and you have to try the green bean fries. Crispy, seasoned perfectly, and addictive. We shared a few dishes and honestly could've fed a third person without trying. Great craft beer selection, too. Heads up though--trivia night fills up fast. We got lucky with a table, but about 20 minutes later people were hovering like seagulls at a beach picnic. Get there early if you want a seat. Overall, quirky, delicious, and unexpectedly competitive in the best way. Would absolutely go again--maybe next time I'll be Gandalf.

Sundays are so special at the Regal! Sports galore! Football ( Vikings primary) but they also show a wide variety of games making the customer experience special. The staff smile, Laugh and joke. Breakfast burritos that $hit slaps!!! The kitchen crew are 10 If you're looking for a lime to ruin your beer then go next door. The beers are so good (Burgeon, Russian River, Guinness). Mike does an outstanding job on ensuring any customer will have a beer that meets their satisfaction. If you are looking for a white Russian, go next door. By the way the pretzels are better than being in Munich

Had a delicious late lunch at this location. Sangria, mojito, shrimp & carne asada tacos, Ruben sandwich with onion rings and churronuts(sp?)with sauces for dessert. All were delicious fresh and served promptly. Food, drinks, location, service, ambiance and parking were worth the visit. I highly recommend this place.

    Great Pint..think I'll have another

Really nice spot! Indoor/Outdoor seating. The bartender took my order and it's self service when they call your order. Guinness was great & pair that with crispy fish n chipper and it's a great day...definitely 4.5 out of 5stars

The burger and wings are always great here. The classic buffalo sauce has a nice heat to it, the wings are always cooked perfectly, and the burger never disappoints. The staff here is friendly, service is quick, and they are willing to make modifications to your order! It has a sports bar vibe, and there is always something on the TVs, locals hanging out, and good vibes all around.

Super fun atmosphere with a huge selection of beer! Great bar food at great prices! The bar was packed on a Sat night when we went it and the servers / bartenders were on top of it we got our drinks right away. I also loved the high tech order delivery system slinging the ticket to the kitchen is next level. Highly recommend

And our server was fantastic. So why, you might ask, only 4 stars in my review. Two reasons: 1). Management has prohibited giving a splash of a beer for someone to sample. Bottom line is that I wanted to order a pint of beer, but I wanted a splash of a couple of beers to try to make my decision. They refused, saying that one must buy a 5oz taster if one wants to taste the beer. I find that policy offensive. In the end I bought a taster to taste the Chuuurch, and then bought an additional pint after. It just seems nickel and dimey, and would be asking to an ice cream place not allowing one to sample their ice creams before buying a cone. I hope management reconsiders this policy. 2. My wife got the Hot Mess Fries and was disappointed not only in the flavor, but also in the misleading advertising. On the menu it specifically said that there was bacon in the fries, but in fact what they put on the fries was either chunks of ham or "Canadian bacon" (which as we all know is a very different thing from "bacon"). If they were or of regular bacon, the kitchen should have told the server this so he could have asked her if she wanted ham as a substitute. And, of they always use ham instead of bacon, them the menu needs to be changed to reflect that.

BIERGARDEN @ ENCINITAS…read more Parking can be a little difficult since this spot is located right on the main strip in Encinitas. There's parallel street parking throughout the area, so you might get lucky and find a spot nearby. I ended up parking on one of the side streets, which worked out perfectly. I came here on a Sunday afternoon, and it was definitely busy. We had to wait a little while for a table because several tables still needed to be cleaned before they could seat new guests. The staff was incredibly friendly, though, and we were seated as soon as they could. It did take about 15 minutes before a server was able to come over and take our order, but the restaurant was completely packed, so it's something to keep in mind if you're in a hurry. After spending the day at the beach, we were really just in the mood for drinks. I ordered the Blood Orange Margarita, which can be served with Tajín, sea salt, or no rim at all. It was really good and definitely on the stronger side, which I appreciated. My only complaint was that there was a bit too much ice, but the flavor itself was great. The atmosphere is what really makes this place stand out. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, large open windows that let in plenty of fresh air, and a fun, lively vibe that makes it a great place to relax after a beach day. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the ambiance and cocktails, just be prepared for a little wait if you visit during peak hours.

I wonder if this is a location on eBird. Yes, I am a dork. I came here years ago while on a business trip and randomly found this place and loved it here. So when a date suggested we come here, I took a look at the venue and remembered what an awesome brewery this is! Date gets some brownie points for chosing this spot, maybe this could go somewhere haha. Parking is a situation here. But if you go past the restaurant, there is some parking on the road and in small lot meant for those enjoying nature. I felt bad taking one of these spots. There is paid public parking on the corner before the restaurant and valet is available at this brewery. I need to figure out another way to get here... On a Sunday afternoon, place had people but it wasnt mobbed. Baseball game and Del Mar horse races were showing on the TVs. But, don't come here to watch TV, look outside! I saw some very good bird action, including an egret doing some weird strutting in the lush greenery. I am bummed I forgot to bring my binoculars but I will be back here again soon with binocs ready! I started off with a hefeweisen and that was good, date had a Mexican lager x 2. I had the ceviche (pretty good) and had the aioli on the side. Date had a sandwich of some kind and copious amounts of fries. It took a lot of will power for me to not have any of those fries, they looked so yummy! I also had a watermelon beer, this had hints of watermelon flavor and I enjoyed it. Great spot for large groups too as there were a few large parties sitting in the "outside" space. Hostess initially asked if we wanted to sit "inside" or "outside," and I was confused as it all looked like outside to me haha. I guess this is SoCal, everything is open air. This is a nice spot to have convo, very spacious, lots of nice tables, we sat at a high top. I love perching higher up, kinda of like a bird haha! Waitresses here were all very good, some very cute too (eye candy is always appreciated). Overall, a really fun way to spend a Sunday summer afternoon! I'll be back!

The restaurant is really loud when crowded and you can only talk to the person right next to you, but that worked ok in a group of 7 anyway--we just had multiple mini conversations. If you're planning a large group gathering, you might have to play musical chairs to catch up with everyone, unless everyone has naturally loud voices that carry. Most of the people in our group ordered beers, but I ordered a nonalcoholic prickly pear hibiscus ginger beer which was ok--pretty subtle, but it quenches the thirst all the same. I ordered the Farmer's burger (black bean) with added avocado and a side salad which comes with a lemon vinaigrette. I had to eat it with a knife and fork after removing the top bun. Very tasty. My daughter ordered crispy shrimp tacos which she really enjoyed. Most people ordered the backyard burger which looked pretty good--choice of fries or side salad. Freddy our server was friendly and helpful. Overall a good dining experience!
