The park is very well thought out, only a couple of minutes from I-12, and can accommodate huge Class A buses all the way down to my little Class C. All of the spots are cement, so no gravel flying out of your tires for the first 20 minutes after you pull out. I genuinely care about this community and worked hard to make it a safe, welcoming place where residents felt respected and proud to call home. Unfortunately, since the management change, I have personally observed what I believe to be a noticeable decline in the overall atmosphere, resident morale, and upkeep of the property. One of my biggest concerns is that the current manager is rarely seen outside the office, despite several ongoing issues throughout the community that require visibility and attention. In my experience, being present throughout the property and interacting with residents is an important part of effective community management. I have also heard repeated concerns from numerous residents regarding how they have been treated. Several residents have told me they felt disrespected during interactions with management. Residents and even my mother-in-law have witnessed the manager raising her voice during conversations, striking her hand on the desk while speaking with residents, and behaviors that left residents visibly uncomfortable. Other residents have shared experiences of having doors shut in their faces, being locked out of the office, or hearing negative comments made about fellow residents. Whether intentional or not, these interactions have created an environment where many residents no longer feel comfortable approaching the office for assistance. There also appear to be several ongoing community maintenance and safety concerns that deserve attention. Loose dogs are frequently seen roaming the property, sometimes blocking roadways. Animal waste is often left around the mailbox area. Chickens and roosters regularly roam freely through the RV section. Four-wheelers continue to be operated within the community despite the obvious safety risks. One home has reportedly remained without skirting for an extended period, another property has a dumpster sitting in an overgrown yard attracting rodents and snakes, and a large tree that fell near the lake has remained in place, creating what many residents believe could become a safety hazard, especially for children. I have also noticed what appears to be a slowdown in home sales since the management transition with the only sales still today are the two I sold while still employed.Several homes have left the community this year, and I had at least one other prospective and approved buyer who reportedly decided not to move forward after meeting the current management. While there may be many reasons for these situations, I believe ownership should consider whether resident satisfaction and management practices may be contributing factors. Following my termination as Community Manager, I was never given an opportunity to discuss or respond to concerns that were raised about me. I was accused of taking office supplies, including paperclips, whiteboards, and resident payments. Those accusations were all false. The paperclips had simply been organized and stored in labeled bags as extra office supplies, and many of the whiteboards and other office items had actually been purchased personally by my former coworker and I. We left many of our personally purchased items behind when we departed due to insufficient time to remove our belongings. This review is not written out of bitterness. In fact, I am grateful for the opportunity I had to manage this community. It was one of the most rewarding positions of my career, and I remain proud of the improvements we made during my time there. Since leaving, I have continued investing in my professional growth by pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Business Management. Because of the changes I have witnessed, I have made the difficult decision to move my home out of Twin Lakes Mobile Estates after 26 years of residency. That decision was not made lightly. While financial circumstances and my husband's paralysis have also influenced this decision, as I am unable to maintain employment that is not remote or close to home due to his care needs, leaving a community that has been my home for over two decades is heartbreaking. I truly hoped Twin Lakes would be the place where my family and I would remain for many years to come. My hope is that ownership takes the concerns of residents seriously, evaluates the current management practices, and restores the welcoming, community-oriented environment that once made Twin Lakes Mobile Estates a place so many of us were proud to call home.

After a few minutes of going over the amenities we were escorted to our site and the gentleman stayed with us until we had parked and aligned with all the utilities and he verified that all our slide outs were clear of any of the trees. All the sites are pull-through sites which really makes it easy to get an early start the following morning. The site was very level and there was plenty of room to park our chase vehicle. The utilities and hookups are all well maintained and we had no issues. There are lots of things to do inside the campground although we chose just to get some steps in and visit the campground store before going to dinner in town and relax for the next leg of our trip. We were given some complimentary trinkets and souvenirs at the store of the surrounding area which was very nice of the staff and unexpected. This is definitely a place we would return to when traveling through the area everything here made for a great stay and we couldn't have asked for a better staff to interact with, this is definitely one of the top KOA's we've stayed at...
