We are one family of the many thousands that have come through Louisiana to be able to attend and participate in the 2025 USBC Open Championships, a nationwide bowling tournament. She is so sweet and so polite. We asked her for many food recommendations, and all of the spots that she named were phenomenal. Now, we are not from here. So, maybe our idea of what is phenomenal to us may not be the same for others. But I can guarantee you one thing, The food places that were suggested to us not only served great food, but also they served up GR8 service. Everybody's attitudes were so enthusiastic and positive. Not to mention, we are in the south, everyone was so polite. There really is such a thing still as southern comfort and southern hospitality. We received both by staying here, at this hotel. This hotel was definitely clean and comfortable, well lit, and not super modern, but definitely not at all close to being outdated. I like that the pool area is open fairly late into the day and that towels and things are removed constantly. The restroom and icemaker areas are clean and kept that way all throughout the day and evening. The breakfast varies day-to-day. For example, yesterday there were waffles and breakfast sandwiches, eggs, bacon, sausage, patties, cereal, bagels, and other bread items available in addition to four or five may be different types of milk, and two kinds of yogurt. And today, many of the same items were offered along with biscuits and gravy. Nothing about this hotel has disappointed us one bit. All of the appliances in our room are in working condition. Dish, dishwashing detergent and sponges, coffee, utensils, some basic flatware, and other dishes of various types are available. There's also a long listing of different appliances and things that are available to be borrowed from the front desk. The one that really shocked us was a rice cooker. Room rates were definitely reasonable. And even more so now that I've seen the hotel, the room that we were given, all the things. You definitely get what you pay for. I have stayed in rooms that have costed four or five even seven times more than what I paid for this one and in comparison, while this one may not seem as fancy, it definitely offered more to me and was more valuable to me because I had all the things I needed to keep my family comfortable during this trip. Oh, and did I mention? Parking here is absolutely free. The hotel is very close to the freeway on ramp as well. That makes it very nice, on and off the freeway as we please very easily. Ever you were looking for a hotel in Baton Rouge I would stay here again, without question or hesitation !

This is about the hotel bar specifically. A friend of mine came in town with her long-term…read moreboyfriend and wanted me to meet them in the hotel bar since we haven't seen each other in years. She said she had some free drink chips for drinks. Sure, it seemed as nice of a place anywhere to catch up. The hotel looks like it hasn't been updated in years, which is not a bad thing because everything looked great. It had only been years since I last been there. The Bar, however, could use a little updating. I imagined a grander hotel bar. Something Instagram whorthy, even. No such luck here. This hotel bar seemed like an afterthought, like a dive hotel bar from a movie. There's nothing wrong with that though we were just there for drinks and it's not like we haven't been to dive bars before back in our day. The bartender was way above average. Friendly, fun, very helpful. Evidently when you check into this hotel, they give you tokens for free beverages, at the bar. That's nice. They even gave me some for the road since they're not going to use them. My friend did, that is. You could order food in this bar. They give you a menu, it's only sheet of paper. They offer appetizers. My friends ended up getting some and said they were nice. Nothing jumped out at me though, so I cannot attest to them. I'm sure the hotel is great. I would love to stay there and they were happy with their rooms. There was a big event or something going on the same night. I was there. A bunch of high school kids running around in costumes. Good for them. Seemed fun. This hotel bar needs updating. It's nothing to write home about maybe it wasn't meant to be. Maybe we're lucky. It's there at all.

Stuffy hallways, weird smell, hair on the sheets, stains on the carpet, bathroom ceiling felt like it would cave in at any moment. Slow dirty and very SMELLY elevators. If we hadn't arrived so late and had such a packed schedule we would have tried to find another place to stay. only positive was breakfast, but note its a HARD 9am close..coffee was weak, eggs were fine, staff was very friendly and pleasant - the dining area was constantly being serviced and cleaned. no one told us about happy hour so we didn't take advantage of that. The workers did seem like they cared, but the hotel was really sub sub standard , an old '70s motel 6 at best. avoid if possible.

The hotel itself is clean and well kept, and the rooms are comfortable. Beds were solid and the room felt fresh. Valet was fast and efficient, and Aaron deserves a shoutout because he was consistently on point. Big plus that the hotel is dog friendly. We had our two small dogs with us and every staff member we interacted with was welcoming and relaxed about it. Having a restaurant and bar on site is also convenient, especially after a long day. The downsides are mostly about amenities. Breakfast was underwhelming. Limited options, and it did not even open at 6:30 a.m., which is frustrating if you are up early. We ended up going to another hotel just to get Starbucks. The gym is also small. It was clean, but missing basic weights, so it is not great if you actually want a real workout. Overall, not a bad stay. Friendly people, clean and comfortable rooms, and smooth valet service made it easy. The breakfast situation was the biggest miss, and the gym could use an upgrade. If they fixed the morning food options, this would be an easy recommendation.

The room design was great and felt modern and thoughtfully done. The bed was also really comfortable and honestly on par with a Westin in terms of sleep quality. Customer service was a real highlight. Everyone I interacted with, from front desk to valet, was friendly and helpful. That said, cleanliness could be improved. The carpet didn't feel fully clean, and I noticed some residue on the door handles that I had to wipe off. There's also a restaurant on-site for convenience, plus snacks available downstairs, which is a nice bonus. Overall, solid stay with great service and comfort, but a few cleanliness details that took away from an otherwise strong experience.

The staff was also super friendly. I love that they had a microwave in the vending room. That was super convenient. The only downside is that the valet parking was pretty expensive. We checked in and were sent on our way to our room. The elevator smelled like urine. When we neared our room, we saw the maid outside the adjacent room. When we entered our room, the she quickly turned her head and asked what we were doing and that this room wasn't ready, but it was her sharp unpleasant tone that caught us off guard. No worries, I told her but to please contact the front desk. She said I don't know who told yall it was ready but do you see it's not ready? Anyway we made our way back to the lobby, got another room, got in a different elevator, and noticed the disgusting odor again. We get off on our floor and it smells awful like a ranch mixed with urine. The room also smelled musty and like a wet dog. We tried to look past that but then there was also a disgusting hair ball on the floor, stains on the bedding and curtains, and the just total ick. I give one star to the kind lady at the restaurant and check-in and for the view of the Mississippi River. Unfortunately we were not comfortable at all during our stay. We felt disgusting and couldn't wait to leave.
