I feel pretty good after my 30 min massage, but I dont think I'll return. For a few reasons…read more 1) Theyre not staffed for walk-ins. I like to get massages on a whim. I dropped in, and she said it'd be an hour, so I left. That was 430pm on mon or tues. Then I returned thurs, at 1015am. She took me, and then another person showed up for a 1hr massage. When she was done with me, she said "maybe you call next time". I guess. 2) She went in reverse order, starting with my butt/legs first. Thats okay, but her technique was coarse. Im not complaining about the pressure, because I can take a hard massage. But when she used her elbows, she would go back and forth in a scraping motion, which was weird to me. Also she was ineffective in locating the tendons, instead applying hard elbows to soft tissue. 3) My shoulders needed the most attention and she barely touched them. Most people carry tension in their shoulders and back, its not a mystery. All in all, it was pricey and not great. $52 (45 plus tip) for 30 mins of mediocrity. I actually considered driving straight to oakland mall and getting another massage. And I probably would have, if it weren't for my car troubles.

This business is not a legitimate massage location, despite having "massage" in its name. The…read moretherapist explicitly stated that this is not a massage service. During the session, there was no proper massage technique--only light rubbing on the surface of the skin. The therapist then asked about touching private areas for an additional charge. I clearly told her that I came for a massage and asked her to continue with a normal massage instead. Overall, the experience was uncomfortable and stressful rather than relaxing. There was a clear lack of professional massage knowledge, and the service did not meet even basic expectations. I felt overcharged for the level of massage skill provided. I will not return to this location and do not recommend it to anyone seeking a genuine massage, unless they are specifically looking for a different type of service.

Dustin greeted us warmly and had us fill out our intake forms and told us they would be with us shortly. Dustin informed us that he would me working on me and Cassie would be working on my husband. We filled out the forms and were shortly walking into the couples room. The room was warm and inviting. We were instructed to dress down to our own comfort level on our stomachs. There are hooks and a bench to set your personal items on. Dustin reviewed my intake form and confirmed the areas for concentration for the session and I explained how I had a pinched nerve in my left shoulder that was causing some pain and numbness in my left arm, shoulder down to my hand. He explained his plan of attack to relieve some of the tension and tightness and what could be causing the nerve to be aggravated to me. He kneaded and helped relieved the tightness in my shoulder and neck area well during the session. At the end of my session my numbness had subsided and I felt more relaxed than when I had entered the session. Dustin also checked that the pressure was sufficient a couple of times during my session and told me to let him know if there was any pain or discomfort at all. I felt very comfortable and in great hands with Dustin. He is very knowledgeable about the muscles and the body as whole and explained how the tightness of muscles in the neck can cause the nerve to be aggravated and how I could massage the front of the neck muscles to provide some relief between sessions. Dustin said they would be moving to a new location near 11 and Woodward. I can't wait to see their new location and can't wait for my next session with him. If I could I would get a massage every week, that would be my life goal. Check Dustin out and you will need no other massage therapist in your life, he's that good. Deep tissue is $10 more than the standard $60 for an hour of Swedish massage.
