I recently went here for a birthday party and it was so cute! There were employees that "hosted" each birthday party. The party was in a shared party room and at first we were the only one. So it felt like a really intimate private event and we were able to play our music like we wanted to, and then toward the end of our party we had to share the space a little bit. But with the party package the hostess secured we received unlimited drinks from the fountain machine, pizza, and salad. They provided all of the dishes and cleaned up. The birthday child also received a giant card available to be signed by the guests. I don't know if this was just something that our hostess secured or if it's normally an option but she was also able to get passes with a $5 (or so) arcade card for $20 a person. The pass gave us access to unlimited activities and we could reload our arcade card if we wished. Of the activities that I recall are: Laser tag (So fun for adults and kids!), bumper cars, bumper boats, mini golf, bowling, rock climbing, and racing cars (I can't remember the actual name of it). We were not there for long enough to get to do anything more than once because we wanted to experience so much, then I bet if we went back and we went in at open we would be able to enjoy a lot. There's also a food area should you want to buy food or lunch while you are there. I don't know the rules on exiting and re-entering. read more

Boondocks in Draper is a fun place with a little bit of everything, and it's always a hit with our kids. Between the arcade, bowling, laser tag, mini golf, and other attractions, there's plenty to keep families entertained for hours. We did try hosting a birthday party here once, and unfortunately the party room experience wasn't very well organized. The room setup, food service, and overall hosting didn't meet our expectations, so we decided we'd rather just come back and enjoy the attractions on our own instead of booking another event. Even so, it's still a great family destination, and we'll definitely continue visiting for the fun activities. read more

Took 500 grandkids here (ok, 5! But it felt like 500!! I used to bring them quite often when they were very small it kept them entertained for hours and hours! They've since added the bowling alley and it is VERY NICE; the cleanest I've ever seen it. They've updated the grill. At first glance it appears dark and that it's closed due to their new lighting. I don't care for it especially with little ones it's hard to see. But the food has always been pretty good here, filling , and something for everyone! It IS expensive! I've already spent $400 but, that includes upgrading to a food pass and adding an extra hour! So 5 hours! There is a LOT to do It is a GREAT spot to escape the heat! They get a 5 star on that one! Laser tag; Both large and small go karts; bumper water boats; bowling; the new ropes course (awesome); of course the miniature golf which is always fun; and the arcade; and the grill! They won't be bored here! If there's a downside, it is that they need regular size tables and chairs to sit in, in the arcade area. Whereas now it's only bistro size tables. Hard to get on if you're short! Not safe for little ones and those of us who are vertically challenged! Very clean! Loads of fun for the whole family. Best party ever! Party hosts Corren & Elliot were the best! It was really a great value for the money

My wife and I came here 4 years ago to play some mini golf and had a blast. Fast forward to today, we came with our two boys ( 3 and 1 year old). And just like last time, we had a lot of fun. It made me wonder why it's been such a large gap of time since we have been here last. The mini golf is not expensive and is an easy way to spend an afternoon. I think they also have something where you pay 40-50 dollars and you get access to most of the facility for 4 hours. Which is a pretty good deal I think. The food here is also decent, and not too badly priced. This is a great place to bring kids of any age. read more

We went there for a 6 years old's birthday party and had a lot of fun. It was clean and there was a lot of room to run around with lots of fun options. We enjoyed the pizza, car racing, and water tube bumper station. We rate this place 4 rather than 5 stars just because there were some issues with the ticket cards and some of the machines especially the big ball claw game as they were a bit clunky. read more

DO NOT DO THE GO KARTS HERE. The employees are incredibly passive-aggressive and rude to customers. Everyone received warnings because the current race had other people bumping into each other. Even if you didn't do anything and avoided it the best you could you would still get a mark on your pass and even kicked from go karting. It was a huge disappointment. I spoke to a staff manager about the incident, but she didn't seem to care much when talking to him about it. So, if you're willing to be yelled at for no reason, bullied by employees, and feel uncomfortable and unhappy, then this is the place for you. read more

I've been bringing my son to Boondocks for years-we held his 8th birthday party here...and he's now 19 years old. It's been fun watching the evolution of the arcade over time-they steadily improve the attractions and the food options, making it a premier location for family fun entertainment. There are arcade games right when you enter along with a counter where you can redeem tickets/tokens for prizes. Outside, you'll find mini golf, go carts and other fun activities. My son likes to buy a day pass and do all of the them. There is plenty of parking outside, although if it's your first time visiting, it's easy to pass it from the main road-or, turn into the office complex prematurely. Easy to burn through $100 in less than an hour, which is ridiculous because Nickel City will give you the same amount of fun for a fraction of the price. Waited AN HOUR for the ropes course because nobody monitors the time/people on it and it was the only thjng my kids really wanted to do, just to have them close it down right before we reached the front because it started to drizzle. We thought a day at Boondocks would be a treat to celebrate the end of the school year. However the cost was going to be very expensive. A young child (under 48inches) must ride with an adult on the bumper boats and go karts. Therefore both the adult and child must purchase tickets. When our tickets were totaled the price was $117 for 2 children and 1 adult. Needless to say we passed on Boondocks. read more

My grandson was invited to a birthday party here, and I went with him. Neither one of us have been here before so we didn't know what to expect. We waited, and waited, and waited. The Birthday boy never showed up. Finally I asked an employee where they were having the B-Day party. They looked up the list of party's for today, and there wasn't a reservation for the B-Day boy. I thought well maybe they are just meeting here, and not purchasing a party pack. We walked around, and never could find them. When all of a sudden someone came out of the office, and said that they found the reservation, but it was actually for the next day! Who has a birthday party for 7 year olds on a Sunday? What! My grandson wanted to stay, and play the games, which for me, on my budget, are a little expensive, so I told him he would have to wait until tomorrow when he came back for the party. After talking to the employee saying what a disappointment it was, and yes it was my fault for not reading the fine print. The employee must have felt sorry for us, because he gave us each a pass to play a few games. That is what I call GREAT customer service. Well done, and it made my grandson happy. So many games to choose from. We never made it outside so I can't speak for the activities out there, but inside there was a good variety, and we used up our pass fast! I suggest buying an all day pass, or even a half day pass, because you'll want to play the games more than once. Grandson wasn't happy that we had to leave, but I reminded him that he would be back tomorrow for the real B-Day party. He was ok with that. Boondocks is really in the boonies. Far by the point of the mountain, draper way. Plenty of parking and space to go cart driving. Food is pricey and the cafe is not very good. $30 for a three hour pass to mini golf, laser tag, boat ride, and two go cart race tracks. If you go early the attractions aren't manned so you have to wait. Annoying. All in all fun place if we lived out here but not worth the gas for little attractions and the big arcade with similar games to nickelmania. Ok place once in a while. read more

My son was turning 30 and I needed a place to throw a Surprise Birthday Party for him. I know you're probably thinking 30 is a bit too old for a Boondocks Party but my motive was to recreate and combine all of the Parties he had growing up. It turned out to be a wonderful place for a Party. His Guests had a great time. They could act like kids again because there were lots of kids there anyway so nobody noticed. The Party included 3 hours of unlimited Play, a reserved table and two Pizzas and drinks for all. The best part was working with the staff at Boondocks. First there was Lee, a beautiful and proper Lady from London complete with her beautiful accent. She went way above and beyond to help me and accommodate my requests. Next was Josh the Kitchen Manager he checked on us and when it started to rain cats and dogs he gave them all arcade credits since the outdoor activities were closed. My son was Happy and Surprised and his friends thanked me. From a Mom perspective it was great to turn it all over to Boondocks and they pulled off a perfect party. read more

if you wanna go go karting dont come here go to k1 speed. i came here for my friends bday like last year, im gonna leave it simple for you guys. they are stupidly strict about gokarts one bump and theyre giving you all these lectures. they have a bunch of stupid rules me and my friend got banned from go karting, we even argued with the manager because we werent the only ones bumping, there was a dad going ham pushing all the kids. how are you guys gonna promote go karting , but expect no bumping . if people are trying to pass eachother and all the go karts go at the same speed what do you expect? stupid rules just go to k1, they expect everyone to go slow . and are stupidly strict about like 16 go karts they can repair and maintenance. maybe put some money in the business and you guys would have more customers lol, i have 0 respect for management. we just got looked at as stupid kids, when we were tring to get a point across. its whatever heres my review read more

This place is fantastic. It has very cool arcade games, the kind that you sit two people and have a huge screen to play the game. It has an awesome playground for little ones. They have great go-karts to ride and a 3D virtual ride if you rather stay inside. They also have a cool laser tag area too. Mini golf is an option outside, but it was too cold today. We ordered food and we could have the option of getting two appetizers and a free $10 arcade card. This was a cool perk. Our food came out hot and service was awesome. Our quick bites were delicious, we share the street tacos, cheese sticks and the brownie with ice cream. Tips: 1. Come early to avoid crowds. As they open is best. 2. Take advantage of the food and get free arcade cards. 3. Tuesday is the cheapest day to come $14 vs. $29 4. Of you have a wee one. Be prepared to sit by the playhouse for a while. Spent the day here with the kids to make up for some botched plans earlier in the week. This was their first experience go karting. Even though it was cold, they loved driving around and racing. Arcade was a lot of fun and food was decent. Negatives: - XD experience could have been better, glasses were horrible, graphics sucked, not sure what we were doing most of the time - Laser tag line was long and didn't explain properly what to do. We did a few different things when we were here. The course was empty (on a Sunday around 1) which was great. The mini golf was not well landscaped, very rickety. We love coming to boondocks. We just recently took our extended family from out of state and it was a blast. We had a blast!!! For an afternoon of fun with three boys and an opportunity to get out of the heat this is a great place. I did 100 tokens at the arcade for each boy, it was $75 and then $10 a piece for them to go ride the bumper boats. We were there for 2.5 hours and all three of them from 7, 13, and 20 had a blast! It was appropriate for all ages, and even the grandparents watching them navigate the bumper boats laughed and had a good time. On Thursdays they have a deal for $30 for a full four hours of all attractions which is a steal for a good time. The facility was super clean, the food was definitely kid friendly (typical event pricing), and there was something fun to do for all ages. Think...laser tag, go cart races, bumper boats, miniature golf, and a full on arcade. We had orange sherbet on the way out as a treat and it was super refreshing and the kids loved it. I am giving 3 stars because I guess I am spoiled on going to "Scandia" We originally went here for miniature golf, although I did love the pick your own golf ball section, that was about all I was enjoying for miniature golf. There were no real challenges, or fun obstacles. Was pretty boring. We also played some video games, the amount of games they had were not many, but it was enough for us to spend $25 at. We went to celebrate my brothers birthday and played in the arcade and all (which btw is expensive), but we hadn't eaten all day so we said "let's try out the food" and boy do we regret it!!! Me and my boyfriend came in on a busy Saturday and had an amazing time! Every person that worked there was smiling and super kind, and the management was amazing! We had soooo much fun on the go karts, playing mini golf, and the rope coarse! The restaurant was also amazing and we received amazing service! The chicken pesto flat bread was AMAZING! Half the arcade machines did not function. They were either turned off all together or took your credit but didn't start. Both me and my partner received food poisoning from the pizza that was served. On top of that the soda machine was completely flat. The price was fine enough but the entire establishment just seemed really run down. They were "renovating" for several months and it's clear their budget was focused on new attractions instead of repairing the old ones. Let me paint the the abysmal picture for you... The evening started well enough with a wonderful restaurant staff who were kind and attentive. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am with the rest of the night and staff. We were there for my nephew's birthday party. He is 10 and has special needs. He had just finished driving the go karts with his cousins when he accidentally bumped the person in front of him as he pulled in to stop. Cassie, the girl manning the go karts, screamed at him for a full 30 seconds, and kept going after he started crying. Granted, she couldn't have known he had special needs, but there is no reason on this earth to yell at a child that way. It was horrific. He was hysterical, shaking, and terrified. My sister went over to explain his situation and to inform her that she was not to yell at children. Cassie REFUSED to back down and said over and over that it was his fault for hitting the car in front of him. We soon had Ashlen, "the manager" as she calls herself, involved and she also refused to take ownership of the situation. We explained over and over that, regardless of the fact that this particular child has special needs, there is NEVER a reason to scream at a child. I have never seen this level of incompetence in my life. It was absolutely disgusting behavior. They made excuse after excuse for their ineptitude and made no amends until they were asked to, and even then, it was only Ashlen who did so. My nephew was so terrified that he refused to ride the go karts again. Well done, Boondocks. What a way to treat a special needs child on his 10th birthday. We've all seen the huge arch on the east side of I-15 driving from slc county to Draper, but what is it?!? Boondocks! I've heard of this family center, but the thought of a bunch of whiny crying kids running around in circles made me cringe. We came during grand opening weekend and it was pretty empty so pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. Everything is clean! Bathrooms, arcade area, mini golf course, and the dining room. In the arcade, there are employees waiting for you to finish your game to wipe down right after you. For $40 a person, we were allowed $10 arcade games, laser tag, race cars, bumper boats, mini golf, and AYCE buffet. The arcade games are so much fun and that $10 disappears quick! I was a little hesitant about the food, but the staff allows you 4 items and each item is individually packaged. Seems like a waste of plastic containers, but I appreciate the safety precautions they're doing. Social distancing is practiced here. Be safe and have fun! I know I had a blast! read more

There are some things people of all ages could enjoy but the target market is def pre teen and under. I did enjoy the boat bump ride because you get wet and they give you a decent amount of time on the ride! The arcade section is alright... nothing too exciting and the XD in the dark game is entertaining. The wait lines for the outdoor rides are long (or maybe I'm just super impatient lol) The food: my boyfriend ordered some nachos which were $4.50 and they were just cheese and nachos. They weren't that great tbh. And we didn't want to buy any food there. Customer service: I thought the staff was great. Dallin was the cashier tonight (8/18) and he was cheerful and made us feel welcomed. The guy at the boat ride was helpful in helping us pull back to dock and at the go karts the staff was very alert and attentive especially when it came to seat belts which was great! Concerns/Problem: the problem we had was we bought the unlimited pack $30 each. Meaning we got the mini golf, $5 card arcade and other things. When my boyfriend and I tried doing the mini golf and get the little ball it said we didn't have a balance on our card. We were stunned because we paid $30! There was a huuuuuge line for purchasing cards and we didn't feel like waiting so we decided to leave but seriously! It was included in our package why was it not allowing us to get the golf balls? This was our first visit! We had a blast!!! Oh, our kids enjoyed it as well. They had boats, and go carts my 6 yr old could drive by herself. My 4 yr old loved riding the 2 seater go carts. The 2 golf courses where very well maintained. The Arcade had great up to date games. We didn't have any issues with them. The $10 bounce back is definitely worth it! Great to cater to GLUTEN FREE NEEDS. My husband and I went there for his work party. I inquired about their gf options and was told they have a gluten free pizza and I could have any toppings. The pizza was awesome! Majority of his work was having the buffet which included hotdogs and hamburgers. While waiting for my pizza I asked the staff if the hamburger patties were gf. The worker thought they were gluten free but wanted to quick check. She came out and told me they were. So I took one and went back to my seat. A few minutes later the same coworker came to personally find me. She learned that those particular patties were not gf due to the gravy/juice the patties were in. She went out of her way to come and find me!!!! I was super impressed that she went out of her way to let me know. Staff is awesome and very good about working with gluten allergies!! read more
