How the times have changed! Lately I've been going back here even though I no longer live in the area. Since the end of Covid I have not had one good haircut here. None of the barbers seems to know how to give a normal, regular haircut. They can shave your head or give you a crew-cut, but "regular" haircuts are just not an option. Either they neglect the sides and leave you with straggly hair around the ears (!), or they screw up the back and put a line in it after you tell them "no line," or they leave weirdly long, uncut strands here and there in front that you have to fix yourself when you get home. The last straw was the guy who works by the window. On my most recent visit (which will also be my last EVER), he yanked and pulled very aggressively with the comb, pulling out hair by the roots. As if this wasn't painful enough, he placed the comb at my hairline, pressed down as hard as he could, then gouged it backwards causing EXTREME pain. I decided to "be a man" and say nothing but the pain was out of this world -- never had anything like that in my life. When I got home and shampood, the sting was so painful I realized he had cut the scalp in several places and I was bleeding. It took TWO WEEKS for the wounds to heal and the scabs to fall off. Explain to me how a middle aged man who is in the business of cutting hair could be SO STUPID as to not know how to comb it without tearing it out by the roots or carving bloody scratches into your scalp. Either he is a moron or he was giving me "the treatment" so I would never return, which is strange since I always tip $3 and am very nice to them no matter how inept the haircut. UNBELIEVABLE. Again, I will NEVER go back to this place!

However, when unavailable we've had others cut our hair and they did great jobs as well. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. They offer you a drink while waiting which is a nice touch. The hair wash products, whatever they use, are awesome. Overall, if looking for a solid barber this place won't let you down.

Alrighty, so I finally have some time to sit back and get some old reviews taken care of…read more From my previous review, I had a rather slighted experience... but to make it better, I was contacted by the manager of Wiseguys. He had apologized for my previous experience, and wanted to make things right. This was the first time that I had been contacted from a Yelp review, so I was at least to give them a shot. He had offered for me to come in and have a free massage to make up for the last one. That, and he was going to have his best masseuse available to take care of me. I said that I was very pleased that a manager would contact me after such a review. I came in, and was greeted by him, and was introduced to my masseuse... and the massage started. It was a good massage. It was definitely better than my previous one. She had apologized because she had heard about the experience I endured there, and said that she'd do anything to make this one the best possible. Needless to say, the massage was very good. When I came out of the massage room... I was greeted once again by the manager, and then the store owner... who presented me with a gift card to get a free hair cut. And I'll be damned if I can find that card. I thought I had put it in my wallet, but I cannot find that card. lol. Thanks to Wise Guys for trying to make things right. I think companies that actually pay attention to what people say is top notch.
