Went early-ish on a Tuesday evening around 5:30. The space is small and was great while we could hear each other. It got busy and hard to hear, but...whatever. Not a big deal- that was the only negative thing said by anyone in our group. My son got the chicken. He says "it was perfect. It was perfect. It brought a happy smile on my face as I ate it." My partner and her mom had the pork chop. "Yum." " well I went in there not thinking I was hungry, but I cleaned my plate because it was delicious." I had the steak, medium. Perfectly cooked, portions were perfectly sized. When I finished mine I ate the capers and lemons off someone else's plate. We got the brownie dessert and demolished it. Atmosphere was described to me as 'Fayetteville Funky." I'd say that they have no pretense, across the board. There's a sense of humor to the place that makes it very clear that while they care about atmosphere, their attention is on the food. Uncomplicated but not simple. I understand they change their menu regularly and I'd be eager to see what they do going forward. Would've liked to try the jerk salmon and the crawfish etouffee. Will be back. read more

As we remembered, the service and the food were wonderful. Our server, Angel, was kind and helpful and I followed their recommendation and ordered the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken.). We dined in the main dining room and were able to hear each other over the other diners. At our age, that is a real plus! If you've never been to Leverett Lounge, go soon! Such a fun and quirky place! Decor was awesome. Don't forget to grab bubbles from the bathroom. I wanted to try all their small plates! Everything looked so good. We had a table of four and ordered the green beans, beet hummus and the fried grits (Mel's Diner) to start. All were SO good. Mel's Diner seems to be a staple and I see why- would order it over and over again. For mains we split the KFC and two orders of the Big Iron steak. We did half cauliflower and half chicken for the KFC. It was yummy. I liked the chicken better but both were great. The steak was cooked perfectly! We loved all of it. Next time I want to just order every single small plate so we can try them all but you can't go wrong with whatever you order. The most magical staple of Fayetteville a hole in the wall that's not really a hole in the wall. Your favorite low key spot for clean and cultured food. The menu somehow hits every genre with food and drinks. I've Been coming here for almost a decade and they never seize to disappoint. Never gonna break the bank by trying multiple things that are quality. I'm not a drinker but damn they make it so guilt free with the carefully curated drinks that can also be mocktails. Once a creative and quality restaurant, the experience was not the same on my most recent visit. The K.F.C. had been a signature dish, but it is now an oversized portion of chicken, with little texture and a slop of bitter, unbalanced sauce, accompanied with some flavorless sides. It was such a letdown that the quality of this dish would get out of the kitchen. To top it off, the interior was hot and uncomfortable. My first thought upon entering the Leverett Lounge was that I was being dragged into yet another of the bougie hellholes that permeate the NWA restaurant scene. Boy was I wrong. The new menu was a few days old, and there were hiccups here and there with timings, but nothing died in the window, and what was on the menu made it onto the plate. If it read delicious, it was delicious. There's a lot of good fusion cooking taking place in their kitchen. Who in their right mind looks at a piece of salmon and decides it could use a little harissa? I ordered it on a dare. And it was delicious. The fish cookery was spot on, and the harissa only added to the succulence of a well cooked piece of fish. Who would have guessed. The KFC is not Koreatown popping, but it's the closest I've found in NWA and is my "go back for again," dish at the Leverett Lounge. Love the decor, by the way. read more

I had not been to Leverett Lounge for a bit . We recently returned and I was reminded how much I enjoy this place. Their attention to local fresh ingredients and care in preparation is evident. Recently we had the Brussels sprouts which are always fantastic. The special was redfish on a bed of sautéed vegetables, and the server said the fish had been poached before finishing in a pan for super moist flesh and a nice brown crust. I can attest to that, as half of the large portion ended up being a doggy bag, and the fish even held up to being gently reheated. Warm cobbler in a skillet with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream was the perfect ending of this fabulous dinner. I feel like their pricing is very reasonable for this level of dining. Went here for my birthday and it was phenomenal! To start with, the aesthetic and vibes are immaculate; quirky (in the good way), intimate, warm, and welcoming. It's a small restaurant with very limited seating, so I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. We ordered 3 cocktails, 4 small plates, 3 entrees, and 2 desserts; all of which were amazing ( $200 including tip for 3 people). I highly recommend asking about and ordering their soup of the day! *food not pictured: Mel's Diner, Thus Musubi the Place, Soup of the Day, Queen Bee, Rosa's Cantina, Peachy Keen, and Pure Joy Sweet Brown Vanilla ice cream with fresh fruit. I love the ambiance of Leverett. Every time we visit, the menu changes its items and never fails to satisfy our tastebuds. The service is lightning fast, never an empty glass, and food is also served momentarily after the orders are placed (which my stomach and I love). This visit I tried the Snapper while my other 2 table guests tried the Caesar salad and hummus as well as the KBBQ chicken, one of the most popular and consistent menu items. Nothing on the menu displeased me, and everything was top-notch! This is always a great spot to stop in at. Absolutely love the vibe of this eclectic gem! The service was absolutely amazing and the food was craveable! My husband and I shared the Mel's Diner which are fried garlic grits with a roulade sauce (shut the front door) and the Beetnik which is warm pita with beet hummus that has fried chick peas on top that take it to another level. Then we shared the KFC which I don't know that I will ever order anything different from there because it was delicious. I may try the cauliflower next time because yum! Food and drinks were good. Our dinner group had trouble reserving a table because we were a party of 6. (They wouldn't reserve for over 4 persons) We did walk-in at opening to try to secure a table and were told they could seat us but we had to vacate in a hour. Waitstaff was mixed - our server was great, additional server was not so polite due to the table situation. We had drinks, appetizers and dinner- and tipped well; but felt that they could have been more accommodating for three couples wishing to support their establishment. No complaints on any part of the meal, and atmosphere was great. We understood seating is limited (it's a small space) but the lack of hospitality really left a bad taste in our mouths when we had hoped for such a great night with friends supporting a local restaurant. read more

I came here from out of town on a work trip and sat at the small bar they have overlooking the kitchen. It was a small, cozy place and perfect after a long travel day. I had the hot girl summer drink, sultan tofu dinner (at the recommendation of the staff, because it was hard to choose) and the vegan strawberry cake. It was easily the best meal I've had on the road in awhile and in addition, I enjoyed talking to the bartender Gracen, who despite being completely swamped with drinks, was able to talk Arkansas baseball with a stranger and get my order in quickly. He talked me into the cake, which I did not regret. Great option for anyone looking for a healthy and unique meal or some great drinks.
