Let me start by saying: When I found out that I would need to replace the old, rotten hardwoods throughout half of my house, the task seemed insurmountable. Not only did I need to rip out those old floors, but there was seventy five year old mastic attached to the concrete prohibiting me from pouring the concrete I wanted onto my floors. I came to Walley Masonry for help, to see if there was anything we could do. Tyshawn, without batting an eye, said he could get it done. From a personal standpoint, Tyshawn is an upstanding individual. He respected me and my wishes for the project, and treated the project as if it was his own home he was working on. Not only that, but as all things are in construction, there were several hurdles in our way when removing the mastic, as it was extremely stubborn. Even with remedy after remedy not working, Tyshawn never gave up on making sure the job was done correctly. From a business perspective, Tyshawn is hardworking, committed, and dedicated to the project he is working on. He put in long hours, working well into the night, to get the project done. Whether it be from staying late stripping the mastic off the concrete, pouring the concrete, or making sure to take the extra time to pay fine attention to the details that otherwise may have been missed, Tyshawn made sure that the job was not only done, but that it was done right. This is my first negative review of any business but Vinny of StoneTech of Albany has given me no…read morechoice. He did nice work of bringing my patio back to life and antiquing it again and then sealing it. However, when he caulked the edges, for some reason he taped over the caulk and then left it to bake in the hot sun, rather than removing it the next day as he had promised. I called him reminding him about removing the tape for almost three weeks. By the time he sent someone the tape was baked to the caulk and the caulk came off with the tape. Instead of his workman replacing the caulk, he just left. I called Vinny many time about him coming back to replace the missing caulk and he kept promising he would come and never showed up. After about twelve phone calls to him, I told him he was leaving me no choice other than to write a negative review unless he showed up to replace the caulk. He had asked me to write a positive review. He has never showed up again. The missing caulk has put my house in jeopardy of flooding, as he well knows. I paid him, in good faith, that he would removed the tape the next day. A word to any future customers, DON'T BELIEVE HIM!!!!
