Throughout the process, there were repeated no-shows and canceled appointments, usually with an excuse for why he couldn't make it. It became very frustrating because I couldn't rely on him to keep scheduled appointments. I paid for slate roof repairs, but the roof still leaks, and slates have continued to fall off after the work was completed. The issues I hired him to fix remain unresolved. After more than a year of trying to get the work corrected, I have decided to pursue the matter in small claims court. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Mike's Roofing Repair and Carpentry.

He called 12/5 to cancel because he had about 3" of snow, asking how much I got which was about an inch. Made another appointment for Saturday, 12/6 to arrive between 9:30-10am and never showed up or called. To this day, 12/10/24, no call, no apology for wasting my whole day waiting for him! As this would have been not only a repair and/or roof job and possibly siding, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth and will never use someone this inconsiderate.

I have cracks and depressions in different areas already! This was the first time we paved our driveway. It was just crush for years and we decided to spend the money to pave it. We got quoted from several different contractors and Tri-city was paving our neighbors driveway so we decided to go with them. They were a bit unprofessional yelling at each other when doing the job. Apparently there were some disagreements. They underestimated the amount of paving they needed and ended up having to get an additional truckload. I think they tried to squeeze what they had over a broader area than they should have. They left a very visible seam in one section and told us the sealcoating would take care of it. That is where some of the cracks have appeared. We had weeds coming up along the edge of pavement and a significant depression in one section after the first summer. This year we have visible cracks. My advice is to go with another contractor!

He even used the extra asphalt to repair an existing walkway at no extra charge. He treated his employees with respect and it shows by the way they work for him. I did the research and talked to 4 companies before choosing Pregent and then .... at least a dozen other houses got the benefit. When I was getting the quote from Joe, my neighbor across the street and one a couple houses down also asked for quotes. Then, when they were doing the work, people came out of the woodwork to ask them to do their driveways too. My new driveway is incredible. It was so worn down the dirt was coming through at the end. They fully replaced it, expanded it to be double width, and even put in a really nice Cambridge paver walkway to my front door. It totally transformed the look of my house. They got all the work done in two days and were really well organized in that they were able to simultaneously time it to stagger the different phases of paving and do multiple driveways at once. They had at least a dozen guys which made them really efficient.
