As a vegetarian, I was surprised and happy that they had lots of food options for me to eat. Beans and Rice was my favorite truck! But for my BBQ loving friend- he was VERY disappointed. There was only ONE BBQ truck we could find. And there was a rib eating contest. Other than that, no other BBQ. Which wouldn't have been a big deal if it wasn't in the name of the festival. The live music was great. We didn't know it was on a hill and we didn't bring chairs so unfortunately we had to sit in the grass. I was disappointed there weren't any chairs for rent and as a result had to sit in the grass to enjoy the music. Was not happy with the alcohol selection. Four beers on tap- 2 Fat Tires, a Pilsner and a Voodoo Ranger. Margaritas, Knob Creek and Tito's. Not much of an alcohol selection. All in all, I would probably only come back if I won free tickets again. I ended up spending around $70 for being there for 4 hours.

Go see this guy! From the lawn you can NOT see the stage! The pitch of the lawn isn't high enough to provide you even a glimpse. I noticed that all 100 lawn ticket holders were grouped into a tiny little pocket which provided a peek (IF everyone below was seated and you were standing)! Obviously they had been there before. Very unfair to even offer lawn admission unless you state visibility is next to nil. I ran into a friend who switched tickets with me for about a half-hour who had seats on the aisle in the 4th row. Note to those purchasing (seated) tickets, and down front. TINY HINEY! The chairs are tiny folding chairs zip-tied together! More importantly, Ives staff apparently doesn't care if people from the back of the venue (seated area) run down and fill in the aisles closer to the stage! These dancing idiots ruined my experience and certainly those of others going back at least 10 more rows. My friend later said he could hear people in front of him complaining and even watched a fight almost break out. This falls on people just being rude and disrespectful, but Security (what exists) does need to step in and keep the back half of the venue from rushing down and filling in the aisles! Concessions? Ice Cream, Hot Dogs, Seafood (?) and Beer. Let me think, did I forget anything? NO!

The pricing is very affordable and the space is perfect. He allowed us to decorate the night before and arrive early before the party as well. The views inside, depending on where you are seated, are wonderful. The food was reasonably priced and excellent. My friend joined us, begrudgingly, since she thought it would be a real dive. She loved her seafood dinner and was so glad she came. The drinks are basic but fair priced (no fancy Margaritas or Mojitos here) and the server was very good. They also have music on certain days so we will be back after a day spent at the marina.

The catering is excellent. I've catered many events from here. Food is really good. The docks have a good sense of comradery. People look out for each other. I've had people personally bail me out on the water. Glad to support a local business.
