I saw online that the business is up for sale, so that may explain the lack of warmth. While the sign on the door said open M-Sat, the shop was not open Thursday, Friday or Saturday. I left messages on the answering machine asking to please let me know when they opened again. I happened to drive by at 3 this afternoon (Monday) and saw the lights were on. Mabel is no longer there. They no longer have anyone who can finish needlepoint belts. They cannot give advice about how many more inches to stitch, in case it would be wrong for whatever finisher I might locate. They do not sell embroidery floss. They do listen to their voicemails, but not until the end of the day, so didn't receive the several I had left. They do still have a beautiful array of fibers, but overall the trip was a waste of time.
