Dr. Schwartz has since retired since my last review and the office seems, well, different. A little bit more faced pace, but with the same friendly faces I've known for years. Thank God for Leda. She has to win the best dental hygienist ever award. The care she gives her patients is above and beyond. I don't know what I would have done without her for the past 15 years. The BEST! I have been to many different dentists over the years and this one is the absolute best! I been coming here for about 4-5 years and the consistently in their work ethics is phenomenal. The staff here is really welcoming and nice and send gentle reminders for your appts which helps! The team here is also very knowledgeable on their work and is always happy to answer any questions! Just had my 6 month checkup/cleaning tonight and I walked into a really nice surprise. Dr. Schwartz is not only the greatest Dentist, but it just go's to show that he listens very carefully to all his patients wants and needs. By popular demand, his office now has FIOS!! That's right, a big 30" Flat Screen TV is in the waiting room and 19" Flat Screen TV's are in all examination rooms. No more missed sports for the guys and no more missing parts of IDOL, Bones, House, etc. for the ladies. I now have something to look forward when I'm going to see my favorite Dentist. Dr. Lorraine Sirgany takes the cake for the worst dentist on Long Island. Not only was I bullied into getting dental work with no explanation as to why I was getting repeat work only days later, I was met with "I need you to make a decision, I don't have time for this." I've had plenty of major dental work over the past few years and Dr. Lorraine Sirgany drilling 1 tooth caused me to experience pain worse than child birth. The front desk women are sweet and helpful, but my horrible experience with Dr. Lorraine Sirgany has honestly left me scared for life. read more

Dr Schwartz is a fantastic dentist with great bedside manner. He's uplifting and funny and he puts you at ease. His work is top rate. I've had fillings and porcelain crowns done over the years with great success. I'd highly recommend him. I'm a new patient. As soon as I walked in I was greeted in a very courteous manner. The staff followed Covid-19 protocols from beginning to end and that made me feel at ease. Leda, the dental hygienist was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She explained every single procedure and educated me about my teeth, gums and overall mouth health. Leda, was very sweet and gentle. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and less anxious. She's really amazing. I was able to make a follow up appointment and other appointments for my families without any issues. The dentist was very professional and nice. My first cleaning was back in March/April. I was pretty sure I reviewed them since I was so happy with my cleaning but I just realized I did not. I can't speak for any dental work but I can say the dentist was pleasant and welcoming. Let's talk about my cleaning! Lena was absolutely throughout and amazing. She took her time with me which I can appreciate since I have had 10 minute cleanings in the past! That can't be a good cleaning. I also really loved the office, updated and clean. The front desk staff were wonderful! which was also a surprise since usually they are miserable! Went to this dentist for the first time with my kids and wife and it was an aweful experience. Jeffrey's demeanor is aweful and also going there for the first time on a consultation, it was a poor experience. Jeffrey never knew that I am a oncologist and my wife is a cardiologist. Total rip off - the billing department does stuff behind the scenes to manipulate the insurance charges and your bill. You will spend more money in the long run for work that is mediocre at best. Totally bait n switch and they won't explain any of the charges until you review the bills with insurance and magically you get "$100 back" after multiple "errors" AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

The Pros: Nice clean office, state-of-the-art, good parking/ location, friendly staff. The Cons: I did get a high pressure sales pitch when I needed some work done on my tooth. Office said it accepted my insurance as 'in network' but they accepted it as partial payment in reality. The result: I did go to another dentist in Queens who I trusted and he was able to fix the tooth without the 7 visits and $1000+ out of pocket estimated by Dr. Schwartz. I don't know the quality of Dr. Schwartz' work BUT I do know that some of the Invasive procedures he recommended were not necessary for my tooth, which is scary and is the reason I am writing this review. read more

I was sent to Dr. Jeffrey Schwartz in Levitown by another dentist who said that Schwartz had the state of the art equipments for what I was looking to get done. At my appointment the front office staff was very courteous and made me feel comfortable so I was not prepared for this rude scrooge who greeted me after a long wait in the dentist chair. He looked at my xrays provided by the other dentist and told me that he is not sure that he is the one to do the job as what I needed to be done would be time consuming for him and he believes too costly for me. He implicated that he was not sure I could afford it and recommended I see someone else. I proceeded to ask him a few questions to which he rudely told me I was done and asked his front office personnel to give me the information for this other dentist who would best answer the questions I had. I left there feeling humiliated and did not contact the doctor he recommended. I still have not gotten the work done because I am scared of ever having another experience like this one. Dr. Schwartz runs a wonderful practice! His staff is professional, helpful, and friendly from the time you're greeted to the time you leave. I usually see Leda (registered dental hygienist) for routine things and she is great and reflects Dr. Schwartz's great bedside manner and knowledge! Not only does the office utilize the most up-to-date equipment, but they also have great systems in place in their front office to help remind us "busy people" when we're due to be seen again! This is the ABSOLUTE WORST DENTIST's OFFICE IN THE WORLD. They don't even deserve a star. My dentist had retired and recommended to come to this office. I was due for a 6-month routine cleaning and checkup. The woman who performed my X-rays was very nice and kept telling me how perfect my teeth looked and she would be surprised if I had a cavity. When the dental hygienist came it was the complete opposite. She said, "I normally would have to charge you $40 for the oral cancer exam, but today I will waive it since your a new customer" as if she was doing me the favor... meanwhile I had no choice whether I wanted an oral cancer exam or not. She then said I had 3 cavities and needed to get them filled ASAP, which I found odd considering I've only had 1 cavity in my life. I GOT 2 SECOND OPINIONS AFTERWARDS, BOTH OF WHICH SAID I HAVE ZERO CAVITIES AND MY TEETH ARE PERFECT. THIS OFFICE IS FRAUDULENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I will never recommend this place to anyone. I went there for cleaning and they told me I needed to do scaling. They told me the insurance will cover certain percentage and I had to pay the rest so I said ok. I paid my part even before the procedure started. I was suppose to go for a second treatment but I had to cancel that appointment due to work. two weeks later, I received a later from a collection agency saying I owe this place money. I called and I was told the insurance didn't pay so I had to bare the cost. Meanwhile my insurance told me they are part of their in network so they were not suppose to charged me in the first place. My problem with them was taking me to collection agency without notifying me of any outstanding bill first. That was very unprofessional of them. read more

Best dental experience ever! I hadn't been to the dentist in years because I had so much stress, worry and anxiety about it. Dr. Schwartz and his staff gave me a completely different experience - The front desk staff was friendly and had all my paper work ready to go. I was taken in almost immediately and not left in the waiting room with my nerves. Dr. Schwartz was patient with my fears, walked me through everything, talked to me about my treatment plan, and really treated me more like a friend than a patient. I have been going to Dr. Jeffery Schwartz's office every 6 months to get my teeth cleaned for years. Jill does a great job and I highly recommend her. Her attention to detail and professionalism is outstanding. Over a year ago while undergoing a cleaning, Jill noticed a crack developing in a large tooth that was filled years ago by another dentist when I lived in Brooklyn. She told me that I needed to take of it. I said I would, and never did. The next time I went for a cleaning she noticed it was getting worse and I felt it was worse, but once again I did nothing. Well, the other day Jill's prediction came true and my tooth cracked. After each cleaning, Dr. Schwartz would come in and examine your mouth. He had the same opinions as Jill and, as of yesterday, that was about the extent of my dealing with Dr. Schwartz. When my tooth cracked and it was not a small break - it probably was almost half of my tooth, I called the office and luckily, I was able to get an appointment late the next day. Dr. Schwartz examined my cracked tooth. He was not happy and after an x-ray he uttered the words no patient ever wants to hear "I'm sorry, you are going to need a root canal" I have undergone a root canal before, many many years ago, and it left a permanent impression in my subconscious! All I can say is, 12 hours after the procedure and after taking a few Advil, I AM PAIN FREE!!!!! Dr. Schwartz had the most gentle of touches and before I knew it was done with only the most minor of discomfort. It was as pain free a root canal as a root canal could be. Thank you Dr. Schwartz. I highly recommend Dr. Schwartz and his office for all your dental needs. MB read more

Office is clean, new and professional. Staff told me my son needed new sealants it would take at least 45 minutes for 6 sealants. He walked out in 15 minutes. Needless to say, two fell off the next day. They wouldn't replace them. I said I wanted a different assitant to apply new ones and they said they would have to charge me!!!! read more

BEST TO READ THIS AND BEWARE UP FRONT: having used this office for prior services over the past 4-5 years, i was appalled by the following business practice. My initial visit this year was a sign of bad to worse. The office insurance staff had not updated my insurance plan and therefore was requesting twice the deductible due upon services rendered. When i disputed the amount they insisted on payment of incorrect amount prior to me leaving the office, even though i knew the amount was incorrect. I paid the amount and confirmed the correct deductible when i went home. i immediately went back to office and requested a refund, they said it would take a couple of weeks to get the refund and it will have to come from the dental insurance company due to over payment of deductible, REALLY. The following week after must frustration, the office manager reimbursed us. NOW the fun begins. My wife had seen Dr. Schwartz for initial consult, xrays and a plan was spoken about. Due to a business conflict my wife had called 24 hours prior to her next appointment to cancel and what do you think happened. The receptionist that answered the phone read my wife the riot act for cancelling and how could you do this in such short notice, we schedule time for one patient at a time and this is not acceptable why cannot you make it. my wife was made to feel guilty and spoken down to and made to feel like she did something terribly wrong. I had spoken to the office manager and she admitted the receptionist was inexperienced and should not have handled the situation like that. I explained to the office manager, a simple I'm sorry you won't be able to make the appointment when is good to reschedule, nothing like that happened. It was like an all out lashing for cancelling. So fast forward, the office manager said this will never happen again, what can she do to earn our trust and have us return as patients. I listened and was reconsidering UNTIL, we received a letter directly signed by Dr. Jeffrey Schwartz reprimanding my wife for cancelling and we this is unacceptable, I should be charging you for the lost fees, and this time could have been used by another patient. ARE YOU SERIOUS? MY DECISION WAS MADE. I guess it's all about the money rather than the patient. Luckily this is 1 of only 2000 dentist offices to bring my business to, I requested my full dental records to be sent directly to me, which was another combative issue. Aren't they my records and shouldn't I be entitled to have them? FYI: I Have not received to date. BEWARE of the cancellation letter if you dare. read more
