I've lived in many different places for job relocations: Washington DC, California, westchester county, NY, Bethpage NY and now upstate NY. I have been coming to R+R Dental for years. Even though I moved from Queens to Westchester, I continue to make the trek because I wouldn't trust anyone else with my mouth, teeth, gums, etc. The office is state of the art with massage/heated chairs and extremely professional. I would not even give one star to this practice. I was mislead by a receptionist prior to my visit about the cost of a temporary cap. When I arrived, that price doubled, sticking me with an office visit and X-ray charges, but no fixed chip. I did not want an X-ray, or extra dental work, but a smooth talking Dr. Rivera finessed it into a 2k quote. When I tried to make an appointment for two weeks later to complete the procedure, I was denied. Guess if you're from out of town, no insurance, you're screwed. This place is magic. Dr Rivera and the whole team are friendly and patient. If it wasn't for Dr Rivera I wouldn't have discovered a benign tumor in my jaw. She is thorough and wonderful to deal with. She helped me through my entire process of picking the right oral surgeon to do the work and even followed up with me post surgery to see how I was feeling. I was using R+R for many years, recently the office staff has become rude and harassing. They constantly call you to move appointments, convenient for them. The last time I went through this exercise, trying to accommodate them, I said yes and then called back later that day to change back and they DEMANDED a no show fee. That is enough for me to go somewhere else. Service has gone downhill since they have expanded. This is my experience and my opinion. I hadn't been to the dentist in a very long time, lets say 20 years long. I've always been extremely fearful of the dentist, maybe due to some dental experiences I had when I was younger -- so going in I was extremely nervous. As soon as I met the staff I was instantly relieved, the staff and Dr Richer were absolutely fantastic. They explained to me in detail everything they were doing and were very positive and optimistic about the work that was needed. The facility is very clean, comfortable and modern. We started with a cleaning that felt more like a massage than anything, the dental hygienist was extremely skilled and knowledgeable. We were loyal customers for a long time. I had no problems with the hygienists but recently I lost my trust in RR. My son had a filling barely one year ago and it got chipped. He doesn't eat hard food or shellfish. The dentist did not tell me it was the same tooth that she filled last year. She showed no intention to back her work. She just estimated a new bill. Most insurances don't cover the filling of the same tooth within 2 years of time frame for a reason. The worst was that I had to ask the office to find out it was the same tooth. Also my son is already 14 yo, she didn't bother to spend a second to explain to him what happened. She just came to me to tell me and give me the invoice. To top it off, the earliest that they could schedule was a month out. read more

You are sent multiple reminders about appointments; so there is no way to forget one. The office has basically an open floor plan; very modern and state of the art equipment. The staff is very welcoming, accomodating and they listen. I recently won a gift for being patient of the Month--- yay for me. They are always having raffles And they do have "Laughing gas" if that is more your speed; I tolerated local anesthesia. I am a clinician myself and believe in optimal Dental health throughout your whole life. My first impression was a wonderful, friendly staff and a beautiful, sleek, clean and modern office. I felt instantly at ease with a team of professional yet easy going individuals. I was impressed that each comfortable chair had it's own nice sized television, to distract anyone from the totally skiddish to the most brave dental patients. My procedure was to remove and replace a lumineer I had placed on in 2007. I was at first very nervous about the removal process. I was pleasantly surprised with absolutely no pain or discomfort, and even so, was still asked very often by Dr. Richer if I was OK or if I needed anything. The entire team genuinely cared about making sure my new tooth would match, fit and provide my confidence back into my smile. The entire procedure only took about 2 hours, and in between processes I was literally laughing and having a great time! I would HIGHLY recommend going to this office! The dentist was so quick to do one big filling and a secondary small one that I was surprised. And guess what? I didn't even need novocaine! Beware. Although my dental insurance covers cleaning and x-rays twice a year, the dentist claimed $41 for a 3 minute viewing of my x-rays and $39 for a 15 second examination after my cleaning. All my life these quick examinations were part of the procedure. But not at this fancy office.
