I have a unique shaped engagement ring and spent 7 months looking for a band with no luck. I was quoted insane amounts at box stores to custom a contour band. Scrolling on Google I found Levy's posting of a unique contour band... I called and spoke with Paige explaining my unique ring and asked for more pictures and to put a hold to let me try it on. Paige was eager to help and messaged me. I drove 3 hours on a Tuesday, went in Paige presented the ring and it fit magically! I was ecstatic, we purchased and they said it would be resized in house and they would be able to ship it to me. I received a call Thursday of the same week they were shipping and now it is Friday and I have my beautiful wedding band. I will definitely make the drive to be a returning customer of Levy's!!! I was going with my girlfriend to pick up a piece of jewelry that she was having reset. I've never been in the store before and we went in on a Saturday. They were very busy. However the owner came out to help her and she liked it very much. While we were there I had my girlfriend look at rings that she liked. The next week I called Breton who showed us the rings. Went in to buy a wedding band for myself, heard they are super friendly and great service. The representative that helped me was neither. She was a shorter middle aged woman with short curled brown hair, I forgot her name bc of how condescending she was. I told her I needed something simple, nothing too crazy of price. She immediately showed me some rings, price range $750+. When I said that was a bit too expensive, and asked about the Tungsten and Titanium rings they had in their display case, she said word for word "no you don't want those" and immediately started showing me rings that ranged $700+. I saw a ring I liked in the case she was showing me, and voiced that to her. She said "yeah that one is nice" then looked at the price tag ($250) and said "oh no wonder"....needless to say that was when I checked out mentally. Was going to ask about resizing my grandfather's ring but couldn't even bare to look at her face anymore, had to get out of there. One of the most condescending and snotty places I've ever been too. Best jewelry store in town. If you like vintage rings/necklaces, this is the place to go. I bought my wife's engagement ring in NY (110 years old) and brought it to Levy's for refurbishment. When I got it back, it was in perfect. They know what they are doing. We also both purchased our wedding bands from them along with a Victorian necklace that I gave my wife for a one year anniversary gift. Levy's also has a good selection of vintage watches. I don't really understand why most people would rather have a cheap quartz watch when there is so much history in vintage. They are definitely the best place in Alabama to go to find a huge watch inventory ranging from $100 - $10,000. They do not carry cheap throwaway watches. read more

I visited Levy's today, and was welcomed in, not as a customer only, but warmly welcomed as a friend would open their home to another friend. I had an item I wanted appraised and possibly to sell at some point, and was treated very fairly, and was offered a more professional appraisal of my item than at any other store, not to mention the price offered was much higher than any offer I had. I was also honored to meet mrs. Rhoda, the precious lady you hear on the commercials. She is exactly as sweet as she sounds in the ads. Long story short, I was very pleased with the price offered, the service I received, the personal attention that was afforded to me and my son, and the warmth and hospitality of this fine establishment. I can't compare my visit to Brittani's, but I can advocate that Levy's is a great, well-established jewelry store in Birmingham. I recently decided to have my great-grandmother's antique engagement ring repaired so that I can enjoy it. I had it repaired once before at a shop in Crestline Village, but the repairs did not hold up more than 6 months. I visited Levy's to make sure that the repairs were done well and long-lasting. The gentleman who helped me spent a good deal of time looking over all that needed to be done for the ring. There were parts I was unaware had been damaged! Anyway, it took only a couple of weeks and I've enjoyed the ring everyday since then!! This is not a pawn shop. Just as I was given a trade-in value or a sale-value on my car from Drivers Way recently, one has to expect this changes from day to day. I was given 7 days to make my decision and I knew that they may change the offer. I hate that there was a miscommunication between Brittani and the staff at Levy's, but hopefully they will clear that up. I have been working with Jary and Todd for about a year or so on a project to find a particular watch. I have been wanting a watch that was similar to my father's, who passed away several years ago.
