Life long local resident and my dad went here for over 20 years before he passed in 2001. I come here and again for certain items. My mom also got her meds here for a long time. Never a problem and a very neighbourhood feeling pharmacy. Last week I went by to find an elbow brace after I took a fall and landed on it badly. They didn't seem to have a big selection but I found one that was sized medium. Not gender specific also. I bought it without being able to try it on hoping it would work. I was only able to try it on about an hour later and I could not get it on. I am not overweight at all and my arms and legs are under weight for a 51 year old 5'7 150 lb woman. The box wasn't in best shape when I bought it and it opened very easily as it looked like it may have been used before also. Fast forward I am unable to bring it back until today. 8 days later. It was about $17 dollars and I don't want to waste more money so I want to return it. The owner said it looked used and he wouldn't take it back. I came in wearing one that actually fit and cost less from Walgreens. I told him I couldn't even get it over my elbow. I never "wore" it. He refused to take it back. I'm furious. He's losing a life long residential customer for what $17 bucks? Wow. Told him to keep and I'm never coming back. He'll prob try to resell it I realize but I don't care. They had one in stock but it didn't work for us. Natasha bought it out for my husband to try and she when she was returning it she found a slightly bigger model that worked for us. So, buckle up for a story about Levy's Pharmacy... I called in a refill for my medication. I go to pick up my prescription and I look in the bag and I realize, this isn't my medication. So I call Levy's and say "uhm this isn't my prescribed medication" and the pharmacist says "oh yeah the company that makes yours is out of business but this new medication the same thing" Fast forward 3 days later filled with vomiting and horrible pain, its not the "same thing" Without being on my correct medication (that I take daily) I get debilitating pains. So I decide to stop taking it because at this point, my natural pain is better than having too much of a certain hormone (hormone regulating medication) making me ill. I call back like "this isnt working I'm feeling sick and they assure me they have another, different "better brand just like my old one" so I go to pick it up, and IM GIVEN THE SAME MEDICATION that made me ill before. So Im at a loss. So I go back to my prescribing doctor who then informs me, that because of taking the WRONG medication (That the pharmacist gave me) I had such an imbalance that was causing me to be ill. And the medication that the pharmacist gave me, was "20% different active ingredients than my original prescription" Long story short, I don't believe pharmacists should be able to "suggest" you a new prescription, because boy this pharmacist was w r o n g Thankfully my health issue isn't a life/death matter because this could potentially could have been VERY BAD. I was just in excruciating pain :,) until my doctor had to tell them personally to not switch out my prescription read more

This pharmacy is GREAT, and I'm not kidding. My husband broke his ribs, needed a special remote-controlled recliner so he wouldn't strain his bones trying to get up from a regular chair or sofa -- one call to Levy's and they had two men installing a chair within an hour-and-a-half. The people who work there actually -- hang on to your hats -- give a crap. They ask you what you need, they help you find what you need. The pharmacy ANSWERS QUESTIONS if you have them. This is sooo not the Rite-Aid in Rutherford. Also, they have so many different kinds of bandages (hey, I have kids! -- and a husband!) it's amazing. They'll help you figure out what you need based on the injury -- torn ACL, candlewax burn, etc..... A very cool business. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. I called the pharmacy to find out if they had the medicines I was prescribed in stock, since my usual, local pharmacy was out of stock. I was advised by the person who answered that their store policy is not to disclose on the phone info about narcotics. I asked for the manager and explained that I have a brain tumor, and I didn't want to waste the trip from North Bergen to Lyndhurst if they didn't have the medicine in stock. Her response, in a bitchy voice was, "If you've been diagnosed with cancer, you should already have a pharmacy, and there are plenty of pharmacies between North Bergen and Lyndhurst." I told her she was right, and all of them have to be better than this one. read more

They know their customers and will go above and beyond normal customer service. I have never been so humiliated in my life than i was today by the Pharmacist. Because of a misunderstanding that i admit was my fault, she made me feel like a criminal and embarassed me. There was a mixup with my medications and I was accused of doing something that i didnt do, I walked out of there forgetting my money and feeling like i just got hit by a baseball bat to the head. NO ONE deserves to be spoke to the way I was, Ive had experiences with her over the phone in the past but never to this degree, I think i will stick with my trusted Pharmacy ive been going to for years instead of ever going back to Levys. In the beginning i really liked this pharmacy because of the costs and the counter staff being so courteous and nice but this was just the worst experience I've ever had. read more

The customer service was fantastic and caring. My daughter was recuperating from scoliosis surgery and returned home from the hospital just 3 days before Christmas unable to sleep in bed. Levy delivered a lift recliner chair within 12 hours and it was a God-sent. The item was clean and in perfect order. The delivery people were caring and careful as well as timely.
