Was a regular at CVS up the block but they went downhill fast. Walgreens staff is much more professional and a pleasure to work with.

The pharmacy staff is friendly and helpful, but parking in this small parking lot is horrendous and I wasted half an hour looping around the block so I arrived late and got booted to the end of the line, still, I was in and out in about 15 minutes.

My boyfriend and I both got our Covid shots through Walgreens and were both denied or had problems getting our second dose. My first shot went smooth, I booked my appointment online, filled out paperwork, probably sat around for 15 minutes waiting for them and then was taken. My second shot, which I had scheduled, I arrived to an hour early. I went with the hopes of being taken early and they denied me. I had to wait there one whole hour because they said they had people before me. I saw no one coming in or out. It's a simple shot, it takes one minute to administer. I don't understand the reasoning for it. My boyfriend got his first shot just fine as well and didn't have an appointment for his second. Keep in mind, all over the store and playing on repeat over their radio throughout the store they boast about being a walk-in pharmacy with same day service available. That is so not the case. With still an hour before closing, they denied my boyfriend because they said they had three other people on the list. Again - the procedure takes one minute, you couldn't fit him in? So we drove to the next town over in lyndhurst and they literally got him in and out within 4 minutes. Friendly, fast and easy. That's how it should be. If your Walgreens is by appointment only, don't advertise the opposite. I can see a lot of people wanting to get the vaccine having an issue with this and being turned off by the whole situation. We were lucky enough to be motivated to get it done but I know a lot of people wouldn't be after running around like we did. It's a shame, during this time for them to be giving people the go around about the vaccine is completely irresponsible. Everyone else I have spoken with thought this was insane too, every story I heard was in and out - no problems. I mean it's being mandated and we were turned away. I won't support this Walgreens, ill go to Lyndhurst where I was taken right away without being turned away for the vaccine.

Incident Report: Walgreens, April 18, 2025, 6:01 PM - 6:30 PM EST…read moreTo Whom It May Concern: Today, I visited Walgreens to fill my prescription. After completing that, I scheduled a Lyft to return home. While waiting, I placed my food on a shopping cart near the hallway entrance of the store, keeping it with me at all times. An older cashier approached me and politely asked for the cart. I assured her I wasn't taking it outside, and she seemed satisfied with my response. However, moments later, another Walgreens employee--whose behavior is captured in the attached video--approached me in a far more aggressive and disrespectful manner. I removed my food from the cart, but her hostility escalated the situation. I calmly pointed out her lack of soft skills and called out her rudeness, which led to a heated exchange lasting several minutes. At one point, I remarked, "This comes off as very racist," highlighting the undertones of her behavior. Unexpectedly, a white male customer--bald, likely in his 40s, accompanied by a young girl--interjected from the checkout line, dismissing my observation by saying, "It's not racist." Despite his unsolicited comment, I remained focused on addressing the Walgreens employee. I firmly told him his input was unwelcome and warned him against escalating the situation further. His response was to criticize my language in front of his daughter, though he had inserted himself into a matter that had nothing to do with him. Throughout the incident, I stood calmly at the store entrance, making it clear I wasn't seeking conflict--especially given my recent surgery and physical discomfort. Yet, the energy directed at me felt steeped in "white privilege," , rudeness, ignorance, and racism altogether as if I were being treated as a threat simply for waiting for my ride. Shortly after, two police cars arrived as though responding to a major emergency. Officers separated those involved and took statements. One officer, a chief from Lyndhurst who knows me personally, helped de-escalate the situation upon recognizing me. Meanwhile, the male customer who had been so vocal quietly disappeared from the scene. Attached is video evidence showing the Walgreens employee's aggressive behavior once I began recording her actions. Very Respectfully,
