Pharmacies these days don't sell medicine alone and with a lot of competition out there, are forced to sell anything under the sun. Not far away is the time that they would start selling vegetables too. This CVS location is no exception too. They have a variety of items that they sell, right from medicines to nail polishes, candies to gift items. I haven't tried their photo service yet but they have a neat section on the far end of the store. I intended to write this review for the kind consultation that the pharmacists at this location, offer. In specific to Michelle the pharmacist, who attended to my wife's cold couple of times. She does not send directions from being inside the pharmacy, but steps out of it to first understand what the problem is, take us to the right aisle and gives us the right medicine to take home. The pharmacy as such is clean and all the items are stacked to perfection. The checkout is also fairly easier with staff that are kind and smiling. Not to miss, they have a spacious parking lot. read more

My first time at this particular CVS location and it was a very uncomfortable experience. One of the managers on duty, "Patricia," kept STALKING me around the store as I shopped! There were plenty of other customers in the store, however, let's just say none of them "looked" like me. I will be reporting this to their corporate office! read more

I wish I could give this pharmacy a nice rating but I've been on line at the pharmacy for over 15 minutes. Not ideal coming here with the line wrapping around the shelves. Only one person is at the pick up counter too. read more

The pharmacy department needs a complete makeover. The staff is stoic & curt; they take way too long to help you when picking up. You will be there a 1/2 hour just wait to be assisted, and then another 10 mins for them to locate and give you your meds. read more

This CVS is super convenient for me. I was shocked to see the amount of complaints about the pharmacy! I always have a good experience when I'm there. Sure I may wait 10-15 minutes to fill a prescription but I think that's really standard. The staff in the front is always super helpful too, I remember I needed help with printing pictures once and it was close to closing. I felt so bad and the woman was so nice and still took care of me and helped me out tremendously. Plus everything is always super neat and clean in the aisles. read more

I have a problem with the pharmacy every time I need my meds or meds for my family. When you call the pharmacy be prepared to wait 15 to 20 mins. I thought having a CVS right down the block from my home would be convenient but no such luck. The staff makes you feel like your bothering them when telling them you are not taking a prescription any longer and than the next time you have that prescription filled the wrong meds are filled. The standards in the pharmacy dept. is very low. The staff work throughout the front of the store wow, helpful, kind. what a difference it's night and day from the pharmacy to the front of the store. I always tend to find what I need here. This is your average pharmacy where you will find items like cough drops, make up, candy and so forth. They have a sale aisle that I recommend mainly after a holiday has passed. I've found great Halloween and Christmas sale items that can be stocked and used for the following year. You can also use this location for your one hour photo print pick up. It's quick and always working. Best part is how quick the registers move. read more

The worst pharmacy. They take forever to do anything and never communicate. Every time I go for a prescription it takes over a week to get filled because they don't have it in stock or they haven't gotten to it yet. Don't go here. Never coming here again. Stick to Walgreens. read more

the minute clinic doctors are nice; however the pharmacy is trash. the pharmacists is dismissive on every occasion I've encountered him. rude and very short, I can understand you see a lot of people of all different temperaments. yet when you're in the business of helping/treating people you always try to be courteous and welcoming. read more

Worst pharmacy experience ever. This pharmacy is close to my home so I have been trying to use it since moving here one year ago. Often I will wait longer than 20 minutes in a line to drop off or pick up a prescription and get sub-par service by the time I get to the front of the line. They advertise a "drive-up pharmacy" as a convenience for customers but they often leave you sitting in your car without acknowledging your arrival or lean their head out the window and warn you that they won't be able to help you for at least 30 minutes or tell you to come back later. My last trip to the pharmacy will absolutely be my last. I waited OVER 45 minutes to drop off one prescription and by the time the pharmacist got off the phone and filled my request I did not even get an apology for the appalling amount of time I waited. Not only that - she was incredibly rude to me! Do NOT waste your time here. There are other pharmacies in the area that aren't nearly as bad. read more

Good location, pretty small CVS and seems like nothing's in stock. The past few times I've come here they don't have what I'm looking for. I was looking to buy some Eclipse mints (my fave) and was disappointed that they didn't have any in stock. They had the gum but no mints :-(. From what I understand all of the CVS stores should carry the Eclipse mints. I did my research. Anyways, I'm not going to hold it against them but like I said before its not the first time I visited this CVS and they didn't have what I wanted in stock. read more

Ok, when this store first opened I was super excited. It's huge & sells many variations of merchandise that other CVS stores in town don't. Fast foward to now & each time I go there they never have what I'm looking for or it's a mission just to find what I'm looking for. Staff are horible, none of them are friendly & constantly have a look on their faces as if they dislike their job, well with the exception of one woman who's helpful. My experience with the pharmacy dept is getting worse every month. How can the pharmacy staff not know when they are to be getting a shipment of meds in. Here I am on day 5 without my blood pressure medication. It first started out with CVS pharmacy staff telling me that my doctors office is not getting back to them with the okay in refills, I called my doctors office and cleared that up within 5 minutes and CVS had okay to fill. I than get a text message from.CVS telling me that medication is on order. I call and was told it should be in on Monday, okay Monday comes and I call and I'm told meds are still not there and to call back in two hours....three hours later I call to be told they still do not have meds in. I question as to why and all I'm told is they are having a problem with this particular drug shipment. Ask if they can get from another CVS and I'm told the one in Newark has in stock but I would need to pick it up the kearny location could not have any transferred to them. So here I am without meds and I'm convinced CVS could careless....this was the same reason I transferred my prescriptions from Walmart to CVS. I guess I need to look for another pharmacy. read more

The worst CVS I have ever been in. The pharmacy has even given me the wrong medication. It is a good thing that I know what medicines I take and are aware of the names and what the medicine should look like. Someone who is unaware could have a big problem if this happened to them. read more

What a terrible group of pharmacy staff you have back there. I am instructed that CVS needs to contact my insurance for a prescription override and the girl who picks up the phone tells me she can't call. I ask what am I supposed to do if that's what I was instructed to do? She makes no attempt to give me any solutions. I ask what my options are and she says I can pay for them even after the insurance needs them to call them and it's free of charge. I told her I'd contact another pharmacy for my medication. I went in to fill a Flonase prescription, I preferred to wait & was told 25 mins, I replied really? There was only a couple waiting, he said to check in 15 mins, so 20 mins later I went to the counter and asked if it's ready, and to my surprise the young man that took my prescription had left it right where he was entering it in the computer, I was flabbergasted and asked how much longer he said he had to call someone, I was so annoyed that I asked for my prescription back, and told him "it's not like you have to mix anything or count pills, it's a box that needs labeling, that's it" I took my prescription back and said out loud "I'll just take it to the neighborhood pharmacy, the little guy can always use help".Last time I will ever fill a prescription there, they lost 4 customers at once. This review is for the CVS located at Schuyler ave in Kearny (they recently moved from passaic ave). I don't have the name of this Pharmacy representative yet but, when I called them up, they gave me the worse custmer service possible.. This young girl I spoke withl is very nasty, and rude. On top of that she never called me back so I could go pick up some medicine I had order, as she said she woiuld. I'm definitely not going back there in my life. read more
