They carry so many items for all sorts of outdoor activities -- clothing, hunting gear, backpacks, water bottles, hiking shoes, layers like jackets and leggings, and so much more. I was able to find everything we needed, which was a huge relief. I was also able to order a few additional things I'd forgotten online and pick them up in the store the next day! Grandma went on with her sister and brothers, homesteading in New Mexico and Colorado. His generations followed him into the trade. Born in Los Angeles, living on the edges, I made a career in the rural west. CENEX has been most places I have. I now live in Central Phoenix, AZ. Their fuel pumps are open when the main store opens. We fueled here July 12th and 13th, 2024. I didn't quite fill the tank on the 12th. We returned in daylight hours to top off - and step inside. Our nation is divided. Most people live in cities, obsessed with their tiny circles of life. They know nothing of rural life, making a living from the soil, the most Ancient hunting and fishing lifeways or guns for more than imagined threats generated by endless entertainment crime shows. This store is a VERY cool place. Mostly heavy duty, practical, useful items for work and wear. A total inventory for the outdoor people feeding and entertaining themselves hunting and fishing. Anyone can find useful items for work, wear or repair. The rural few need a little respect from the urban many. That's where food grows, that's where God lives. That's where it will take a very long time to create alternative machines that work and travel in country places.

The owner has done a FANTASTIC job at bringing in styles that are wearable instead of just novelty western pieces, which is what is most often found in these types of towns. While she does throw her own little bit of western flair in there, the store is very modern. There are great yoga pieces, work appropriate pieces, and a great spread of other fashionable items. This is sure to be one of the most popular shopping spots in Big Sky.

It is clear that Victoria truly loves helping people find footwear that matches their goals. I discussed what I was looking for, and Victoria took that information and turned it into a shoe-finding spree! She brought out at least four pairs for me to try. She even brought out some shoes that she thought I might like based on what we talked about. My husband started talking to her, and wouldn't you know it, Victoria brought out some shoes for him, too. She never made us feel rushed or like she was trying to get us out the door. She even helped several other people while we were trying on our shoes, and all of them left with smiles on their faces. The Basecamp is so lucky to have Victoria as a stellar employee. We, as consumers, are even luckier to benefit from her extensive knowledge about footwear.
